Senon's outburst is met with quiet horror. The waitress walking by had spilled her drinks on the tray, sloshing them when he'd slammed his hand on the counter. She gasps and moves away, back into the kitchen to clean up after herself.[break][break]

And Stormy glances at her briefly when she leaves, drawing her attention back to Senon. At some point, that horror has hardened into confusion, perhaps even a shade of anger.[break][break]

Part of him was ashamed he made her regret to whatever degree she was regretting.

A bigger part of him was sick of shame and lament, anger was coming back. The magma is his blood was coming back. Cinnabar's very own.

"We haven't known each other long." He turned around on the barstool opposite her; his back to the bar. Leaning against it just so he made audible cracks as he adjusted him spine. "But you should know I'm fond of you, even when you're getting under my skin."

"What was it you called yourself back on the boat? A 'piss-poor Kantonian'?" He could understand her there, but he couldn't relate.

Sliding off the bar stool he found her eyes again so as not to leave things awkward or unappreciated. What she have missed, what even he hadn't noticed was that he wasn't a ghost anymore. His eyes were alive again, and razor focused if not quite angry.

"Thank you, for trying Stormy. I mean it, I do. But I'm done talking about it." If Cait decided to share with her bestie he'd leave that between them.

"I can show you better than I can tell you." He held up his pinkie and wiggled it a bit in reference to giving her his word the night they met. "Unless you're afraid of the fire I mean."
