Lucas' scout, Sherlock the wooloo, baas for his attention. "What is it boy?" He approaches wooloo to find it nudging a rose bush. Leaning down Lucas looks closely between the leaves and finds a piece of wool soaked with appletun's brown sugar saliva.[break][break]

"They have to be in this direction. Sherlock found some wooloo wool in a bush." Lucas looks around and spots another piece of wool up ahead on the ground. "And over there there's another piece. This has to be the right direction." Standing up the scientist follows the wool path into the beginnings of an apple tree orchard. [break][break]

They were in enemy territory now. Any of the apples could be spies lying in wait.

"You can definitely be good without them, yes. But I think they're good way to gauge someone's battle prowess. Think about it. Between someone that hasn't earned any badges and someone that's earned eight who do you think would be easier to beat?"[break][break]

Lucas Lane returns his vikavolt and begins to walk back the way he'd entered the forest. "So we're one on one then, right?" As the words come out of his mouth another base ball comes flying through the air. It disappears into a nearby tree's branches. Branches rustle and a bird's cry rang out through the air. Moments later the baseball and a battered fletchling fall out of the tree. [break][break]

"Oh god you poor thing. I'll get you fixed up." Gently he taps a pokeball against the bloodied pokemon.

"Slow down a bit there's some pokemon up ahead" Lucas says as the pokemon come into view. "Come on, slow down already." He could have sworn Cadis began to push him faster. "Stop, just stop!" Lucas words are said in vain as he collides into the two pokemon, which sends him sprawling out of the chair. [break][break]

"God stop means stop!" Lucas pushes his upper half up. "Look at what you've done." Reaching into his pocket with a scuffed hand he takes out a pokeball that releases ditto. It immediately becomes a doppelganger of Cadis von Klaussner in every way but his face. It reaches out a hand to the scientist and proceeds to help him back into his chair. Something it'd become very accustom to since machoke's vacation began.[break][break]

"Let's just bring them back to a pokemon center. Don't know how hurt they are." Lucas tries to excuse himself from spending anymore time with the gym trainer. He taps the unconscious kecleon with a pokeball while ditto takes the reins of the wheelchair.

"Should we really be catching pokemon right now? I just think my wheelchair is gonna slow me down if we have to run from something." Lucas Lane felt like he was being taken advantage of while being in his wheelchair. Like people were taking him places he didn't want to go since he couldn't walk away from them.

Lucas Lane takes a seat on the cushioned chair. Although he was late for the initial round of speed dating the scientist was still luckily enough to wedge his way into the second. With Amaura on his lap he looks around the room, heart pounding. His date wasn't here yet and he was beginning to worry he'd been stood up before he even got a chance at the dating game.

"Yeah, well" he considers the question, recalling countless missed meals at that moment. "Yeah I've been eating fine." Late night shifts left the scientist so exhausted he fell asleep the moment he arrived at home. Food was hardly the main thought on his mind most nights.[break][break]

"Oh god. Get it off, get it off!" Lucas Lane yells as the snake pokemon wraps itself around his left leg. Its mouth was open wide, ready to take a chunk out of him before it'd disappear in a burst of red light.

"It's a vikavolt. Usually they're blue, but this ones white from being a shiny." Lucas walks over to and picks up the ball containing shiftry.[break][break]

"Oh. Well uh we could, though I'm not that good. Can't even earn a single badge yet." As he talks vikavolt continues his relentless attacks on the local pokemon. Doing aerial acrobatics it torments a breloom relentlessly. Punches are thrown from the fungal fighter but each misses their mark. Its arms were too small to reach its assailant.[break][break]

"I could do a one on one vs one battle if you want though. We could use the battle area by the baseball diamond."

"What? No I'm not here with anybody." The joke goes completely over the scientist's head. "Just here for a bit of training." Lucas pulls out a pokeball and releases shiny vikavolt. "Been a bit more of a nature walk so far though. A bit unfortunate but hey at least the weathers nice."[break][break]

While Lucas rambles on unaware of his surroundings the vikavolt terrorizes a nearby shiftry. It flies back and forth bug buzzing the wicked pokemon. Vikavolt manages to pull at its hair and rip its leafy appendages while the shiftry struggles to make sense of its situation. [break][break]

"Guess this changes that a bit though" he says as he notices the shiftry. With an underhand throw he attempts a capture.

"Got it under control," Lucas repeats as he jots the phrase down. [break][break]

"Is that so? I'm sure you have a lot of badges then." He talks with his head down towards the clipboard. "A limiter helmet for what exactly? Just strength or?" Lucas jots down a question mark and circles it. "Oh and before I forget, did he leave you anything medicine wise for taking care of Frankie?"

"Yeah that's fine with me. Just give me a moment for selecting my team." Placing his identification down on the counter Lucas reaches into his pocket for his phone. He navigates to an app on his phone and selects three pokemon with saved move sets. The app loads for a split second before displaying a QR code and four digit number.[break][break]

"Here's my team code." Lucas holds out his phone for the woman.
