Aggressive Paradox Pokemon was a problem that could not be ignored. No matter how threatening Team Rocket was on the battlefield a significant herd of Great Tusks rampaging about could prove equally as devastating.

For this reason Johanna had responded to the distress signal of another League Party. Dense interdream mist had created a veritable spawning ground for these paradoxes.

From her position in the air, atop her Dragapult she could all but look down upon the havoc the Pokemon were already causing. Eyes scanning for sight of survivors or anyone still fighting that she could aid.

What Johanna would stumble across was an absolute slaughter. A single Great Tusk was running roughshod across the battlefield. The broken and mutilated corpses of humans and Pokemon alike were strewn through the area. Only a few Pokemon, and a single human, were left fighting the juggernaut of a Paradox Pokemon.

A small Totodile bravely blasted the beast with a vengeful Hydro Pump. From the hill overlooking the battlefield, a Clawitzer would fire off a Mega Launcher-boosted Water Pulse towards the beast.

As the two Pokemon were attempting to take down the rampaging Pokemon, Thomas desperately attempted to save one of the men who had taken a direct attack from the Great Tusk, to no avail.

To gaze upon the slaughter from up high was horrible. So much death, so much destruction. At first she had felt inclined to empty her stomach, but some manner of mental strength made manifest within her allowed her to halt the potential projectile vomiting.

“This.. This is bad.”

The Dragapult made its low growls in agreement.

But luck was on their side, for as her eyes scanned the perimeter they found movements of battle. A pair of Pokemon fighting a horrible beast while a person was trying to save another. With a trained motion did she summon a Paradox Pokemon of her own. She hurriedly pointed at the Great Tusk and gave the command. “Help them with that!”

The Flutter Mane made eager sounds as it flew off, firing of a MOONBEAM at the Great Tusk at the same time.

And then turned her attention to the Dragapult. “Land over there.” She pointed towards the moving man. Dragapult nodded and did so hurriedly descending until Johanna could jump off near Thomas.

When Thomas realized that the man close to him couldn't be saved, all he could do was shut the man's eyelids, and take his dog tags. It wouldn't be the last death, either, as the Totodile's Hydro Pump eventually petered out. The angered Great Tusk stared down the small Water-type, coming at the young creature in a Headlong Rush. The Water Pulse it'd take would not sway it from its course, as it collided with the crocodile, killing it on impact.

"Fuck!"

Thankfully, he wouldn't be alone for long, as Johanna landed nearby. "Thank Xerneas you're here. This one spawned from the Mist, and wiped out the entire squad.", he'd tell her.

While the Great Tusk would no doubt be occupied by the Flutter Mane, Thomas reached for another Pokeball.
