When the slime child was safely away in her Pokeball, Rose reached for another when she realized that only one remained on her. Curses... that boat ride with the Captain, and this cave run had left her dry with only one ball remaining. She cursed quietly under her breath. She should have stopped by for more.

Oh well. With a heavy sigh, Rose followed on, only to be confronted with Chu-e's style. There was hesitation in her walk. A hint of fear from Rose.

... and yet, it seemed so practical. Of course, training to push through pain could lead to victory. The idea intrigued Rose. Glossed lips curved upwards, as she leaned to the side of the cave as it was all over. "I should mention now... I only have one Pokeball. So if we find something just strong enough, or an actual dragon, that would bolster my team."

She regretted the Appletun, but... there was an honest familial feeling already budding in her heart with him.

"A normal trainer wouldn't put their Pokemon through that kind of training... are you a-" She was interrupted by the flopping of an out of water Magikarp. Rose attempted to speak five times, each time the Magikarp flopped and became entirely more than enough of a nuisance. The irritation was showing on her face, like a volcano about to blow, as Delphi moved back towards Rose, calming the woman down tremendously. Her train of thought was derailed.

"If an actual Dragon doesn't appear soon, I suppose I'll have to take my leave. Unless, that is, you'd like that battle. Outside, of course."

Seeing the woman's frustration, Chu-e just... went and picked up the Magikarp by the tail. With his hands. It was a Magikarp. What was it going to do? Sure, it flopped around a lot and tried to get away, but even in his weakened state Chu-e just forced it into a pokeball and went on his way. He thought someone had mentioned someone else was looking for these... maybe....

"I'm okay with a battle." He shrugged @rose off, still trying to force down the ugly feelings the Solosis made him feel. Cipher licked his bloodied muzzle and spat a glob of spit and blood on the floor. Otherwise, he moved to stand beside of his Trainer, a looming presence that would glower at Rose and her partner. The furious look even scared off a Woobat, who had flown down to get a look at all the commotion.

But, Chu-e just tapped Cipher lightly and pointed ahead before turning back and trudging deeper into the cavern. The fox pokemon darted ahead, ears pricked and listening for anything that might try and bother his trainer.

Chu-e removed the flopping irritation, and Rose sighed with relief that she could finally think. The confirmation of a battle had Rose smirking. Each step further inside, she relaxed. She was at ease. As at ease as one could feel next to someone with such vicious Pokemon. Rose didn't mind it though, but Delphi was feeling... concerned. The Arbok's eyes followed Cipher, the feeling of uncertainty. Chu-e was nice, so surely everything would be alright. Right?

As terrifying as Arbok typically are seen, Delphi wasn't the type to breathe terror in his prey. He didn't even like fighting, though he did it out of love for Rose. The cobra preferred an existence where he could become fatter off of the smaller foods he could find. Nobody would miss a Patrat. But the world goes crazy if an Eevee disappears.

With the appearance of a Hakamo-O beating the wall of the caves, Rose finally stopped on her heel, and sighed. "I see." Pulling out her last Pokeball, she reeled her arm back for a throw. Her aim would be perfect, but something was wrong. She clicked her tongue. The flash of a Houndoom came in her mind. She put her arm down.

"How about we head out for that battle now? I think I'll keep this in case I find something special." she asked, no longer intending to catch anything in this cave.

The Hakamo-O was sieged upon in a heartbeat, as soon as @rose decided not to toss her pokeball. Embers flickered past Cipher's maw, his insides glowing with flame. The fox pokemon's eyes crackled with psychic energy- and he was on the other pokemon. Delphox were not known to be physical attacking pokemon. They hung back, stayed clear, hit with powerful bursts of energy. Yet, Cipher did not stick to this. He blasted the dragon type point blank with Psyshocks and Mystical Fires. The wild pokemon, as savage as the line is known to be, still seems shocked at the viciousness. It pummels the fox with Close Combats, but Cipher has his claws wrapped tightly around the other pokemon's throat; choking it while doing the damage.

Chu-e tosses a pokeball of his own at the dragon and recalls Cipher. It looked like he had a broken rib or something. That would need to be looked at and he really didn't want the fox to push himself... too much.

He just calmly walks over and picks up the pokeball, offering it to the girl.

"I have a ton of pokeballs. You take it." But, after she takes or refuses it, he would start walking for the entrance. "Hmm... how intense do you want this battle?" He's already sorting through his own pokeballs, trying to decide who he could use.
