As the Lugia's obvious agitation starts to simmer and nudges it on the aggressive side, Voldemort takes this opportunity as a distraction for their chosen attack.

And this time, it is not shying away from using their own tricks.

“What is it doing?”

At this point, all of Valerio's questions seems to be rhetorical as they both can't answer the mystery behind the legendary pokemon. But when it remains dormant at the sky, donning the familiar vibrance it has possessed, a black ball of energy begins to form in-front of its body, building and growing until it beams down at the Lugia; a powerful NIGHT SHADE sends honing into Cillian Quinn's corrupted avian.

Another super-effective strike sends Lugia reeling, dark talons leaving deep gouges in the mountain's peak. The uncomfortable PRESSURE exuded by the legendary is becoming unbearable; the trust between himself and Lugia is shaky at best, and he stumbles back from its thrashing tail as it rights itself.

This time, the SHADOW STORM is summoned with no regard for the trainers' safety. It howls across the mountain, a cyclone of swirling darkness with Valerio in its path.

"Enough!"

Gavin's command is loud, clear, and the beast ball in his hand bids Shadow Lugia to listen. A sound like a rippling growl rises in its throat as its wings beat to redirect the storm's path. Gavin shakes his head, and presses the button on the ball.

Red light is reflected in Lugia's eyes before it's sucked back to its prison.

"I will not push it further, lest we have an accident." A misplaced gale could send them over the side of Mt. Pyre, and they would not survive the fall. "Lugia's rage is ill-suited for friendly battle."

It fought to win, to wound, to kill.

As the gale threatens wreak havoc on Mt. Pyre's summit, Valerio attests he have seen the face of death with Lugia's blow of shadow storm. Only until Lunala, who is still as radiant as ever, decides to block his path from the incoming attack.

Cillian Quinn shouts and the Lugia, despite much abhorrence decides to divert the turbulence directed towards the opponent. Still, the impact of which sends boulders crumbling down the side of the mountain, in what the residents of nearby towns will describe as carvings inflicted on the site.

“I agree.”

The radiance that distinguishes the legendary creature begins to dim with the night sky, reverting back to its purple hue as it flies the sky and relishes under the moonlight.

“This will be unproductive if we decide to test its full power with someone from the same time.”

He pauses for a moment, wondering what is their better alternative.

“How about we try battling an avatar?”

In the calm following the storm, Gavin frowns at new scars left upon the mountain's peak. The radiant light will be investigated, of that he has no doubt, and it will be clear to any who climb to such heights that some great battle was fought between powerful entities.

His gaze shifts back to Valerio Dachev.

"An avatar?" He huffs softly. "I don't know how many avatars you're close with, Dachev, but that won't be an easy feat. Unless you challenged FERNANDO SILPH at his gym, I suppose."

He'd seen the options when he'd challenged it for himself. A legendary battle had been among them.

“That's what I'm actually thinking about.”

He laughs at the ludicrous idea but the implication in his underboss's voice says it is somewhat rational. After all, he has only enough badge to even challenge an elite four—and he doubts they will be down to challenge their legendaries as well. But not with FERNANDO SILPH. Not at his gym.

“But of course, they won't be using the freaky powers on me, right?”

The purple hue that imbues from the Lunala are replaced by a sharp red, the light engulfing the giant creature back to its shelter. And just like that, the veil of clouds begins to part, revealing the brilliant night sky that illuminates the destruction the quarrel between their two legendaries has caused.

Despite their pokemons have already been put into safety, there is a loud roar that grumbles amidst the following silence.

“Should we eat? I'm famished.”
