Zachary knew he was still scared of bugs, but as Swadloon just nuzzled against him, he felt more at ease. Perhaps it was the veil of leaves between them, but more so, its kinder nature. "It's not that... It's just.... It wanted to be with me. It wanted to help me, just like Rabsca. They wanted to be with a trainer and opened up to me. It's why I want to get over my fear," Zachary said as he gave Swadloon a pat on the head. "They want to be with me, so how can I be afraid of them? They deserve the best I can give them. I... have to be better,Zachary said, clearly a touch emotional. [break][break] As the talked, a presence was above-- slowly but surely a red figure was crawling down from the trees-- drawn to Zachary too as he talked. It overheard his conversation and was curious. "Rabsca is a psychic type, so there is that. And Swadloon is a caring Pokemon by nature so it just worked out. But if you approach me with something capable of hurting or attacking, I don't really answer well..." Zachary soon felt the chill above him. [break][break] Slowly he looked up, to see the unblinking eyes of the Scizzor above him. [break][break] Dizzy sighed, and soon raised his paws to cover his big ears. [break][break] "GHAAAAAAAA!!" Zachary's scream echoed as he rolled and scampered away, startled by the massive bug who had approached. Scizor was, however, not rattled by the shout, being seemingly extremly strong and confident. Zachary looked at it as it crawled on the tree-- and soon rose up and took flight in the air with its wings. [break][break] Zachary, curious all the same, took out his pokedex to analyze it. [break][break] [break][break] Scizor soon landed upon the grass, and glared at Zachary with a steely, and yet patient stare. "Sizzzz..." it hissed in a bug-like manner, pointing to Zachary. [break][break] Zachary was normally good understanding wild Pokemon, but this one was unnerving him, unable to understand what it wanted. [break][break] It would stare, then flex its pincers, eager for battle. [break][break] Shalin, more in touch with pokemon of this type, could tell that the Scisor wanted to battle Zachary. However, it waited. It wasn't some wild pokemon eager to take a bite out of him-- there was something, respectiable-- honorable about it. It was waiting patiently for Zachary, perhaps overhearing its earnest desire to conqouer his fears. [break][break]

Shalin's support was appreciative, but this Scizor wasn't as 'violent' but still stood before Zachary, ready to fight. It was clear what it wanted-- it wanted to battle. It wanted Zachary to accept it! Trying to look past its scary face and deadly pincers, Zachary felt a bit of peace in his chest. He took a deep breath and knew what he had to do. "Alright... time to battle! I'm gonna catch you, Scizor!" Zachary declared. The Scizor gave a roudy buzz too. "Using Dizzy would be too easy, given he's a fire type. So... GREED, you're up!" Zachary ordered. [break][break] It was a surprise for the Haunter to be called as he laughed and made jokes with the other Pokemon around, talking to the moths. At the call of his name, the eager and trickster Haunter floated into place. Scizor took up a deadly sance, prepared to attack! The Haunter snickered. [break][break] "Let's do this! Greed, use Shadow Ball!" Zachary encouraged! Greed didn't hesitate as it generated a ball of darkness-- and fired it at Scizor! However, what was odd was how fast the Scizor was! Somehow its metallic body, should of been heavy. Instead, it was light on its feet as it hopped and jumped overhead. It soon came down, intending to strike with a sharp claw of steel! [break][break] "Greed, strike with Shadow Punch!" Zachary shouted. The mischevious Haunter had its hands spin in the air-- disconnected to its body-- and soon gave a 'sucker punch' mid air, smacking the Scizor in the face. Scizor soon went flying from the impact, having been dealt a significant blow. [break][break] Greed chuckled to himself having gotten the jump on Scizor-- and enough damage for Zachary to take on another partner. "SCIZOR, Come to me!" Zachary shouted and threw his Pokeball. The ball reached in the air where it flew and soon Scizor saw it. It didn't move this time-- it wanted to be caught by Zachary as it hit-- and it vanished inside. [break][break] Zachary looked puzzled as he saw the Scizor enter the Pokeball, and was soon sealed inside. It clicked shut and was secure, allowing Zachary to pick it up. As other Pokemon, like a slug and fish looked on as the others gantered at the battle, Zachary was puzzled. "Why... would it want to be trained by me? I really don't understand when it just met me?" Zachary asked. Despite his nervousness to bugs, he seemed calm. [break][break] Sensing the tense moment, Greed Yawned. Then had a naughty idea... The ghost soon covered its face-- its features melting. Then flashing his hands over his face-- produced a face of himself with "BUG EYES'-- intending to scare Zachary next time he saw him. [break][break]
