Bronze unwraps a bar of compressed fruit and takes a bite, chewing steadily as he regards the unending procession of hopeful bottle shakes, each one lit with the gleam of desire in their eyes, yearning to be the one to make the soda pop...Pop. So many disappointed souls, casting envious, hateful gazes upon the sticky, successful soda shakers. What a strange thing this was.

If he’d not hesitated a few moments ago, he’d finally be free of this demented game of “pass the parcel”, only instead of a parcel it was a ticking time bomb disguised in the shape of a soda bottle.[break][break]

Ugh… he thought with a bit of an ugly look on his face as he quickly cracked another bottle of ramune open and downed more than half the contents and glared at everyone else as this time he stood up, and before the shop keep could place the bottle down on the counter, he made a grab for it and shook it as hard as he could.[break][break]

A few seconds later a loud clacking noise came from the impact as he set the bottle down right in the middle of the wooden coaster that was meant to hold the bottle of “honor” (or was it dishonor, he could never really tell) while everyone else came by to get their chance to shake it.[break][break]

With a bit of an annoyed huff, he slams some more bills down and orders another half-dozen bottles of ramune to pass the time, idly watching and waiting for the time he would be close enough to shake the damned thing and have it drench him in who knew what flavor the older man had brought out this time around.[break][break]

Bronze eyes the faintly obscene sight of @poufkin doing her best to shake the soda pop bottle apart, possibly on a molecular level given the vigour the woman was applying to the task, then turns his flat regard to the shopkeep. Yep. The man was breathing heavily, flushed, and sweating. Disgusting. It was amazing how many people had been roped into doing this ridiculous tradition - not even he had been immune. Baffling.

how the others are still holding up was beyond kyle. he doesn't see any reason to stay besides to maybe watch the agony of others as the soda explodes on their face. that was his, after all.

Thomas sat in the back, casually sipping a drink as he watched two more bottles explode. Perhaps it was something about getting one of the bottles to explode that helped things along, but he started to get more into things.
