Zac ducked for cover behind a crumbling stone wall, the warbling noise rising from the newest entrance of Meteor Falls. He beckoned Devin closer, and the cameraman scrambled into cover, lining up a good shot just in time to catch another stream of Baltoy spit out of the cave mouth and whir overhead, arcing into the nearby ruins and spinning off between the crumbling stone walls.

"Howzit goin' rippers!" Shouted Zac, struggling to be heard over the terrible noise. "No time for chinwaggin, as this morning we're right in the thick of it!" He ducked down as another volley of Baltoy whizzed by overhead. "Just last month Meteor Falls underwent some internal reconstruction and it's got these little fellas right riled up! It's a right strange sight to see so many of them all zippin about like this, and though I'm partial to your more organically constructed pokemon, there is an ancient mystique to these artificial pokemon. You see, a fair number of our poke-pals have been influenced, or outright formed through human activity!"

"I’m sure everyone at home knows about Mewtwo, the most famous of these, and some of you might even have a Porygon floating around your office.” Zac paused, beckoning Devin closer as more Baltoy shot overhead. “Whoa! Quick Dev, that’s a Claydol in there! What a beaut’!” The camera tracked the arcing flight of the spinning Claydol before turning back to Zac. “Baltoy and Claydol, like the ones that just passed by, were originally clay creations that are said to have been awakened by psychic powers, pretty similar to how modern day Bannett is formed from the pairing of a discarded doll and an angry spirit!”
“But those Baltoy are really old, aren’t they Zac?” Devin prompted.
“Right you are Dev. Some scientists have carbon dated them back up to 6,000 years! Can you believe it?”

“So why aren’t there more ancient pokemon around today?”
“There are! The Golurk and Yamask lines are both examples of pokemon families that have stood the test of time. Amazingly, Magnemite and Magneton, some of the pokemon that most consider to be recent creations, are often seen depicted in ancient carvings. The Ruins of Alph is a famous example, which shows those two steel survivors floating around right alongside our ancient ancestors.”
“That’s amazing Zac!” said Devin and, sensing the wrapup, he tracked the next flight of Baltoy over Zac’s head and into the ruins, settling on a wide, scenic shot of Baltoy spinning in and out of view between what little remained of the ancient village.
“Sure is! It’s important to remember that we share this world with pokemon, and by the look of things they’ll still be living and thriving here long after we’re gone.”
