At the Vital Spirit Festival, Chu-e was one of the people who received a packet of carrot seeds. They were special, apparently, with some instructions on where to plant... so of the two options, Chu-e chose Shoal Cave. First, because the cavern was right next to Mossadeep, where he lived. Second, because Chu-e fucking hated ghosts and wasn't ABOUT to go to Mt. Pyre without a really fucking good reason.

So for now, he had found a nice spot that was out of sight to tourists but not too much of a hike into the cave. He hummed to himself as he tilled the soil, using the stuff he had brought from his own garden at home. Hmm... should he put up a little scarecrow? Wouldn't want wild pokemon to munch on them....

Chu-e had just finished lovingly covering the seeds when his head dipped under an additional weight.

A wild Frosmoth must have decided his very cute and extremely functional sun hat (never mind the CAVE part of this) was the perfect place to rest it's large wings. His first urge was to shoo it away; then Chu-e remembered the cute little Snom he had gotten a few months ago. While he didn't routinely carry that pokemon around, he liked to keep him in the house and take cute pictures of him when he felt so inclined. Plus, free ice pack!

Maybe if he brought the Frosmoth home... he would be an even better ice pack....

Well, worst that happened was he ended up trading or killing it later if he didn't want it. No harm, no foul.

Careful not to unbalance the moth, Chu-e plucked out a pokeball and tapped on the pokemon.
