The Cubchoo let out a happy little cry as the man cradled him. The Cubchoo attempted to hug him with his stubby little arms, while giving him a sweet look.

As the man began to stumble over his wording, Thomas chuckled a bit. "Don't worry, I understand what you mean.", he reassured the Johtoan. "I know there are places that treat their Pokemon less than ethically. I try my best to make sure this place is anything but.", he'd continue, smiling as he looked on at his Pokemon.

"Believe me when I say that studying the Pokemon themselves is a great service to us all. The better we understand them, the better we can care for them.", he'd tell Elliot. "But as you know, there are multiple ways to get involved with them. Training them, Breeding them, competing in Contests with them. The possibilities are endless.", he'd continue.

The Snom, upon finishing her meal, leaped towards Thomas. The Kalosian scooped the Snom into his hands, nuzzling her affectionately. The Snom, in turn, nuzzled him back, letting out cheerful sounds.

That was when her body began to float and glow. The light would continue to shift in shape. "Watch your eyes.", he'd advise Elliot, before shielding his, before the big flash.

The Frosmoth that emerged from the light practically tackled Thomas into a pile of snow, snuggling up to him. Thomas would hug Chionne back. "I'm so proud of you, girl!", he told the newly evolved Frosmoth.

The fluffy Audino could feel the relief the ghostly Zoroark felt upon being treated with his Heal Pulse. Letting out an adorable, cheerful little cry, the Audino proceeded to hug the white-furred Zoroark some more, affectionately rubbing his cheek against the Zoroark.

The Eevee let out a happy, chipper cry, upon being helped up into the boy's lap. The little guy nudged his head gently into the boy's hand, as he petted him. It seemed the Eevee was eating up the affection offered, his tail wagging eagerly.

Thomas listened intently to what she had to say. So he wasn't the only one telling her these things. But at the end of the day, it was all the same. She wanted so badly to prove herself, but multiple people shot her down, including himself. The truth was, he wanted to protect her from the horrors the Region had to offer. Perhaps it was that image of innocence she projected that caused him to be so protective of her.

"Desiree, I-", Thomas paused. "I've been such a shitty friend. From day one, I've only been trying to protect you. I've seen so many horrifying things go down in this Region, alone. Nearly six years of senseless bloodshed. Six years of fending off an organization hellbent on world domination. Dealing with alien and 'divine' forces trying to end us. I hate watching it consume good, innocent people. But in trying to protect you, I've ended up sidelining you, treating you like a child.", he'd begin, lamenting the way he'd treated her.

"But if you want, I'll make it up to you. I can give you some training, to help you better handle yourself in this world, this Region. It's a long, hard road to go down, but if you really want to be able to prove yourself to the world, I'll gladly provide you with the skills you need.", he'd offer her.

An offer he should've made from day one. Just like he offered Vanilla Kingsley.

A particularly nasty snowstorm besieged Verdanturf Town. Residents were forced to shelter in place, before the storm let up, and roads were clear. Thomas had to see to it that his Pokemon made it to shelter safely, that his workers were brought home, before it got too bad. By the time it was all done, he and Desiree were the only two humans left on the grounds.

Despite being well into Desiree's daily training sessions, it was clear that the snow wasn't letting up anytime soon. Thomas felt bad for the fact that Desiree was stuck in Verdanturf, until things cleared up. The Kalosian felt obligated to find a way to make it up to Desiree.

"How you holding up, Desiree?", he'd ask the pink-haired idol.

notes: Mission - It's Sn'over

The masked vigilante watched as the Prince attempted to save his friend. Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, striking Remiel in the shoulder. The Wraith turned to face the man, who had brought out his Electrode.

It seemed that they were dead set on taking them out.

Freke gave the signal to the others. Converge onto their master, and get the hell out of there.

The masked man quickly recalled his Zoroark, Weavile, and Malamar. Before he could do much else, Remiel tackled him through the window. Thanks to his Avatar power, the group was able to escape to a different building, safely away from the explosion. Freke and Mordred, seeing this, quickly escaped the area as well. With the Alakazam's Teleport, and Mordred traveling through the Phantom Force, the duo made it out of the building, before it exploded.

As the masked man regained his bearings, he looked over to the prince. "Your shoulder!", the masked man exclaimed. Despite the creepy voice filter the helmet provided him, his concern was explicitly clear.

Thomas quickly fished for the medical supplies he kept on his person. Though more thorough treatment would be necessary, his objective was to stop the bleeding quickly.

After that, he was taking Remiel to get treated properly.

Thomas takes notice to his wound

Thomas found it strange, that someone had come to repay a debt to his family, by helping him. Despite having turned himself in, and gone back to working with the League, he hadn't started mending fences with his own family. He had to wonder if they sent her his way.

He could see how uncomfortable she was around him. She had attempted to avoid him as much as possible, and what interactions they did have, were brief and related to the business at hand. She was clearly guarded around him.

Was it related to the resignation livestream? Or did she somehow find out that he was the Wraith, who had terrorized the criminal underworld for a year and a half?

With encouragement from Bunni, Thomas decided to try to smooth things over. Thomas offered the woman a bottle of ice cold lemonade.

"Thought you could use something to drink.", he'd offer her. "If lemonade's not your thing, I got water."

The erractic movement of the tentacled beast allowed the Iron Valiant to easily maneuver himself around its tendrils. In an attempt to finish off the Tentacruel, the Iron Valiant slashed at the kraken with a point-blank Psycho Cut.

Before Thomas could attempt to confront the woman on the submersible, Thomas spotted the Sharpedo coming for him. He'd allow her to escape, for the sake of getting back on his mount, and resurfacing.

No use in drowning here, he figured.
