"We are following Greyson's advice on coverage, Mun. Let's find ourselves something that prowls underground." She did not have a canine pokemon that could sniff out underground pokemon, so she had to just wander around and hope to detect the signs of a ground type pokemon herself. She really needed to up her catching game if she wanted to contend with other Rangers in capacity to help. Her small team was hindering her in a lot of ways, and she was a little tired of getting humbled by it.

More is better, she decided. "Now, let's hope I don't have to actually start digging myself." Between the laidback Munchlax and her tricky Gengar, she would be doing all of that work herself without either of them lifting a paw.

Robin's eyes flickered over to the Baltoy; she knew it would give her better movement over ground, but... She couldn't do it. A psychic type? She'd rather lose her Ranger license. With her luck, it would turn on her mid-battle or never listen. She walked faster through the desert, urging Munchlax to pick up the pace to get more distance from it. She didn't want to give it to the opportunity to confuse her or throw her through the air, though the species wasn't known for being that aggressive.

Robin passed the Pupitar without paying it any attention. She had recently captured a hungry one of her garden and had no use for an additional one. She hadn't studied breeding much to make any potential use of it, but she wasn't sure breeding was a future avenue for her. Well. She'd either find something or not. She had little need to worry about it, as she would have countless opportunities in the future. Anything to support her as a Ranger would be just fine.

Perfect.

She couldn't have dreamed up a better scenario. A Donphan was an excellent ground type. His ability to inflict earthquakes made him fearsome, but this power over the ground also made him an ideal pokemon for several different rescue scenarios. She sent her snacking Munchlax after him, though he stopped a few meters short to finish his oran berry. The Donphan, however, turned to pay attention to the little normal type. Robin feared the worst, that the Donphan was going to get a quick attack out on her buddy, but the large pokemon only extended his trunk to take the oran berry and plop it into her mouth.

Oh. Not a bad turn of events at all (not that Munchlax thought so, tilting his head back to cry miserably). She came closer slowly, watching the Donphan finish the refreshing berry. Then, she pulled a pokeball to catch the ground type after his snack.
