he'd almost forgotten that he was out here with someone. of course that happened a lot of the time when he got lost in thought. he had plenty of time to get lost in thought at his day job. "we need to keep an eye out though, there's plenty of pokemon around here waiting to get on my nerves." rolling his eyes some he stretched a little bit as a pokemon stomped past him. it wasn't what he wanted but he could at least use a bibarel for fodder. there were plenty of people who would like a thick, tank-like pokemon like this. he just wasn't one of them. but luckily it was a water type and he specialized in grass types.

"chunhua, go. knock that thing out." releasing the sunflora he didn't need to do much to instruct her. she was good at what she did after all. bibarel weren't exactly known for their intelligence either as it stood there, watching the grass type use leaf storm on it to trap it within a grassy hell. confusing the bibarel a bit as the leaves caused damage upon it. as it tottered and got weaker jinhai casually tossed a pokeball at it, ready to send it off as soon as they were finished here.

"you would think that in a place like this there would be more pokemon that were actually interesting." a bibarel was hardly a prize. though if he had seen the chingling before immediately hopping on the first pokemon he saw it might have been a bit on the better side. but he wasn't worried about that right now. if they were lucky maybe they would find some sort of fossil creature in a place this old. but he doubted it. he was never that lucky in this sort of thing. the only luck he really had was with grass types. and even that was spotty at best lately. he felt something probing at his mind before he could realize what was happening, a blur teleporting in front of him as a spoon whisked past his face. he felt it cut the side of his cheek as the kadabra tested its luck with him.

wiping the blood casually from his cheek he looked bored. "i said interesting, not ugly." he didn't need a kadabra but he could use it as fodder for something he was sure. anything that wasn't a grass type was pretty well useless to him. he didn't have to be kind. with a different type of pokemon to fight he needed a different type of pokemon out. one of the few pokemon on his team that wasn't a grass type he released the umbreon. "do what you like feng." he didn't care if the kadabra was harmed or killed at this point. after all it had made its message clear on attacking him. once more the kadabra tried to teleport around him, probably in an attempt to harm him.

but feng was prepared for that and released a dark pulse in the kadabra's direction. tracking and tracing it around the cave as it teleported back and forth. but it couldn't run forever as pulse after pulse attacked it and it finally fell to the ground. "pathetic, really." but he tossed a pokeball at it regardless. "do you think someone in the lab will be able to use this thing?" it was a casual question. one he didn't care one way or the other to the answer for.

it wasn't surprising that pokemon would start to be afraid of the duo. after all one of them had just killed a pokemon. meaning that the smell of blood was even heavier in the air now. it didn't matter to him though. what mattered was that he found something worthwhile to take back. though that was looking like a bit of a bust now that he thought of it. pokemon that had begun to wander this way due to the commotion had made their way back away from them. "we might need to move deeper into the caves for this now." feng went ahead of the way a bit, illuminating cave walls with the yellow glow from her body.

wasn't this place supposed to be lush with rare pokemon? and yet this is what they had spawning so far. it wasn't until he felt something goop down onto his shoulder did he stop walking, mildly frustrated with the fact that the pokemon here were rather pathetic. "disgusting..." at least that was what he said out loud. internally he knew someone who was willing to pay cash for pokemon like this for some reason. so when he shoved the goomy to the ground feng sunk her teeth into it. not literally because that would be gross. but using dark pulse followed by confuse ray on the dragon. it was stunned enough from being tossed and the rapid attacks that it was an easy capture. "this place seems like a bust... why do they constantly send us out here?" fossils this and fossils that and yet he had yet to see something extremely rare.
