Mauville Hills was a perfectly fine place with a perfectly fine assortment of shops and buildings. It was neat and structured and looked to be in better shape than most of the region, despite the fact a war zone was here. That may have had a lot to do with the excess amount of rich people who lived here. Chu-e kind of hated it, but he had heard that a lot of normal types had been spotted here. Maybe this would be his week to find something cool.

Scratch that, this week was literally already the worst. As Chu-e had been peering over a hedge to see if any wayward pokemon were lurking behind, a fucking ghost type had snuck up behind him. It seemed friendly enough... but he still made a face and walked off. Ghost types were really just not his deal. He only barely tolerated the one he had. That was only because it was also a fairy and he at least understood their weirdness. Moving away from the overly friendly ghost type, Chu-e went to look elsewhere for pokemon.

The day was looking up but still not great. Chu-e frowned at the Rufflet in the tree. It was cute... and he knew it was even normal type... but he really wasn't as into birds as he was normal types that were land-bound. Or at least were super cute. Plus, he was kind of worried that if he caught it, that one of his cats would try and eat it. He had a hard enough time keeping them away from Breezy. So, shrugging it off, Chu-e decided to move onwards in his weekly search.

As Chu-e was about to give up, he had one more bit of hope... only for it to be crushed when another ghost type appeared. What rotten luck. Chu-e decided the best course of action was to go ahead and leave for the day, since it seemed like he wouldn't be finding anything worthwhile. Man, Mauville Hills was a super bust. He wondered if he even ever wanted to come here again.
