Drinking a refreshing water at that tiki bar she'd been to here in Lilycove, Genny bounced quietly on a bench, Gordo next to her. The two of them were spent after the matches of the day, and exhaustion had taken them both. Eight matches in, and a wild victory and loss record.[break][break]

The Sandshrew was getting as much experience as he could, and Genny couldn't be prouder. The two deserved a break... huh.[break][break]

The streetlights wash over the city streets, a small little railing overlooking the city... and someone had walked by. Genny couldn't put it to words, but she could feel sweat trickle down her neck.[break][break]

"One more?" she turns to Gordo, who flexes and nods, as Genny throws herself upwards, and with Gordo on her heels, she skids onto the pavement, and points towards them. A woman.[break][break]

Even if she did feel off. She was confident enough. "Hey! Want a quick round?" she calls out to her, with a grin.[break][break]

Unknowing as to why she felt so nervous.[break][break]

Victoria and Osiris were also on a 'break' of sorts. She had promised the Lucario she would treat him to something special to eat since he'd been doing so well. So, she figured that she'd make good on that promise. After all, those that performed well should be rewarded, no? That's what she'd been taught all her life so it was no wonder she didn't think any differently now. [break][break]

While she'd been looking for a place to stop by she paused for a moment, sensing someone approaching nearby. Sharp violet hues peered down at the familiar 'ginger snap' that she had run into on an island not too long ago. Victoria recognized her, surprisingly remembering the encounter, but she was sure the girl would not remember her. [break][break]

If anything her cold gaze might be familiar. But other than that, to the young ranger, Tori was just a law-abiding citizen. Tori glanced at Osiris who sniffed at the air upon her arrival. The last time she'd seen this girl her spirit had been broken over the loss of her pokémon. A low chuckle escaped her lips. Maybe she'll be some amusement this time.[break][break]

"Sure, sounds fun."

Thankfully enough, Genny didn't remember her at all. The violet eyes made her uneasy, but that was probably it. Probably just nerves! Nothing to it! And what with this, frankly, beautiful woman agreeing to the fight, it has Genny grinning ear-to-ear, with a slight, very light tremble.[break][break]

"G-Good. Heh." Was she just nervous? That's not like her. Returning her Sandshrew though, she taps onto her DYNAMAX bracelet, and from behind after throwing a massive Pokeball, comes the massive armadillo.[break][break]

Since that fateful encounter, Genny had gotten a new toy.[break][break]

"Ready?" she calls out... and once the woman was? "Rockfall!" Gordo mews out a massive giant from behind, and explodes with a MAX ROCKFALL over the dimly lit city streets of Lilycove. One of them had to make contact.[break][break]

A light SANDSTORM begins too, something Genny and Gordo would use for later.[break][break]

Once they had relocated towards one of the pop up arenas around Lilycove, the battle began in earnest. The little ginger snap wasted no time in Dynamaxing her pokémon. Victoria watched as sandshrew grew into a towering behemoth. Crossing her arms, Victoria fixed her gaze on her opponents. This would be good training for Osiris and she was sure he knew that as well. [break][break]

He didn't get any action in on this girl and her team back on the island. It was time to see if he could keep up. They didn't have much time to think though before a MAX ROCKFALL was used. A giant slab of stone came rushing towards the ground aimed to crush the Lucario. A sandstorm picking up around them.

Osiris was quick in utilizing EXTREME SPEED to his advantage. A green aura enveloped him before he became a streaking flash before vanishing. The goal? To hopefully get out of the way before he got crushed. Osiris would dodge out of the way just in time and manage to use the slab of rock as a springboard of sorts. [break][break]

Dashing up the wall of rock towards his opponent he leapt into the air. A brilliant light began to emit from him in the sky as a FLASH CANNON was prepped, aimed, and fired right at his opponent from point blank range. Victoria nodded her head in approval, waiting and watching. [break][break]

Lucario were something else... Genny's eyes watched the jackal jump through the rocks and wreckage, and as she grins, she feels a pang in her chest.[break][break]

Her eyes focus, as the FLASH CANNON makes Gordo cry out, the giant armadillo reaching for himself.[break][break]

"Shake it off, Gordo! You got this, give them the quake!" The armadillo throws both hands downwards to smash the ground open with a MAX QUAKE![break][break]

The move landed and Victoria nodded in approval. Osiris stayed quick on his feet as he continued to attempt to avoid his opponents moves. This time as he ran and attempted to avoid the fissures in the ground he formed two AURA SPHERES in his hands.[break][break]

As he continued to use his agility and speed to his advantage the energy orbs in his paws grew larger before he combined them both into one larger orb and aimed it at his opponents chest. [break][break]
