As his eyes return to the pinkette, he will see her arms crossed, looking back at him grinning with a successful capture of the raticate.

“Back in Alola, there used be an abundance of raticates in our private island that the caretaker literally has to introduce new species to dwindle its numbers. Too bad they're really strong.”

Selena laughs at the distant memory, then grimaces at the fact that it is actually a summer that she wants to forget. Thankfully, her attention is easily drawn by the lost wooloo in the tall grass.

The delphox's light captivates the creature. Circe doesn't even need to make an effort to draw the sheep into them, and the moment it goes near Selena, she nudges its cottony wool with a spare pokeball.

“Now, this can be my new coat.”

Spotting the absol wandering through the brush he was once again, headed off by Selena.

If she kept getting the wild ones he had he his eye on and turning down the ones he turned down, she wouldn't leave the area without paying in the form of a battle.

If he had to guess gym leaders probably hated being challenged on the streets when they weren't at work.

Before he had time to ponder what pokémon she might have on her person he saw a little mammal pokémon with the most lush fur scampering by.

Pulling from pocket a stick of jerky he drew the pokémon in with its smell and then ripped off a piece for himself when it got close enough. Once interested he handed it over and while it sat nearby sniffing at Jūken while it ate, Sénon looked it up on DEXapp.

Once he saw it was Normal-type that seemed to care a great deal about its coat, he fished from his pocket a hair comb he used on Jūken in the field and slowly he began to comb the hair of the Cinccino which loosened it up and made it quite friendly.

Crimsen attempted to befirend Cinccino!

Selena is indeed the first one to spot the absol but she doesn't realize the man wants to capture it as well. However, with Senon giving attention to the other pokemon already, she decides to spend her time approaching the disaster pokemon carefully.

The delphox makes gentle strides as she attempts to surround the creature. When it senses her presence, she begins to cast a SHOCK WAVE that it cannot escape. The electricty surges through its body and it manages to stun it a little, giving the pinkette the perfect opportunity to catch it.

After tending to the Cinccino's coat for a bit he fed it another half piece of jerky and gave the other half to Jūken.

The Cinncino and Riolu seemed to get along well enough and even began to to play a bit. "We seem to have similar tastes Selena." He broke into a yawn and stretch anticipating the next batch of wildlings to part the tall grass. "I don't I like it."

Something she's said before finally sinking back in he brought it back up. "Tell me more about that island you own or are from or whatever?"

She laughs at the obvious display of tantrum in her dictionary. Perhaps the man finds it necessary to be chivalric in-front of the Gym Leader. It is not something she will call him out for until he realizes that the things he want should be things he fights for.

“You should be glad. It seems you have exquisite taste as well.”

She picks up the ball that encases the absol before she responds to his inquiry.

“We own an island at the southernmost part of Alola. Alolan raticates used to live there since the island is full of high-quality berries that we use to make wines. How they get there, I can't even fathom.” She huffs. “But that's just our summer resthouse. We usually stay in Camphrier, our hometown.”

It was fairly unnerving to hear how rich Selena was, on top of her charm, talent, acomplishments and being so well-endowed.

If such things were blessings from the gods, Selena was quite highly favored by the divine indeed.

"Born lucky and lived skilled." It was no wonder that electric deity chose her or whatever the process was. In the Three Day War his Ditto was made to mimic one of her electric pokémon only to later discovered what Gan copied "himself" into was some kind of god pokémon. Go figure.

"You keep away from me, Selena Desmarais. My girlfriend might kick me to the curb if she gets a load of you."

Spotting a Kecleon in the brush along with a Skuntank the Ranger draw his focus on the Color Swap Pokémon, not ready to relive the loss of his last Skuntank by raising another one he turned his back on the smelly beast.

Jūken made quick work of the normal-type with two blasts from his FORCE PALM. A Premiere Ball did the rest.

But contrary to what Senon thinks, Selena assumes the reason Tapu Koko chose her is not for her blessings from birth but the ones she makes of it as she grows up. It is hard to think that there is something that the Kalosian doesn't own given her privilege—but should he probe on the matter he will realize that rich people do lack something that only those who hustle to survive have.

And that is what made her leave her heritage and live a life separated from wealth.

“Will she?” She laughs with the statement, thinking the last phrase as a complement. “Wait, is she someone that I know of?”

Where Sénon Game focuses on his attention at the keckleon, Circe takes care of the skuntank. The delphox's wand cackle with electricity, as it the wave released from its tip surges outward and into the poison-type.

Having a seat again on the tree stump he took a moment to ponder the likelihood all the gym leaders of Hoenn didn't know each other. "That depends, do you know the former Gym Leader of Mauville?"

He wasn't active in Hoenn during Cait's tenure as a Gym Leader that made it interesting to consider what her peers thought of her. It was rare to get a chance to get some insight into who she was as a Leader, although he had no interest in prying or digging.

He felt what he felt about Cait, and she had earned that. It didn't much matter what anyone else thought of her.

Still, he was curious.

Selena only has the pleasure of meeting her a few times. She knows her to be sweet and gentle, reserved even, and not as someone that Sénon Game tells her that she is. Perhaps, it is the person behind their everyday mask that he sees, the one too precious for other people to truly understand.

She laughs, riding along with the humor.

Anticipation was turning out to be a weapon that the best Rangers utilized to the greatest effect.

As he chit-chat with Selena about how hot she and his girlfriend were a Deino came wandering through the brush. Already having a Hydreigon of his own the Deino was the perfect follow up capture. Having a little one of its own to look after would likely calm the raging dragon down some.

Of all the unruly species Sénon managed to tame, his Hydreigon was particularly nasty.

Jūken used FORCE PALM; its Super Effective!
Deino used SLAM!
Jūken used COUNTER; its Super Effective!

Before he could throw the pokéball the Riolu came to him looking into his eyes and then holding out his paw. Arching an eyebrow Sénon only needed a moment realize what he wanted. Handing over a Premiere Ball Jūken returned to his defeated foe tagging him with a kneeling touch of the Ball.

When the Deino was willed into the ball Jūken hoisted it up over his head like a trophy, or Link's Sword.
