Sabine had never run from anything in her entire life, so when the Houndoom jumps to action in an attempt to separate them she is oblivious. She is so completely wrapped up in the woman at her fingertips, so absorbed in merely existing in her attention and her attraction that the protectiveness, the anxiety, doesn't faze her. It has no power here.[break][break]

But she finds a balance between giving in entirely and pressuring Lulu for more. She doesn't initiate, merely watches and responds. Feet skirt the bare floor, cold to the touch and yet it does nothing but add to the experience. The two women, swathed in darkness and mystery, barely capable of keeping their hands off of each other once they had begun.[break][break]

In the dark, lips brush, each touch is tantalizing-- and then the light turns on and Sabine's emerald gaze sweeps the length of the room.[break][break]

Her lips curl into satisfied smiles with every light touch. They part, emitting a soft sigh, as fingers slip past her barrier of clothing with the intention to lift, to remove. She blinks slowly, tilting her cheek to face the woman, curiosity and thinly veiled desire glinting in a sharpened gaze.[break][break]

Lulu smirked into the woman’s ear, whispering as she redressed her in less but more designer: “It could be.” Fingers tickled up a rib and grasped her own to guide Sabine to reciprocate.

When they were ‘dressed,’ feet would cross cold floor again, fingers likely intertwined until Lulu paused and considered. Wine? Towels? “Hold on.” They unlaced, and she went, still within sight, for the closet again, for the kitchen, to a cupboard with stemmed glassware, wine; a particularly nice blend stocked specifically for her.

She came back with all, hands full and shoulders toweled and a multitool hooked on the clasp at her sternum. “Shall we?”

Through a lab and up the stairs, they would find themselves on the roof, in the breeze of island air. There was little in the way of furnishings, as Lulu had decidedly not liked what the owner had put there, but, perhaps unsurprisingly, had not replaced those things with anything else. 'I do not always know what I want, but I do know what I don't want.' The only thing she’d kept was a lone tropical plant in a jarringly red vase—a perplexing choice amidst literally nothing else, except the pool.

It was beautifully designed and constructed, like everything else within the apartment. Long, thin, glittering in the sunlight. All the way to the glass, where you could literally float on the horizon, and maybe right off the edge, beyond infinity and into the sand below.

It wouldn’t have ever been visible from the road, as it faced a private slice of beach that Lulu didn’t own. Yet, maybe. Lulu made more money than anyone knew—and, even unbeknownst to Sabine, quite a bit of it was coming from Galar.

“What’s the verdict?”

She takes her time, savouring every touch, every glimpse, every bite.[break][break]

Exposed skin and quiet breaths encourage her forward. The removal of one piece of Lulu's clothing becomes another, and another, and she revels in the work of art before her a moment longer before they both slip into something a little more comfortable.[break][break]

Or perhaps less comfortable but more appealing. Smooth as silk, Sabine's fingers lace through Lulu's, thumb brushing against the woman's skin, delicate and loving in its own right. And when they inevitably part with the words 'hold on', Sabine watches after the object of her affection with a satisfied smile. It doesn't take her long to return bearing wine.[break][break]

Their united, delicate footfalls bring them to the roof. It manages to catch Sabine by surprise, though she is, admittedly disappointed by the lack of visual flair. But the area had potential and it was calming, peaceful, private. It was perfect.[break][break]

"Mmm.. your own little slice of heaven, Lulu. I like it."[break][break]

But rather than indulge in the scenery, Sabine makes a point to eliminate the space between them. One by one she takes the towels, the wine bottles, the wine glasses off of her to set on a table right next to them. Every time she does, her fingers brush skin. She traces her fingertips along the woman's arms, past her fingertips, to curl them in on each other. She lifts Lulu's hand to her lips, pressing delicate, lingering kisses against her knuckles.[break][break]

"I missed you."[break][break]

Sabine Calcifet

Her amber eyes watched the woman take her hand. Sabine showed more gentleness than anyone had ever shown her.

Lips moved across her scars. “I missed you.” It didn’t matter if it was true or not. She should have, and she realized that.

The next words came of their own accord.

“My name is Saoirse.”

She stared a long moment, having surprised herself. In fact, she was rather dumbfounded. Hopefully, this wouldn’t be another thing Sabine would be unhappy with her over. It wasn’t uncommon for Rockets to hide their identities, after all.

Her body, dipped rib to toe in mafia imagery, drew away to fetch them both a glass of wine from the table. She unhooked the tool, cut away foil and wiggled out a cork on a screw. POP. “You may call me whatever you like.”

She poured two spacious glasses and handed one over.

Lulu's admission and even the truth she spills do not bring surprise to the woman's face. Rather, she looks at her with quiet acceptance. Perhaps she had already known, and to be told the truth was nothing more than another realization how close the two had become. While she hadn't known what, exactly, Lulu's real name was, it wasn't a surprise that it had been kept hidden. The woman was a mystery, one that made her think, made her draw breath with excitement and anticipation.[break][break]

She watches after her as she uncorks the wine. Though Sabine's attention has lingered not on her tattoos, not on the tall glasses in her hand, not on the bottle of wine as it is poured, but on the expression on Lulu's face. Her lips move to grant her permission, but Sabine's hunger is greater than she might realize.[break][break]

"Then I shall call you mine."[break][break]

The glass is offered to her and she takes it, and the two are connected by the brush of fingertips between a glass stem of red.[break][break]

Sabine Calcifet

A smile, not careful with edges but soft and open, washed over the ice cap of her head. She poured herself a glass, and then rounded the ledge to trail a hand across the woman’s back. It curled into a loose embrace from behind, while fingertips went around to explore a naval, lips brushing her neck as she peered out into the distance of the ocean through the elegant slope of Sabine’s shoulder. Their hair blew in the breeze, a similar color blending together around faces, feelings. “Whatever you like, my queen.”

Lulu drew away to take a sip from her wine, but her hand lingered longer, until the touch diminished to a single dragging finger. It too, left, still whispering in the other woman’s direction even as it did. The scientist stepped down the stairs of the pool, and the glass was set off on an edge.

Then, instead of waiting, she dove under, pushing with an ink-blackened foot and spinning to float on her back, watching clouds for a long moment. Before long, though, she spun and went back down again to resurface near the stairs. Stood a bit taller, reaching up to smooth bangs back into the rest of her hair and look up at the princess in a way that was part worshipping from below, but devious enough to drag her under.

A dripping hand was held out. “Come here, love.”

If she took it, she’d be pulled in.

Sabine cradles the glass in her hand, idly swirling it as she stares out over the ocean. It's breeze carries her thoughts away, but she tilts her cheek back to the present as a warm hand trails along her exposed back. Lulu's hand settles against her navel, and the path it had chosen left behind raised skin and anticipation.[break][break]

"Mmm.."[break][break]

Her approval is a brief note as she accepts the kiss to her neck. But Lulu's presence is constantly drifting, constantly changing, and as easily as she had stepped into her space she steps away. Sabine shifts her weight to watch her, mesmerized by fingertips along her spine that beg her to give chase.[break][break]

Sabine had never been the kind to pursue, but with Lulu things had changed. With Lulu it was like a carefuly crafted and unexplainable dance. The woman's finger curls to beckon her into the pool, and Sabine finds herself setting aside her pride to do as she is asked.[break][break]

Her own glass is set along the edge of the pool the ting of glass against the stone surface a soft ting. Sabine's smile is dangerous, and although she is the one stepping into the depths and taking her hand, she can't help but feel like she is still, in some capacity, in control. Ignorance is bliss, perhaps.[break][break]

Lulu extends a hand and Sabine places her hand deliberately into it, allowing the woman to pull her under.[break][break]

Sabine Calcifet

Fingers were laced with a smirk which could not let such beauty and purity simply exist. Enamored, at least for that moment, she pulled her in with a splash.

The sun danced in ripples on pale skin, as did fingers. She dragged her deeper, down into the pool, into their own world of weightlessness. This time, her body wouldn’t leave. She wrapped around her loosely, moving like waves until it was time to rise. Her princess was pulled along, needed.

Lips found her neck, grazing, and then deeper. Purposeful. A hand drifted down came down her back, traveling further and staking claim.

“You’re perfect.”

Sabine was pure. At least, that’s how she saw the woman. She was put on a pedestal. A throne, built of diamonds and silver spoons. Reduced to something Lulu thought she could understand without a microscope; and something she thought, maybe this time, she could protect.

This was what she craved.[break][break]

To be worshipped, to be admired, to be lusted for in the way that Lulu did. It was cruel, maybe, selfish, definitely. But she craved that attention, that adoration, that pedestal she sat upon. Beneath Lulu's dark and mysterious gaze she felt needed, felt wanted, felt whole.[break][break]

She was far from perfect, far from the person that Lulu assumed her to be. Sabine was a sham, in some capacity. While she came from money, came from royalty, bore the blood of ancients and spoke with that stilted Galarian novelty- she was nothing. Just another empty shell like any other person. [break][break]

Hoenn had yet to teach her humility, failed to show her her flaws. She preferred to cover them up with beautiful trinkets, beautiful men and women, beautiful minds.[break][break]

And so when Lulu calls her perfect, Sabine believes it to be true.[break][break]
