At this point meeting out on the arena floor had become something of a routine for Osiris and Victoria. Today they had arrived especially early to make sure they got their proper warm-up time in. The last few times they had been running late and Tori wished for the best results, which meant sacrificing some leisure time, which she didn't mind.[break][break]

It was feeling particularly chilly this January morning so Victoria made sure to clutch her leather jacket closer to herself. Her eyes seemed to light up once they landed on her opponent. It meant they could finally get started. She was sure she'd feel warmer once the battle actually started. [break][break]

"Nice to meet you, I'm Tori." she greeted them. Victoria had gotten used to the process by now. Being polite was becoming natural to her now, in this setting at least.

A man of little words it would seem. Victoria could get behind that. Under normal circumstances she wasn't much of a talker herself. But having a slight image she needed to project she figured it would best to stay 'approachable' at all times. "Have it your way then." she says as she turns and heads back towards her Lucario.[break][break]

"Ready?" she asked. His gruff snort was enough to let her know the answer to that question. "Then let's begin." she said with a soft clap of her hands. Green aura immediately began to form and envelop the Lucario before in a flash of EXTREME SPEED he was gone. The green aura streaked across the field as he closed in on his target. While rushing forward he had prepped a smaller AURA SPHERE in one hand, hoping to fire it off once in close range.[break][break]

aaron raises his eyebrows, surprised at how in-sync Victoria Beckett and her lucario are, surprised by how efficient the fight-type is with covering ground to destroy his pikachu. her hair stands on end as the aura sphere explodes from lucario's paws, giving her a split second to find a way to dodge it. [break][break]instinctively, she flattens her rat body against the ground and feels the attack sail over her back. beady eyes peer up from her forepaws, then she springs up to headbutt her opponent with quick attack.

Well, that was embarrassingly ineffective. Victoria sighed heavily as she pinched the bridge of her nose. It was fine, shit like that happened all the time. But it never failed to sting a little each time it did. Tori could feel the slightest heat of flush rush across her cheek in her embarrassment. [break][break]

Never the matter, she recovered, as would Osiris. Their opponent was rushing them now and it was in close quarters that Osiris enjoyed fighting the most. Once the distance was properly closed between the two he'd use CLOSE COMBAT. A barrage of kicks, punches, swipes, and the likes all aimed at landing a solid hit on his opponent to make up for his earlier blunder. [break][break]

aaron smirks as his pikachu outmaneuvers her opponent in the first draw. he didn't know the fat rat had it in her to be nimble enough to duck under an aura sphere like that. her quick attack meets fur and steely frame, then she bounces off with a small ache in her skull. [break][break]she barely has time to land on her paws before the lucario is striking out with a flurry of punches and kicks. another quick attack is hastily utilized to try and dodge the blows and hit her opponent again. [break][break]

Talk about embarrassing times two. This wasn't shaping up to be much of a fight, which was much to Tori's dismay. She at least wanted to cause their opponent to sweat a little bit. Then again, perhaps this just wasn't Osiris' day. Their loss seemed imminent and they hadn't even managed to put a dent in their opponent yet. [break][break]

"Again!" Tori ordered. Osiris was beginning to feel frustrated himself. They seemed to be on the same page as they glanced at each other. Victoria twisted the mega accessory ring on her finger before bringing it to her lips. In a flash her Lucario had mega evolved, as a way of combating the thread and hurdle in front of them. As the pikachu charged forward the jackal would meet them in CLOSE COMBAT. Hopefully they stood a fighting chance. [break][break]

[break][break]brows furrowed, aaron activates his dynamax band. his pikachu glows with red energy, growing until she's no longer a squeaky toy whistling beneath each punch. she towers over the field, formidably large and full of renewed strength as dynamax energy surges through her body.[break][break] PIII, she roars, challenging the lucario. Finally, she managed to land a hit on her opponent. She sighed in relief. They were still in a precarious situation but at least it wouldn't be an embarrassing 'perfect' loss on her end. She watched in awe as the pikachu surged with dynamax energy before her. This wasn't the first time she'd seen such a phenomenon but it was impressive every time.[break][break]

"Hang in there!" she called out to her Lucario. The pikachu's presence was overwhelming but they had to try their best. With a howl, the jackal began to gather energy all around him. Shaping it into a massive AURA SPHERE. The ball continued to grow in colossal size, if only to match their opponent. [break][break]

Once 'bomb' like sphere was complete, the jackal would release it towards its opponent in its like make or break effort to turn the tides of this fight in it's favor. It was nail biting, butt clenchingly, nerve-wracking to save the least.[break][break]

Victoria Beckett 's lucario begins to gather an aura sphere. boosted by its mega-evolution — or so aaron assumes — the ball of energy grows until it dwarfs the steel-type holding it up. his eyes widen, but he can only stand and watch as his pikachu tries to deflect the sphere with a max strike.[break][break]the attack splits between her fist, and it collides into her body as two aura spheres instead of one. the strength of it makes her wobble, then slowly topple backwards onto her haunches. the ground shudders. aaron sways and stumbles but somehow manages to not eat shit in front of his opponent. [break][break]

How much longer could they hold out? Only time could tell. For now though, it would seem that Osiris could no longer maintain his mega evolved form having exhausted a lot of energy with that last attack of his. "Hang in there!" Tori called out to her partner as he fought against exhaustion.[break][break]

With a grit of his jaw he pushes himself forward attempting to rush his opponent. As he rushed towards the giant pikachu he used it's body as a springboard of sorts to launch himself into the air. Light began to pull and form as she collected it within himself before releasing it in a highly concentrated beam. A FLASH CANNON cutting through the air and space around them aimed straight for his opponents large frame. [break][break]
