"Thanks Zac. Now... heck's this?" Said Doug as he returned the fossil pokemon to its ball and handed it back to Zac, before squatting down to get a closer look at the shiny, orange rock that had fallen off the wall.

He poked it, and immediately yanked his finger away, waving his hand with a hiss. Needless to say, it was as hot as it looked. Doug reached into his jacket, producing a net ball.

"Go, Manda!" He said, throwing the ball. His Centiskorch came back to the field, landing near the rock. "Fetch that thing 'till it cools, kay?"

The Centipede pokemon nodded, curling part of its body around the strange rock.

With that out of the way, Doug's eyes moved away from the rock- to something much more eye catching.

"Zac. Zac. Look at that." He said as he grabbed onto the larger man's sleeve, pointing at something shiny encrusted on the wall. "Let's GO!"

He fetched yet another net ball as he said this, throwing out a Yanmega into the field.

"Gotta be real careful with this one, love! Meganula, use Ancient Power!"

The Yanmega's visor shone as it utilized primordial forces to coax the magma walls to collapse.

"Nah, but I smell treasure awright. We doing electricity then?" Said Doug as he returned his Yanmega before producing another Net ball, grinning. "Yer up, Goran!"

It released a Joltik,the little bug swinging across the air before noting the heated floor and sending a jet of webbing straight at its trainer's face, yanking itself towards it.

Doug hardly reacted.

"Can't see, love. But whatever- see the wall standing? Electro Web!" He said. Joltik scrambled over his head, moving to be atop his scalp before jumping up and shooting a large, electrified net at the wall, the crackling mass spreading all over it, lightning coursing through it.

The wall fell apart and their hard earned treasure came into sight. The youth couldn't help it, throwing back his head and releasing a yeehaw while waving around his hat.

"We've hit it big, boys!" He said with a cheer, hugging his Joltik with a wide grin.

It wasn't allowed to last long.

Doug stumbled as the entire chamber suddenly started to quake, before yelping and scrambling back as pillars of magma began to burst and break through the rocky surface, the youth moving to taller ground as the place began to flood with magma as a grand crack began to spread across the entire chamber.

"Are those...?" Said Doug lowly, before squinting. Those were no pokemon he was intimately aware of. They tickled at some memory in the back of his mind, but all he could wonder was...

Were these bugs? They were walking kind of like Spiders...

"Pokedex?" He said as if speaking to the tiny machine, producing it quickly and feeling his face blank as he information he had held at the tip of his tongue popped up.

Ah. Legendary.

"... AH SHIT!" Said Doug as he reached for one of his Flygon's Net ball. He quickly realized however, that fleeing was not be a choice here. Even if they all had the means available, the 4 Legendary Heatrans around them would make them pay hell for even attempting it.

Still, looking around wildly for a way out, his gaze eventually found itself on a singular pillar that stood all the way across the end of the room.

His panicked mind didn't quiet understand why it was attracted to it- until he realized that it, unlike everything else in the cave, had a manufactured quality to it.

"Go, Guirus!"

The youth leapt atop his Flygon as it appeared, letting it fly him as high as the chamber would allow, giving him a better view of the altar as the Heatrans encroached upon them.

It hadn't been his intention, but seeing the hole atop it confirmed it.

"... Oh, OH! Manda! Get the rock to that thing!" Said Doug, screaming down at his Centiskorch while pointing at the stone. The Centiskorch looked between his trainer, the altar, and the approaching Heatran's, before diving headfirst into the Lava, burning rock in tow.

"Zac, cover for me!" He said, flying off atop his Flygon- and immediately yelping as the flying Dragon dove off to one side, narrowly avoiding plumes of blaze as one of the legendary pokemon turned its attention to him.

"!!! Uh-!" He looked between it and the altar, before yelping again as his Flygon dove down once more- before narrow clip at its wings sent it- and Doug- sprawling back to the floors, the Flygon barely managing to glide down to a stony foothold.

"Guirus!" Said the youth, before turning his attention to the Heatran, adjusting his hat while huffing furiously. "This ain't a fight you should'a picked, bucko!"

He reached into his netball and threw it high in the air above the Heatran, the net ball quickly returning back to his palm.

"Baji!" He said as the Foretress arched high across the air, before gravity drove it to land atop the Heatran. "EXPLOSION!"

Needless to say, what came next was particularly violently deafening.

A booming shockwave filled the cave and took Doug off his feet, driving him and Guirus up against the altar, his back slamming against it and knocking the wind out of him.

As if on cue, Manda popped out of the lava with shortly after, a searing hot rock in his grasp as he approached Doug, who was on his hands and knees, rubbing his fists against his sore back as he pointed his net ball at the unconcious Baji in the distance, returning the foretress to his pokeball.

"Get it -crud!- to the Altar." Said Doug to the Centiskorch with a groan, prompting Manda to look between him and it, before nodding.

Crawling up the Altar quickly, the Pokemon tilted its head at the hole it found at the top, before shoving the rock inside.
