It ain’t easy being mean. In effete morality, I maintain a masquerade of earnestness and modesty.

we forgot we were human

Her eyes sit at ease, the calmness of her features betrayed by the smile that sat on her lips, a wide and toothy grin as devilish as the woman herself.
Lulu’s pain was loud and clear; Marie reveling in it being just as, if not more, satisfying as what Gavin had presented previously.
When it was all said and done, Marie could not help but let out a small chuckle, her arms folded across her chest as she calmly observed the woman struggling to catch herself on the platform before them, not even bothering to turn to Declan as he spoke; deeming his words inconsequential to her own observations.
The words “good boy” come to mind at Gavin’s obedience, Marie finding solace in his compliance. As for Lulu, her abrasiveness was comforting, the single word she spoke seeping of malice and discontent; it was unconventionally attractive. Marie could not be happier with the results of her little experiment, the start of something bigger than them bringing excitement to the woman internally.
“I know how hard this all must have been on you two. But I hope you’re both proud of the outcome. Go home, and get some rest; I’ll be in contact with you both in the future.”
The Xatu returns to her side, lifting her into the air alongside the Orbeetle, the three of them floating towards the machine- Marie personally escorting the Floette from its chamber and allowing it to rest along her collar.
“Oh, one more thing.” She speaks up, head half turning towards them as her body faces the machine. “Don’t let your newfound power get to your head. You’re still only human after all.”
