Hoenn was a lot more chaotic than Zachary thought, especially with the wormholes and stuff. Still, no where was 'really' safe nowadays. It came to how smart you were, but most cities were safe. At least, so Zachary hoped. He only hoped his parents adjusted well if they did come here. They soon reached the place where they had last been and teleported away. Luckily nothing was unchanged. [break][break] At the question of his family, Zachary looked to Arron. "Me? No, I'm an only child. " Zachary explained, as they walked along the obscured 'path'. Zachary looked back to Dizzy, who followed them loyally. "The closest thing to a brother, I guess though... is Dizzy. We been together for years now. My parents didn't want me being a trainer when I was younger. " he explained. [break][break] "As you may know, you can become a trainer no earlier than 10 years old, but my parents insisted I stay in school. To their credit-- they were right despite how badly I wanted to be a trainer. They were right in that it gave me more time to think about WHAT I REALLY WANTED to do." he told his story, "But while they did have me stay, they did let me pick my partner Pokemon. It was Dizzy. Even though I couldn't travel, I raised him and took care of him from home while I attended school. We been through a lot just as much." As they talked, Dizzy smiled, reminded by the nice times when he was a little Finniken and how he and Zachary grew up. [break][break] "That was about... 7 years ago now I think," he said. [break][break] As they talked, Zachary's Hoothoot--Nyx-- fluttered in the air, keeping an eye out for any danger from a few feet above. The little owl was adorable how she kept an eye out for them. [break][break]

Prompted to go-- Zachary with Raichu approached the racing course. "Dizzy, you and the others make yourselves comfortable at the bleachers, okay? Try to have some fun. Maybe cheer us on?" Zachary asked his Delphox as his other Pokemon were out now. The roudy series of calls came from his Pokemon as they soon separated, led by Dizzy to the stands. [break][break] Raichu stayed by Zachary side as they soon left for the race course. As they arrived, Josh was there-- along with other members of his gym. Zachary greeded them modestly, seeing them on all kinds of Pokemon. "HI there. Nice to meet you all," he said with a smile. Each one was mounted upon a jolteon, a purugly, a houndour, and Josh's choice-- a Raichu of his own. His was the more generic version, making this even more interesting. As Josh and Zachary talked-- both Raichu 'glared daggers' at one another. Josh's Raichu, Toralf clearly was antagonizing the tail-surfing one. Hermes didn't like that as he got close on his tail up close. THe two's nose almost touched as sparkes fired off both their cheeks, both boasting they were the fastest![break][break] Zachary rolled his eyes and approached Hermes. "Hey, sparky. Maybe save the energy for the race, buddy? he suggested. Hearing his trainer's advise, Hermes backed away grudgingly, intending to leave Josh's Raichu in the dust! [break][break]

[break][break] As they prepared for the race... Dizzy and Zachary's other pokemon were in the front rows of the stands, reserved for the competitors friends and pokemon. Many people were there, which was a surprise, and an oddity for some as they people saw Zachary's pokemon acting so casually among people like they were human. Dizzy sat down ona chair-- followed by Zachary's Kadabra, Mime Jr, Xatu, and Sprigatito. The Sprigatito hung on the railing, eager to see the race. [break][break] As they made themselves comfortable to cheer their trainer and Hermes on-- Dizzy noticed something. Kadabra held a sealed bag-- looking like a microwave popcorn package. After the fox gave a bark of question, Tarot began to focus on the bag, his eyes aglow. Slowly, the bag began to inflate. Its alpha waves & psychic power was making it heat up and pop quickly. Like a microwave, the bag swelled up and got bigger and bigger. Happy and Sprigatito watched as the bag grew and-- [break][break] BANG!![break][break] THe bag exploded with a shower of white and yellow popcorn over them. Dizzy grew a look of still annoyance as the poor fox had popcorn and butter over his fur. Tarot showed little care as he looked to Dizzy, and offered him some of the popcorn from his bag, to which was answered by silence. Happy, however was gleeful as he took a kernal of popcorn in his little hands and popped it into his mouth! Morgana had jumped at the violent pop, its grassy fur on end at the Kadabra, all while Prophet the Xatu just stood there motionless-- even as some popcorn rested on its plumage. ALl the Pokemon were excited and eager to see how the race panned out! [break][break]

[break][break] As the rules of the race ended, Zachary looked to Raichu. Before the start of the official challenge, he had went over Raichu's abilities and moves he knew. He had learned most first hand after their run-in on the ocean route. But he learned a few more things and wanted to talk to Raichu before the race began. As Josh explained the rules, Raichu grew more and more excited-- like the badge was more for him than Zachary. It made Zachary smile, to see Hermes so happy, as oppose to causing tidal waves to ride on that caused problems for other pokemon. [break][break] Zachary nodded in understanding, getting a good idea what to expect from the challenge. "I understand. Um, before we begin, may I just talk to Hermes a second?" Zachary asked. [break][break] Gesturing Raichu to follow him, Zachary walked aside and knelt down as Hermes floated before the boy. "Raichu before we start, I have an idea I want to run by you. If I understand correctly, you know "electric terrain" right? " he asked. [break][break] "Rai...?" Hermes said with a nod, but his tone curious. [break][break] Zachary smiled, having an idea. "Normally, that wouldn't do us any good in a race-- but I have an idea," Zachary said as he leaned in close so the others couldn't hear. As Zachary raised a hand to whisper, the Alolan Raichu leaned in with his fluffy ear to hear Zachary's words. His trainer whispered a very clever strategy related to that move. After a few moments, Raichu's face lit up! He was loving the idea the creative blue-haired trainer had. Soon enough, Raichu entered a 'chuckle' and mischevious look that one would think he had used Nasty Plot. "Rai! Rai-rai-Raichuu!" Hermes cheered, rocking on his floating tail with glee. [break][break] Zachary rose up, pleased. "I'm glad you approve. When the time comes, let's give it a try okay?" Zachary said as he turned back to Josh and his awaiting team of racers. "Okay! I'm ready to go!" [break][break] Rejoining Hermes on his tail with a simple step up and a hand on the Raichu's back, the two soon floated up to the starting line! With Josh's enthusiasm to enter a real race. It was then he saw Josh's expression change-- a more serious and focused one. This was it! The true mindset of Josh as a Gym Leader. Zachary looked to Josh, seeing how serious he was and intended to win. While Zachary's expression was softer, he narrowed his gaze at Josh. "Well, Hermes I think wants this even more than me-- so you can be damn sure I'm aiming to win! So let's do this!" Zachary said with determination. [break][break] "RAII!!" Hermes replied too, sparking the energy as he lined up beside Josh's Raichu. The two Raichu exchanged challenging glares, already non-verbally talking smack at one another. The sheer sparks from their cheeks gave signs of that. [break][break] Zachary stared forward at the starting line, seeing the board and the racing lights-- ready to take off. Unlike Josh, Zachary had never done anything like this. A race was one thing, but with a Pokemon-- Zachary was both nervous and excited by this. He hoped that Hermes would listen to him, and follow his lead in direction and guidance. While it seemed Hermes liked the idea Zachary cooked up, Raichu was a wily and rowdy Pokemon, and was a menace before he was caught. [break][break] From the sidelines, they heard the sounds of cheers-- Dizzy and the others waving and giving their support. Zachary glanced at them seeing Dizzy waving a flaming stick to cheer them on. A smile showed on Zachary's face and his confidence rose. He looked to the starting line, ready to go. "Let's show them just how much of a wicked racer you are, Hermes!" Zachary encouraged, rubbing the Raichu's fuzzy back. [break][break]

Zachary had tried to reach out to his friends and get their attention and luckily-- everyone knew the right way to go. The lift to get down. Zachary rested as the lift began to descend. His eyes saw the upper area above them as they descended from level to level-- and saw a sickening red-shade of stars above his head. It gave him the chillds. It was enough reason for him to stay away. [break][break] Whatever this power was-- it was allowing Zachary to see something others couldn't. Or perhaps what some could if they had the same powers, as all kinds of craziness was happening from their chains. Somehow the chains were helping them-- but that didn't last long. [break][break] Zachary felt a sudden pain in his stomach and almost keeled over with a cry of pain. The damn Moochi! Or worse, as he felt the poison finally start to affect his body and mind. He could see things now better than others, but the pain was now starting to impact him, and worse from his wounds earlier. It was a miracle he was still able to move, and the pain just wanted him to lie down. Best he could do was hold on to Alexei Ivanov for the moment as they descended. [break][break]

[break][break] They soon reached the Feeding Pit and Zachary had the bad memory of the violent Pokemon almost breaking his ribs and leg. He felt scared being in there, but things were going differently now as everyone fought back! His allies, his friends, who could actually fight, were doing their best to not just defend themselves-- but free the trapped Pokemon. IN his mind, that was the right idea. But there was nothing he could do. Personally anyway. [break][break] Between the poison and his own weakness, he was useless in this situation, so he used what he could. His eyes. Perhaps it was the Tera Crystals around, but he saw the shimmer of red surrounding Ogre Pokemon and Ultra Beasts , indicating clear and present danger. His head was feeling messed up, him just trying to keep his focus together. The poison was finally catching up to him! However, as he looked around-- he knew he had to get somewhere safe, and perhaps find what they were looking for. Down was the only way to go. [break][break] That was when he saw it! The shimmer of violet in his eyes that indicate the path he had to follow. Coincidence enough, people like jack wainwright , Cassandra Kubrick , and Eris Halla too caught on to the feel of it. He didn't know why but they were on the right track-- as it led to the fugly flesh pipe that led down. [break][break] Zachary approached the pipe, but hesitated at the fleshy, living thing looked like an intestine. He hesitated, scared at the idea of him being digested by SOMETHING below. [break][break] However, his eyes told him that was the best path to go, and the way the poison ravaged his body, he didn't feel he had the room to complain and argue, or else he feared to throw up. [break][break] "Oh, this is gonna suck..." Zachary groamed. [break][break] Working his last strength, he cried out as he dove head first into the fleshy tunnel to get out. It was like a slimy slide that he rode through with the others, till he would soon reach the bottom wherever it was... and crash to the floor there. If Alexei Ivanov choose to go with them perhaps he could help, but other than that Zachary followed his instinct, his eyes and the others who had the same six sense as he did. [break][break] The hole in the flesh tube sent him through as he skidded to a stop. As he laid there, he began to take in the new surroundings, along with the others with him-- in hopes to find a clue to their survival and freedom. And of course, to rescue their dear friends! [break][break][break][break]

Kinesis seemed to take a lasting toll on Beedrill-- much to Zachary's relief. Beyond being their immediate enemy, Zachary was nervous around such insects. But Kadabra's power was nothing to take lightly. Zachary had been worried cause bug attacks were strong against psychics. But Tarot just blew it away. [break][break] Josh certainly didn't hesitate to give Zachary advice-- and commented how strong the Kadabra was, and all after it evolved. It was like a floodgate erupted the moment Tarot evolved. Still, it was way too opinionated and acted on its own. Josh may or may not seen how frustrated and ashamed Zachary was that Tarot wouldn't listen to him. He tried not to be too defensive and listen to the Gym Leader's advice. "Find something we both have in common..." Of course the part about working together was obvious to Zachary. He had worked hard with all his other pokemon-- including Dizzy and though they been partners for years now, they were friends thick and thin. [break][break] With the battlefield clear, Zachary entered the arena where Kadabra was standing. The seemingly stoic Pokemon was unmoving till he saw Zachary approach beside him and he stared up to him. "Tarot, please... I know you liked to pull pranks on me and cause mischief, but this is not good." Zachary said, trying to communicate as best he could to his Kadabra. "You're an amazing Pokemon, and I knew that even when you were an Abra. But if we can't listen to one another, then we are gonna suffer for it. Can we please try to get along? You know I wouldn't have worked so hard to catch you if I didn't want you around right?" Zachary said, showing a moment of sincerity. "And battles like this should mean a lot to us both. So do you think you can try and listen to me a little more?" [break][break] Kadabra just perma-stared at Zachary, as if he was looking right through him. While it seemed he was listening-- it was unclear what he was thinking, partly due to his high intelligence. Finally, after a pause, he raised up his free claw and beckoned a finger towards him. [break][break] Zachary blinked, curious what his Kadabra wanted. "What is it, Tarot? Is there something important you want to tell me?" [break][break] Still wordless, Kadabra beckoned the finger to get Zachary closer. The trainer leaned in closer till he was up in front of Kadabra, face to face. "Yep, buddy. I'm listening," Zachary said with anticipation. The kadabra paused for a moment and... [break][break][break][break]...WAAACK!![break][break] Just when the moment looked promising, Zachary was met with the blunt impact of Kadabra's spoon! Dizzy, back at the end of the arena, was agap with alarm and anger to see the Kadabra just right-up strike his trainer with the utensil. "Oow!" Zachary cried, rubbing his head from the minor slap. While not exceptionally painful, it still rattled Zachary. [break][break] With Zachary getting 'sucker punched' Tarot watched his reaction-- and his face showing a sign of GLEE as his eyes were closed, his musctash hiding the shadows of a smile. "Ku-ku-ku-ku-kud!" it purred-- being the closest thing to what a Kadabra could do to laugh! . [break][break] Recovering from the smack, Zachary rose up, his expression showing pure frustration. "Taaarrroooot... That's it!" he growled, and ran to grab the Kadabra. [break][break] Zachary tried to grab hold of him-- but naturally seeing it coming, Tarot blinked and vanished the moment before he could grab him. [break][break] The Kadabra reappeared behind Zachary, still laughing in entertainment. [break][break] For a few moments, it was a game of 'cat and mouse' as Zachary tried to catch Kadabra, only for the psychic Pokemon to teleport behind him, again and again. Even more so, Tarot was enjoying himself to play 'teleport tag' with his silly trainer. [break][break] One could only wonder what Josh would think about this 'slapstick' behavior. Zachary was not an incompetent trainer-- and yet his Kadabra was the most unruly, rebellious, and wily pokemon yet seen. [break][break] Finally tired of chasing after his Kadabra, Zachary sighed exhausted. "Now I know why you cause people headaches-- YOU JUST DRIVE THEM CRAZY!" Zachary shouted at his Kadabra, which still laughed at him. [break][break]

Another attack came from Beedrill-- Drill Run of all things as the Bee and its stinger entered a twister , and dove to strike Kadabra. Zachary grimaced at the incoming bug attack, hating it for both Tarot not obeying him, and worse for an incoming bug attack! "Tarot, come on! Confusion-- hurry!" Zachary tried again! [break][break] However, Tarot had other plans. [break][break] The sharp-eyed Kadabra soon raised its spoon. Though it was disobedient-- it still had every intention to fight, otherwise it had not emerged to the arena. With the Beedrill in its sights-- Kadabra focused. His psychic aura glowed around him as he raised his spoon in hand. "Dabra..." he hissed, and the aura cloaked spoon soon bent left.[break][break] In that instance, the same aura took hold of Beedril. With the direction of the spoon-- the Beedrill's Drill Run veered violently to the left as well, missing Kadabra and aimed to potentially crash into the ground. [break][break] Disbelief came to Zachary not just cause it once again disobeyed his orders-- but this time it used a move that Zachary didn't even know it could do. KINESIS. A move that manipulated enemy attacks to evade harm. [break][break] IN the heat of the battle-- Josh soon raised the question that made Zachary embarrassed. How long had he had Tarot for? "Um... about a month?" Zachary replied, sheepishly. "I been trying to get him to listen but he is difficult... and stubborn!" Zachary added with a harsh tone to the Kadabra. [break][break] Tarot just gave a breath, not looking back to Zachary just yet as it shook its head, its whiskers shaking with him. [break][break]With a brief opening, Zachary strove to TRY and get Kadabra to listen to him. "Tarot, I know you want to battle and I know you want to show what you can do. So please, just listen to me and attack!" Zachary pleaded, and tried one more time! "Use, CONFUSION!" [break][break] What happened next was predictable, but surprising. [break][break] Naturally, Kadabra didn't follow his trainer's command but his eyes glowed as it did choose to attack the Beedrill. It glowed with a strong aura-- and this time, surrounding Beedrill as it recovered from its fail dive. It was lifted off the ground, as if suspended in mid air,its wings stopped. Confusion only manipulated minor areas-- but this was stronger! This was PSYCHIC!. [break][break] "Kada--BRA!" Tarot pointed his free hand back towards Josh's side of the field-- and the Beedrill was sent violently flying in that direction! The shock alone would do some damage, but if it did enough, depended on the Beedrill. [break][break] Zachary blinked, baffled. "W-wait a minute? When did it know that?! No way Abra could of been this strong when we caught him, could he?" Zachary looked to Dizzy, baffled. [break][break] Dizzy shrugged, unaware just how much power the psychic pokemon had when they first met. They had presumed he was young as an Abra-- but perhaps he had a 'growth-spurt' of power that gave him more abilities than they knew! [break][break]

Zachary knew he was still scared of bugs, but as Swadloon just nuzzled against him, he felt more at ease. Perhaps it was the veil of leaves between them, but more so, its kinder nature. "It's not that... It's just.... It wanted to be with me. It wanted to help me, just like Rabsca. They wanted to be with a trainer and opened up to me. It's why I want to get over my fear," Zachary said as he gave Swadloon a pat on the head. "They want to be with me, so how can I be afraid of them? They deserve the best I can give them. I... have to be better,Zachary said, clearly a touch emotional. [break][break] As the talked, a presence was above-- slowly but surely a red figure was crawling down from the trees-- drawn to Zachary too as he talked. It overheard his conversation and was curious. "Rabsca is a psychic type, so there is that. And Swadloon is a caring Pokemon by nature so it just worked out. But if you approach me with something capable of hurting or attacking, I don't really answer well..." Zachary soon felt the chill above him. [break][break] Slowly he looked up, to see the unblinking eyes of the Scizzor above him. [break][break] Dizzy sighed, and soon raised his paws to cover his big ears. [break][break] "GHAAAAAAAA!!" Zachary's scream echoed as he rolled and scampered away, startled by the massive bug who had approached. Scizor was, however, not rattled by the shout, being seemingly extremly strong and confident. Zachary looked at it as it crawled on the tree-- and soon rose up and took flight in the air with its wings. [break][break] Zachary, curious all the same, took out his pokedex to analyze it. [break][break] [break][break] Scizor soon landed upon the grass, and glared at Zachary with a steely, and yet patient stare. "Sizzzz..." it hissed in a bug-like manner, pointing to Zachary. [break][break] Zachary was normally good understanding wild Pokemon, but this one was unnerving him, unable to understand what it wanted. [break][break] It would stare, then flex its pincers, eager for battle. [break][break] Shalin, more in touch with pokemon of this type, could tell that the Scisor wanted to battle Zachary. However, it waited. It wasn't some wild pokemon eager to take a bite out of him-- there was something, respectiable-- honorable about it. It was waiting patiently for Zachary, perhaps overhearing its earnest desire to conqouer his fears. [break][break]

The man's sudden and excited expression broke Zachary's focus. "Gahh!" Startled, Zachary accidentally sent his cards flying in the air, almost causing a mess. [break][break] However, Dizzy who was more focused-- uses his own Psychic Powers for 'another trick'. In mid air-- the cards glowed and froze in the air, looking even more amazing. Without even flinching or any gesture, the fox commanded the cards mid-air to gather back as they soon gathered and formed a perfect deck in front of Zachary again. Grateful, Zachary picked up the cards, to which the aura stopped, as did Dizzy's Psychic power. [break][break] Dizzy gave a happy bark, having the cards nicely returned. [break][break] Zachary looked up to the rather large and cheerful man. "Um... Thank you? " Zachary said, though the magic trick crack sounded like a challenge. He firmed his gaze at the man as he pocketed away his cards into his jacket. "No. I'm here to battle. Just waiting for a challenger to be assigned to me," Zachary said. [break][break] His gaze soon came to the adorable little Pawmot besides him. An odd choice for the big fellow but he looked pretty fiesty. Dizzy too looked at the electric mouse, reminding him of Raichu that Zachary had recently caught with their adventure with Josh Devlin. [break][break] He didn't know how to really engage with the man. He was much older-- much taller and a touch intimidating the way he looked. "I take it your a challenger here too. I'm sort of new to the whole trainers battling but I know my stuff," Zachary said, knowing that he would be randomly assigned soon enough to another trainer looking to battle too. [break][break]

The peace of the day was suddenly broken right after Tarot struck him with the spoon. Zachary nearly jumped there as they all turned around, spying the young girl with her own pokemon. A large yellow one, an adorable togodile and a sunkern nestled in her arms. Zachary blinked at her, totally not expecting to be teleported right before another person. [break][break] "Oh-- Hi! Sorry about the fright. I like to teleport to get around, makes revisiting certain places much, much easier." Zachary explained to the stranger as he smiled sheepishly, embarrassed. Seeing that he just startled her in a place where plenty of ghost pokemon gathered... Zachary took a moment to think and then spoke. "Um, I'm Zachary. This is Dizzy, and Nyx," Zachary introduced to his Delphox and Hoothoot on his shoulder, who gave a bark or hoot and flap of her tiny wings to greet the woman and her pokemon. "I'm a psychic trainer and I was taking the short-cut to return to this area to go finding some new Pokemon and explore a bit more. Really sorry if I startled you. Tarot, my Kadabra, is a good teleporter but never expected to bump into someone like that." Zachary explained. [break][break] Dizzy sniffed the air near the giant yellow sheep pokemon, who loomed several heads above them. Nyx gave a friendly wave to the Sunkern-- though it was easy for the little owl to get hungry looking at a seed-- but was far better behaved. If allowed, the owl would gladly fly and land on the girl's shoulders, greeting her with a friendly nudge of her feathers. [break][break] The rumble of thunder was heard overhead, causing them to look up. The sky was terribly dark and overcast, even though it was the afternoon. Suspicion turned to fact as soon a drop of water fell from the dark sky-- splattering on poor Dizzy's foxy nose. The Delphox flinched and brushed his nose off, and soon saw the bits of water start to fall around them. [break][break] Zachary sighed and shrugged as he saw the rain start to fall. "Great... so much for an adventure out here..." Zachary sighed, as the rain began to slowly but steadily increase. Anxious to get out of the rain-- the Delphox decided to escape by scooting closer to Zachary and slipped under the tail of his jacket. Also wanting to avoid the rain, Nyx hooted as she flew into Zachary's chest and tries to get under his jacket too! "Guys! Hey! Quit it! There's not enough room for anyone under there!" Zachary argued, feeling as if he was being mugged as he felt them try to keep out of the rain. [break][break] While their plans for exploring was shot to hell-- the crack of lightning in the distance illuminated the area, and as thunder rumbled-- [break][break]-- they could see a house. [break][break] It was a rather big house, looking like some kind of mansion all the way in the neck of the woods. While worn down, it had a regal vibe and was a welcomed sight considering the sky now opened up to rain down dread on them. [break][break] Zachary looked to the girl, still not knowing her, but still figured she wouldn't want to get soaked too! [break][break] "Um any chance you want to take this over there-- before we are soaked? " Zachary asked, not exactly questioning the odd mansion that just HAPPENED to be there. [break][break] The irony of the situation was not lost on Zachary as he was sure that this was in a scary movie somewhere. [break][break] But this was reality... what kind of ghosts could possibly live there? Right? [break][break] Luckily the house had an awning made with pillars, giving them some cover as they just stood in the doorway area, keeping out of the reach of the rain. [break][break] Having struggled, Dizzy soon got out from Zachary's jacket as did Nyx, the little owl shaking her feathers to get what water off she could. [break][break] A sigh escaped Zachary as he rested against the back of the door. "Ugh... bad timing. I didn't even think any buildings were out here in the routes like this," Zachary said as he was just grateful to get out of the rain for the moment. [break][break] For now, he hoped to get to know who this young woman was and her pokemon too-- who were very interesting to see interact with him. [break][break]

"Josh, you okay?" Zachary asked as he got to him, but was happy to see that he had some healing done on him and now was on another pokemon. [break][break] He along with his own Milotic were now better, Aqua Ring having helped as she floated towards them. Realizing one more thing-- Zachary rushed to the ground where Sprigatito laid. He didn't seem hurt, but dizzy and dazed from the crash. [break][break] Zachary soon picked up Sprigatito and held it. "Morgana, you okay buddy?" Zachary asked with concern. Slowly the swirls in his eyes faded as the Sprigatito woke up, looking at Zachary. It let out a soft meow, indicating it was okay. [break][break] A smile showed on his face, realizing how amazing his new Sprigatito was. "Morgana, that was very, very brave of you. Thank you. Zachary said, showing his gratitude. "You sure your not a dani-lion?" he teased. [break][break] The Sprigatito gave a narrowed glance at Zachary, clearly not amused by the silly pun. Still, Zachary embraced his Sprigatito, hugging him and scratching his head. The look of embarrassment turned into a sweet purr, the cat's eyes closing with content. [break][break] He turned to Josh . "I agree, but there is something we need to do first," Zachary said, holding his new Raichu's pokeball. [break][break]

[break][break] Zachary soon snapped open the Pokeball and out came Raichu. Having been confined in the Pokeball, his energetic nature took a pause as he 'woke up', and looked around, blinking. He was soon greeted to a mass of the water pokemon, who now were making a loud racket at the sight of him. [break][break] Raichu gasped and jumped back, startled by their angry looks and shouts. He looked, soon seeing Zachary and his pokemon with him. "Raichu, do you see what you been doing? Your reckless racing may of been fun to you, but you hurt a bunch of Pokemon around. That's not okay. You really need to apologize to them. No matter what your trying to do, nothing is gained if you have to hurt people to do it." Zachary explained, followed by nods and agreements by his other Pokemon, including his now healed up Milotic. [break][break] Raichu looked between them and the others. A sheepish look of guilt crossed his face and soon he gave a sad sounding "Rai" and bowed his head at the other Pokemon. [break][break] While still a touch grouchy, some of them accepted the apology and began to swim away back to the ocean. Some still gave a voiced opitin but still left. [break][break] As it was all over, Zachary looked to Raichu. "I think I get what you were trying to do, Raichu, " Zachary said as he approached his new Pokemon standing there. No longer on his tail floating, it 'grounded' the pokemon's attention. "You wanted people to notice you. You're an amazing surfer and are very strong. You wanted people to notice you right? " Zachary asked. Raichu looked up at him, curious by his words. Slowly, Raichu nodded, agreeing more or less to what Zachary said. [break][break] "Well, causing tidal waves and zapping water pokemon isn't the way to do it. If you REALLY want, why not come with us? I mean... I'm a trainer and I am gonna compete in the Hoenn league. I you come with us, you got plenty of chances to battle, race and if you do a good job, you'll probably get some of that fame you want so much, " Zachary explained with an enthused tone. [break][break] Raichu's expression lit up with excitement. For a moment-- he began to think what could be gained with a good trainer, as his brain went into that 'thought-bubble' cloud.[break][break]

[break][break] Raichu soon was surrounded by a arena of cheering, adoring fans, lit up with neon lights as he stood with Zachary on a pedistal. Raichu was waving to his adoring fans, floating on his tail and his head adorn with a brilliant 'championship' crown.
THe smile on his face was big as it showed his excitement and joy to be admired. [break][break]

[break][break] Raichu looked up in his dreamy state, clearly fantasizing something the others couldn't see. Zachary remembered how is mother said how he often would dream in the clouds and it was clear when Zachary lost sense of his reality. "And here I thought I had an overactive imagination..." Zachary commented. Dizzy, soon gave a bark and an embarrassed look-- realizing that Zachary did in fact have a similar imagination. [break][break] Zachary broke Raichu's train of thought as he approached, grasping the mouse's attention. "So... what do you say? You wanna come with me and go on adventures with us? Despite the headache you gave me, you're an amazing Raichu and I'd love to have you with us." Zachary asked. [break][break] Raichu didn't wait as he soon gave a loud and roudy 'RAI!!'. It jumped, flipped in the air and landed on his tail, showing how he was raring to go with them! "Well, that's a refreshing change of attitude. Thank you, Raichu." Zachary said, surprised by how eager he was now. Raichu then floated towards Zachary, and gave the trainer a mouse's interpretation of a 'thumbs up'. [break][break] Morgana and Dizzy both had concerned looks, especially the grass cat after the trouble he had gone through. [break][break]

Their return through the waterfall and the portal was just like before, ending with the open sky below them like some kind of sub-terrainain world! THis time, Zachary was prepared as he once again released Sigilyph! The ball released the massive psychic bird-like construct as Zachary and Dizzy landed on it's back. Without a complaint, the ancient bird construct flew them along with Driftbloom to the ground where Arron led. [break][break] They were now in a small grove that Arron wanted to make their 'base camp'. As they touched down and Zachary jumped off the bird's back, he recalled it again, not wishing to let their location easily seen with the giant Sigilyph around. It was a decent place to set up as Dizzy and Hoothoot looked around. [break][break] As Aaron ordered his Drifbloom to guard the perimeter, Zachary shrugged. "Or you can have camflauge do the job by growing some more plants and greenery?" Zachary corrected, suggesting they could use some of their wits to use nature to their advantage. [break][break] He then took out another Pokeball taking out his newer pokemon, marked by a Pokeball labeled with "III" on it. [break][break] "Help out, Eden!" Zachary called and tossed the ball into the air. The ball opened with its light, and from it appeared a very large, and very elegant looking Leafeon. THe Leafeon gave a silent glance to Zachary, radiating serenity and peace in the presence of Zachary. It had come a long way when Zachary had found her. Zachary approached her, and she nodded her head as Zachary gave her a loving pat. "Eden, think you can use your powers to nurture some of the plants here/ Keep an eye on this area while we explore a bit and keep the Driftbloom company okay?" Zachary asked. [break][break] The Leafeon looked to Zachary, and in a regal 'sphynx' like perch, she sat down in the grove to keep guard. Already its natural energy was nurturing the air around the space. [break][break] Zachary soon turned to join Aaron as he scouted the place. [break][break] As they returned to that dangerous bridge, Zachary and Dizzy gingerly walking across it while Nyx perched still on Zachary's shoulder. Aaron broke up things by asking more about Zachary, which caught him off guard. "Really? I'm from Johto too! Violet City. Born and Raised. I had wanted to journey there, but my parents insisted I finish school first. After the incident with Rocket there, my parents decided to move and allowed me to go ahead to Hoenn, while they make their way here. They should be finding a place to live here in a month or so..." Zachary trailed, on, but he was a native Johtoian trainer. [break][break] "Hoenn is not bad. Though... I still wanna explore other places too eventually. Like Alola islands and Paldea." he mentioned with a hand behind his head, the Hoothoot giving a confident call as they talked. [break][break] They could freely converse, Zachary being far more open than Aaron more likely was. [break][break]

The vacation, beach paradise of Lilycove City! A beautiful sprawling area of fun, love, joy and excitement. Trainers, rangers, buisniess men and women and vacationers came here to enjoy summer fun. There were many places to enjoy and explore. One place in particular near the port area-- was the Lilycove Cascade Coleseium. A legal and upscale Pokemon battle arena for visiting trainers and people who wanted to train their pokemon. Some areas were gyms for practicing moves, or general training. While others were more open areas for full on battles for the public to enjoy. Many events were there. For Zachary, he went in with the interest to battle! After the battle with Aaron Toral , it made Zachary want to brush up more on his training in battles. At least before he took on more gym leaders, or fight Rocket again. The defeat at the hand of the Mysterious man in Area Zero, made him more determined to win in the future. So there he was, awaiting to meet his first challenger. He waited in the waiting hall, seeing the trainers with their variety of Pokemon, some loitering around, others preparing to be matched up with opponents like him. [break][break] Zachary waited in the air conditioned hall, with his Delphox, Dizzy, sitting beside him. The fox looked at the different trainers and their pokemon. While Zachary waited, he soon took out his Tarot cards, flipping through them. He wondered if he could divine whom he would be battling. He flipped through the cards-- till he soon found one that caught his eyes among the minor suites. [break][break][break][break] The Emperor , a symbol of masculinity, rule, authority and power. He looked at the card, wondering its meaning in the face of what was to happen. A part of him wished he had more pokemon-- more diversity for his teams, but he had collected quite a few now. Thirty-five now. Many different types, including Psychic , his favorite. [break][break] He knew that it wasn't about what pokemon he collected, but how he raised them. Still he had plenty he wanted to find and have as partners. [break][break] However, he felt a fuzzy nudge. He looked, seeing the Delphox next to him give a reassuring bark. Using his own psychic powers, he pulled a card of his own. He made it fly up. [break][break][break][break] Dizzy bumped his head next to Zachary's shoulder affectionately, telling his trainer he was there and giving him support-- using the card to address himself. [break][break] Zachary smiled, and reached up to scratch Dizzy between the ears. "Silly fox. I know you got my back." Zachary said, comforting the fox. "Still, we been together for years. You are very strong. I also have to raise our other friends too. But if the time comes that you can shine, you bet I'll call on you." he said to his partner. [break][break] Dizzy gave a happy bark of agreement. "Br-bruk!" [break][break]
