The woman's stopped her screaming, anyway. Everything else happening... the strange pokemon, the chains, the aliens... that little victory, she'll take it. It's the small things.[break][break] She wipes her bloody knuckles on her shirt. Kneels down next to her quiet cellmate, watching the elevator descend from the top of the panopticon. Megalopolans unload boxes, subjugated to what looks like the queen bee. Some bird. She watches carefully, bated breath as the Megalopolan approaches. [break][break] "Food, huh? Not gonna poison us, are you?"[break][break] She stares at the plate of mochi. Somehow, she doesn't think the Megalopolan appreciates the joke.[break][break] A scream, as the defiant prisoner is cut down by the bird's feathers, and she grabs a single mochi without hesitation and plops it in her mouth. Eye contact with the alien the entire way, til it slides down the back of her gullet.[break][break] Survive, at all costs. She learned that lesson young, part of Rocket's reserve back in Kanto. It took five years waiting for an escape then. Another five years here... well, if she wanted out, guess she could refuse the mochi. [break][break] A desperate look around as the Megalopolan doesn't back away, and she finally looks down at her feet.[break][break] The woman she knocked clear out.[break][break] "Oh... right. Shit."[break][break] She grabs more mochi, picking the woman off the ground and slapping her over and over again, shoving the mochi into her mouth violently without waiting for her to wake. [break][break] "Hey. Hey. Hey! Wake up! You need to eat! C'mon! Wake UP!"[break][break] Her fingers slide to the woman's throat, massaging her neck to get her to swallow. Only then does the Megalopolan seem satisfied. [break][break] She picks herself up off the floor, wiping her hand off on the woman's shirt and listening intently for any hint of an escape plan. [break][break] A reward... a chamber of desires... a place where she might get her things, perhaps?[break][break] If she could just get at Manjushage's ball, the nihilego's toxins would flush the rest of this poison away... [break][break] The chain drags her nearer the bars, and she speaks to her cellmate. Not that she'd hear her, knocked clean out, but it's better than speaking to herself. She's not about to go crazy in a place like this. She's not gonna end up like this woman, some scared, cornered animal.[break][break] "Listen. We meet the quota, then... well, you'll see. I gotta surprise. Just wake up and exceed the quota, you... dumb, crazy bitch. Even if you're annoying as hell, as long as we get to that chamber... I'll give you whatever you want. My treat. One arm is better than none, so just... wake the fuck up, please."[break][break] She polishes shards like her life depends on it, til her elbows hurt, til she's out of breath, til she feels like she's gonna break down.
