The fungi that grew within the murky depths of Meteor Falls were oft referred to as 'dragon leaves' for the scaly complexion on their caps and the bright colors they shone. Some even went as far to claim these were the remnants of dragon tears. Others called them 'dragon leaves' and told fanciful tales of Dragonite's that once held teatime at the center of the mysterious cave.[break][break]

Remiel, in the meantime, was simply surprised to find that these fungi had not been catalogued or researched in any text or research paper he could find. Botany, especially fungi, were outside of his field of expertise, of course. But he knew just the person he could bring a sample to.[break]

The ridiculous dancing buffoon that guarded the cluster of mushrooms would not impede their way for much longer. Sending Earl Grey forward with a point, the loyal little butler pokémon didn't hesitate to assault the Ludicolo with PHANTOM FORCE, pushing it back against the cave wall but prompting it to strike back with an ASTONISH. Caught unaware by the attack, the teacup spun in the air and struggled to balance itself once more.[break][break]

When it came to, however... the Ludicolo was gone. What a coward.[break]

It took some effort, and a lot of climbing. But, eventually, the explorer prince came upon them: seemingly scaled mushrooms with an electric blue aura. After crouching down and reaching into his pack for his kit, he carefully cut one out from the ground to analyze it. The 'scales' resembled the thick petals of succulents when touched. He gently plucked one out, and immediately understood why they were dubbed 'dragon leaves'.[break][break]

And, if that wasn't enough, a Dragonair slithered out from a crack high up on the cave wall, lured by the aroma of the freshly cut mushroom. The dragon showed no fear as it approached Remiel, eyes locked onto the mushroom in his hands even as he stood up. With a slight smile, he held it forward and watched as it nibbled away, patting the side of its head with his free hand. Today had been a success.[break]
