Remiel's investigation into the strange cries coming from Route 114 at night had ended rather uneventfully the previous night. He'd been tormented by a Murkrow that he'd managed to incapacitate and catch. Unfortunately, after he had done so, he had run out of supplies and been forced to head back into town.[break][break]

This night, however, would hopefully end differently. After suiting up again and making sure he carried enough rations and gear, the black-haired royal set off to continue his investigation of these strange rumors. Whether it was a natural phenomena or otherwise, he was determined to get to the bottom of things.[break]

A Donphan rooted around in the ground, surely looking for truffles or another snack of some sort. Remiel did his best to tread carefully and avoid being detected but, unfortunately, the sole boot set itself upon extra crunchy leaves that blanketed the woodland ground.[break][break]

With aggressive surprise, the Donphan immediately turned itself towards the human and bellowed, stomping on the ground once, then twice... before raising its trunk and charging forward with a FURY ATTACK. If it wasn't for Earl Grey, who swiftly swooped Remiel out of harm's way with his PHANTOM FORCE, the young royal might have very well been trampled that night.[break]

A foul sludge emerged out from blackened soil near a sewer's exit. When it spawned a pair of eyes and dripping arms, Remiel took a step back when he realized it had noticed him. And, with a woeful moan, it proceeded to approach him.[break][break]

It didn't make it far past Earl Grey's barrage of SHADOW BALL. Once it was reduced to a messy puddle, the ambassador pulled an empty ball out of his pack and tossed it. Grimer and Muk always made for interesting test subjects. Perhaps one of the scientists at Rocket HQ could make use of it.[break]
