You’re, uh, you’re sure about this one? The Tropius was a bigger target than Locke would’ve liked, but Gre-Gre only gave a firm nod in response. He was itching for a challenge.

The opponent in question was already aware of the pair’s presence, eyeing them both carefully from where it had been grazing. “Let’s try and get some kind of advantage, at least. Spikes!” With a puff of smoke Gre-Gre produced several caltrops and scattered them around his target. The Tropius was having none of it, however, blowing the hazards away with an Air Slash from its leafy wings. It continued whipping up the wind around it, keeping its assailants at a distance.

“Get past it with Shadow Sneak!” As easily as if he were diving into water, the Greninja slipped into his own shadow. He dashed around the Tropius a few times before leaping out behind it, striking it squarely in the back. The massive grass-type stumbled forward from the blow, ending the Air Slash.

“Finish it with Extrasensory!”

Gre-Gre crossed his arms and focused, eyes glowing as three large, opalescent rings of psychic energy surrounded him. Before the Tropius could even turn around the rings expanded and smashed into the dinosaur, knocking it to ground. Not willing to give it a chance to continue the fight, Locke expanded an empty Pokéball and threw it.
