Alec's first battle in the tournament was about to start. A smirk was plastered on his face, looking forward to battling. However, his enjoyment of pokemon battles wasn't necessarily the reason why he entered in the first place. The grand prize was just simply too enticing to pass up! ~~Arceus knew that he needed the money.~~

Alec threw two Pokeballs out in front of him, bringing out his shiny Charizard, Inferno as well as his Aggron, Brix. Believe it or not, he did some strategizing for the tournament beforehand. They may not be as well thought out as someone else's team, but Alec believed that his team had what it took to make it to the finals. "Looking forward to our battle," Alec said, continuing to hold his smirk while speaking to @elio . The cold winds from the hail blew, as well as the cackling of electricity at his feet did nothing to make Alec's confidence waver. He was ready to battle, as well as ready to win.

The thrill of battle coursed through Elio's veins again. And he was almost sure it wasn't the electricity at his feet or the hail falling from the heavens. Smirking toward his opponent, alec foster, he threw out two pokeballs - one containing his Tinkaton and the other holding his Noctowl.

"Likewise, let's have a fun match!" While the money meant nothing to him, Elio was personally excited for a chance to test his battling skills against new trainers, people he had never met before. Keeping his skills sharp and letting his pokemon learn and grow.

STATS;
TINKATON - HP: 1,000
NOCTOWL - HP: 1,000

Alec continued to hold his smirk once Elio spoke to him. From the looks of it, it didn't seem like Elio's pokemon were gonna make a move, So Alec figured that his pokemon will. "Inferno, Dynamic Punch. Brix, Iron Tail," Alec said to his Charizard and aggron, making them begin the battle. Inferno flew forward swiftly toward Elio's Noctowl, throwing its fist in the Noctowl's, making it go backward. As that was happening, Brix lunged forward as its tail began to glow; proceeding to side-swipe the Tinkaton with it.

The hail that was falling, along with electricity cackling at their feet wasn't helpful to his Charizard and Aggron, however, Alec believed that Elio's pokemon would gain any benefits from it either. It'd just be a matter of who's pokemon could hit harder while trying to withstand the hail. Alec's Charizard and Aggron, or Elio's Tinkaton and Noctowl.

TLDR;
- Charizard attacks Elio's Noctowl w/ DYNAMIC PUNCH! BP = 100 dmg.
- Aggron attacks Elio's Tinkaton w/ IRON TAIL! BP = 100 dmg.
- Alec's Charizard and Aggron take 50 dmg each from the falling hail!

Things kicked off right out the gate after the respective introductions. Alec's Charizard and Aggron rush forward and land powerful blows on Elio's pokemon. But the duo wasn't perturbed and instead were ready to follow up with their own attacks via their trainer's orders.

"Kangxi, use Reflect. Titania, follow up with Gigaton Hammer!" The owl pokemon let out a proud cry as it cast reflect on the Tinkaton. Meanwhile, said Tinkaton raised her hammer as she slammed it down on her target of choice.

STATS;
MOVES -
NOCTOWL uses REFLECT on TINKATON REDUCING DAMAGE by HALF! BP = 50 dmg.
TINKATON USES GIGATON HAMMER ON alec foster's CHARIZARD! BP = 160 dmg.
TINKATON and NOCTOWL take -50 BP from falling HAIL!

TINKATON - HP: 900
NOCTOWL - HP: 850

The dragon tamer watched on as his pokemon's attacks connected, however, Elio's Noctowl cast REFLECT on its ally, protecting the Tinkaton from the full force of Charizard's attack. Inferno, Protect!" Alec called out before the tinkaton's hammer was brought down on it, casting a barrier that protected itself from the incoming impact, or well, at least the full force of it.

While that happened, Aggron, switched its target from the Tinkton to the Noctowl, bringing down an IRON TAIL on it, smacking it away. It was clear that Elio and his pokemon meant business, but so did Alec's, and they weren't gonna go down without a fight.

TLDR;
- Charizard uses protect, only receiving half the damage from Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer! half dmg. = 80 dmg.
- Aggron attacks Elio's Noctowl w/ IRON TAIL! BP = 100 dmg.
- Alec's Charizard and Aggron take 50 dmg each from the falling hail!

Charizard - HP: 820
Aggron - HP: 900

Frowning, Elio watched displeased that his Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer was blocked via Protect of all things. But of course, his opponent would have some defensive moves, as expected from all of the competitors. But he wasn't done yet! He was determined to win this and didn't want to go down in his first match! "Titania, time to use Metal Claw. Kangxi, use Extrasensory." He was still in this!

STATS;
MOVES -
TINKATON uses METAL CLAW on alec foster's CHARIZARD! BP = 50 dmg.
NOCTOWL uses EXTRASENSORY on alec foster's AGGRON! BP = 80 dmg.
TINKATON and NOCTOWL take -50 BP from falling HAIL!

It was clear that the pressure of the battle was running high, however, Alec remained calm in the middle of the hail storm that surrounded them. "Match that Metal Claw with Dynamic Punch!" Alec called out to Inferno, prompting to it to attack. The Tinkaton's claw and Inferno's fist clashed together, knocking both of them backward.

Meanwhile, Elio's unseeable attack from his Noctowl connected, striking Brix. However, upon taking the hit, Brix's fist glowed. Then with a defiant roar, Brix launched a METAL BURST attack at the Noctowl. Alec once again formed a smirk where his lips were, proud that his pokemon were managing to hold their own in this battle.

TLDR;
- Inferno the Charizard takes the hit from Tinkaton's METAL CLAW! 50 dmg.

- Inferno the Charizard attacks the Tinkaton w/ DYNAMIC PUNCH! BP = 100 dmg.

- Brix the Aggron takes damage from the Noctowl's EXTRASENSORY! 80 dmg.

- Brix the Aggron attacks the Noctowl w/ METAL BURST! Metal Burst's BP is based on the damage Aggron received and is increased by 150% (i.e. multiplied by 1.5) - BP: 80 x 1.5 = 120 dmg.

- Alec's Charizard and Aggron take 50 dmg each from the falling hail!

Charizard - HP: 720
Aggron - HP: 770
