He hadn't been able to do much in the war for Hoenn, at least in his eyes. He was used to being on the front lines, front and center... But fate had other ideas this time. He was on backup duty, putting out fires and stopping the effects that the events had on the Pokemon in areas where these enemies of theirs had been. Cleanup duty, essentially. Someone had to do it, but he always found himself feeling as though he could have done... More.

If he couldn't do more during the war, then he just needed to do more on the field after the war. He had eagerly taken the call to help out some beached Pokemon. Not the most exciting job in the world, but no less important. The blonde arrived via ferry, with a Raichu standing at his side. When he stepped onto the dock, he noticed a red-haired man that matched the description of who he would be looking for. He gave a curt salute.

"Ranger Dragomir, reporting for duty."

Josh shook his hand with a firm yet calm grip. It was clear this was nothing new to him, despite only serving for about a year now with the Rangers. It was funny, really, here he was a rookie... But he'd been involved with law enforcement and similar jurisdictions for so long that he was very likely Senon's senior depending on how long he'd been working in this business. But that didn't matter in the present context, so he had no real reason to ever mention it. His time with the international police was over. Hoenn was where he was staying as a permanent home, and it was of more use for him to work with the Rangers directly. So for all intents and purposes, he was the rookie looking for his big break. Ironic when he was probably around Senon's age already. But Senon likely knew the ropes of how the Rangers operated better than he did, so he'd be following his lead here either way.

That was what mattered in the end.

"No problem. Let's mosey" he responded curtly as they got to work. It didn't take them long to find their quarry. The Wailord was massive, and could be seen from a mile away. Luckily, Josh had already ensured he was briefed beforehand and had prepared accordingly.

"Micken, Dunamus, Gustave, you're up" Josh began to call out as he sent out an Incineroar, Swampert and Venusaur respectively. Heavy hitters, and capable of shifting some serious weight. He looked to Senon.

"You got a plan? I've brought some heavies just in case."

Uh oh indeed.

Only a Ranger for six months? But already an Elite, according to the research Josh had done? That was interesting. What in the world had this guy done to merit that? There had to be stories to tell. Things he'd seen and done in such a short time that would merit that. It made him quite interested, wondering about the feats he must have pulled off. They would be questions for another time, though. For there was another, more immediate problem. Thus the uh oh.

"It must have slipped their minds" he admitted sheepishly, but there was an air of slight amusement to his tone as he looked to his Pokemon. "I didn't know about that. But it would be a shame if we came all the way out here for nothing..."

He pushed down on his right hand gauntlet, and it began to glow with Mega Evolution energy. Nearby, the Swampert, Dunamus, began to glow as well.

"Luckily I came prepared for just the occasion."

Dunamus began to Mega Evolve and soon enough, the powerhouse began to beat its chest as the typically laid back and passive Swampert was reinvigorated with energy.

He'd been doing this for a very long time. In his early 20s, he had first set out on his Pokemon journey. But he had been raising Pokemon in some shape or form since he was a child. He knew how to create bonds with Pokemon, and Dunamus was no different. There had been many years for him to discover and make the most of Mega Evolution. But one thing, even all those years later, that he never got tired of... Was seeing people's eyes light up when he activated Mega Evolution.

Josh smiled warmly when the time came for Senon. "First time?" he asked as Dunamus took his position at the head, being the one who would be doing the primary pushing. Meanwhile the other two took spots as direction, able to nudge the Wailord where it needed to be while the Swampert provided most of the momentum. The Raichu meanwhile, had taken a spot as a lookout, helping to keep them on track.

"Anything you think might help would be great. I'm sure they can use all the help they can get."

No strategy, huh? Fair enough, this guy was the Elite. He hadn't exactly yeeted any Wailords before, so he wouldn't know himself. The blonde shrugged his shoulders as he looked to the Mega Swampert. "You heard the man, Dunamus. Yeet that whale all the way to the coral reefs."

The Swampert appeared to have no problem with this, promptly hoisting the Wailord up over its head, which seemed to amaze even Josh. Were Wailord really light enough, or was Mega Swampert really that tough? He didn't know. These were things he was going to have to test further, but for now? This? This was amazing. The other Pokemon served to help guide it to where it needed to go in order to get a good throw, before Dunamus threw with a big heave, launching the Wailord across the sky until it landed in the water.

"Well, shit."
