Distracted by the beauty of it all, its opponents Poison Fangs sank into its forearm just as quickly, making it roar out in pain.

Violently swinging its arm to get the Mightyena to let go, it resorted to an additional Night Slash to make it weaken its grip.

When Paxton's Mawile launched herelf at Zoroark for the final confrontation, ready to barrely him over with an Iron Head, the dark fox would not have any of it.

Dodging the incoming attack it aimed for Conibear's head and slammed its Night Slash down with full force. Enough force to keep her from rising up again. And when it became apparent she would not, the Zoroark grinned and rose to full length until the signal was given for its victory.

Hard-spent, they'd finally achieved their second win in this tournament. The redhead hugged her hulking partner with glee, finding herself nearly being picked up and thrown in the process before it released her again.

"That was an amazing match, Paxton! Maybe a rematch is in the cards somewhere in the future?"

It would not yield, even when the second volley was about to hit.

"Zoroark, I believe in you! One last time; NIGHT DAZE!"

Hearing its trainer's voice, Zoroark inhaled deeply and let every inch of its remaining power explode in the biggest display of Night Daze it had yet to give; the vibrations of the expanding dome of darkness rumbling through the entire stadium.

A devotion of both pokémon radiates through the arena, as does the baited breath of the excited crowd as the Zoroark goes in for another attack, trying to smack the Electro Ball aside with Night Slash.

But it puts too much power behind it; rather than to balance out and counter the attack, Zoroark's attack detonates it right in its face, and the ensuing damage it receives proves to be too much. With a loud thud it slams into the ground, skidding to a halt against the nearest wall.

The crowd roars as the victor's name is called across the speakers. Zoroark, albeit its valiant display, has found its match in Ollie's Pikachu, and lost.

Flung skyward, the illusionary fox was stuck in mid-air, awaiting its return to solid ground to properly move again. Something Raikiri did not seem keen on allowing; from within the rafters a most-familiar electric attack was building; one their current position wouldn't allow them to dodge.

So they wouldn't, and instead face it head-on like it had last time. Except this time around, Zoroark planned on surviving the ordeal. With a roaring warcry it Taunted the Zeraora into giving it its all. And then,if it would, it would put its all in a Night Daze meant to counter against the onslaught yet to come.

Why stop that which was clearly working in their favor? Night Slash seemed to be the key to getting through the Meowth's defenses, so that was what it would continue doing.

Even when a Shadow Claw slashed across its chest, it remained brazen and flung back its left arm, unleashing an uppercut-style Night Slash at the Meowth's face.

It seems to work rather well, and much to her surprise the Zoroark seems to experience a second wind, continuing its onslaught of Night Slashes.

The Meowth's nimble footwork seems to be the reason not all of them are hitting the way it wants, but it's chipping away at the feline's power bit by bit.
