the truth is, sitting down on one of the available stools while a gengar “baby” on its crib chews on the other is one of the mistakes valerio has yet to endure due to being broke. not that rocket executive is cheap job, but sometimes bureaucracy seeps into the gang from time to time and a man needs his quick source of cash. the only babysitting duty listed on his cv is how to trick a sobble to sleep, so, imagine his surprise when the couple wanted him to lull a gengar to sleep when he accepted the ad.[break][break]

that's not even listed in the memo![break][break]

he lets out some air and collects his calm. the only thing keeping his sanity is the promise of a company in case the ghost-type becomes rabid. he puffs a breath of disappointment--he has not even brought himself a pokemon.[break][break]

When Billi was offered a job to help babysit a tiny pokemon, he figured it would be an easy job. Because well they advertised it as it was a crybaby sobble, which were always so cute. So needless to say, as he entered the building and saw a red head sitting there, he was slightly shocked that this would require two people. “Oh hi” Billi chuckled only to see a….gengar dressed in baby clothes.[break][break]

“I didn’t think….it was a gengar...i’m just curious why they dress it up as a baby,” Billi chuckled harder, “and didn't return it to a pokeball.” he asked Val about it. Of course the two may know of each other's drag personas but other then that, they have not made any personal exchanges.

“beats me too,” valerio utters in plain frustration as he pockets out his box of cigarettes, extending towards the newcomer, offering a stick. while attempting to light his with only one hand, he watches the gengar stare at his babysitters, tongue intentionally sticking out to mock their current predicament.[break][break]

“unless you brought with you a pokemon that can sing, this will gonna be a long night.”[break][break]

from his crib, the ghost-type glares with mean look. at this point, valerio can attest gengars are reall smart for being nonverbally communicative. it doesn't want them to leave anytime soon.[break][break]

Well Billi stood there confused by the fact the Gengar wasn’t ready to go to sleep, nor did it care to sleep. Even more by the redhead offering him something to smoke, “No thanks,” the blonde wondered if they were even allowed to smoke in this strangers house? Would they be mad? Who knew to be honest. Then another thing dawned on him. “So….uhhh do ghost pokemon even sleep?” Billi had to ask the question as the Gengar gave a haunting laugh.

“Hey you should just sit in your crib and be a good Gengar,” Billi laughed, “I’ll give you...uhh...a cookie? If you go to sleep,” maybe tricking the Gengar would break its will.

the blond tries his best but unfortunately cookies are not stipulated in a gengar's diet. and so he finds himself under the ghost baby's shenanigans.[break][break]

“that's the thing about it,” he redhead breathes in disappointment from the stick of cigarette ushered by his right hand. from the other, his fingers fidget on the toy ball he picks up from its crib.[break][break]

“they may not sleep like how other pokemons do, but maybe we can tire it a bit?” his voice cracks a wicked smile in return to the unsuspecting gengar. “ready to play a game?”[break][break]

Billi looked over at the gengar who had no desire for a tasty treat, which was kind of sad, but Billi couldn’t find himself to give up. The redhead was very correct, in that perhaps they needed to just...wear down the pokemon and chill it out. “what game are you thinking of,” Billi asked the red head, as the Gengar floated up, staring at the stranger chuckling to itself.

“Are you thinking like catch or something,” Billi asks, the Gengar turning its head from one person to the next confused, but excited.

“tag! you're it!” the redhead immediately taps billi's shoulder before digging himself into the gengar's ghostly body. the gengar, now understanding what is being suggested, takes valerio with arms wide open and forces themselves out of the room.[break][break]

“this can actually be fun!” his glee reverberates through the walls, hinting where he and gengar could have been concealed by the phantom energy even when they are not visible.[break][break]
