glitch being bored and left alone to his own devices was probably one of the worst things that ever happened in a lifetime. especially when he was allowed to go where he want and do whatever he wanted. and what he wanted to do was bother one of the new recruits because it was funny. so when he found out that the target of his annoyances had finally left that gross bistro and decided to head out to arceus knew where he decided to follow. because it would be funny.

"oh my god are you trainingggg? run faster you'll get stronger faster that way." sitting down on the grass he watched as jonah ran around like an idiot. it was fun to watch at least. even if it was gross and sweaty work. "why are you wearing two jumpsuits that seems silly? i don't even wear my rocket uniform did you know that you have to pay for fun alterations? that's why i took scissors to mine and whoops cut too many holes... i haven't gotten a new one yet." he would never fucking shut up. you couldn't pay him to.

He rolled his eyes as Glitch spoke up. Well, atleast he didn’t have to pretend to date him for work again. Having finished a few laps around the bridge, he stopped for a second and started to breathe. He regained his composure, and pulled himself to the side so as to not bother others on the bridge. He put his hands at shoulder-width apart and leaned in as if he was a tree being felled by a lumberjack. He caught himself with his hands and started to do push-ups. His pace was a little slow, but it was important to almost fight against momentum and ensure that muscles moving were the only thing carrying him. To do otherwise would be “cheating” the weight, and denying himself some muscle growth. Having finished 25, one of his arms buckled and he faceplanted in the grass. [break][break]
Jonah sat up from this position, and started to stand. Jonah’s Manectric seemed to recognize Glitch from the other day. The tall hound dutifully trotted over to them and threw himself at the ground on his side. The big dog sunned itself, occasionally reaching out a front paw. Jonah on the other hand pulled the magenta hair from his face and stepped over to that little nerd. He unzipped his jumpsuit a little more, revealing more of the Rocket tights. “I have to wear this to unload the truck and sit in on meetings. I’d look a little different if I went home and changed, instead of going for a jog right after work. But... work is good. Being tired and sweaty is good. Exercise is about measuring yourself against a force that can’t lie to you.” Can’t lie to you. He was stunningly inarticulate and bad with words, but that felt appropriate. After all, what was his job other than cooking, lifting, and lying?

he was both interested in the electric doggy and the fact that jonah seemed to be taking this whole exercising thing seriously. glitch did cardio and things like that sure but never honest to arceus work outs. those were for people who needed to be the muscle. not for the people who were cute and had muscle do things for them. so he watched and occasionally reached out to pet the manetric, only slightly worried about what the pokemon would do to his hair with all that static.

"well, at least you look good in basic black. there are some people in rocket that can't even pull that off and i can't even begin to tell you how embarrassing that is for all of us. especially them." but that was there problem now wasn't it? it wasn't his fault if people were ugly as hell. "so, what are your 'rocket goals' as someone might say? tell glitch all your aspirations and dreams." yes he was probing for information and no he didn't care. if you wanted to get big you needed to have small people under you.

Jonah looked him up and down, and nodded. “Yeah, you don’t seem like you go outside, let alone to work out.” Not that he minded. Well, the second question dug a little deeper. Before joining the Rockets, Jonah had a series of degrading odd-jobs. He hadn’t what it took to be a good student, and work was hard to come by. He slowly lost all of his friends, too. This was like being rescued by a life guard and asked if you were thinking about a career as a lifeguard. He didn’t even get that far, yet. But, he’d look easy to manipulate, or worse, like a dullard if he didn’t just riff and figure it out later. “I want to be an Admin. I want to be hard to ignore, and worth a lot of money.” Why Glitch had to know this was beyond him. “So, what are your Rocket Goals, as it were?”[break][break]
Their meeting was interrupted by the appearance of not one but two pokemon, neither of which looked like they were from here. He must’ve been getting a little too good at his smuggling job. He turned, and made eye contact with the Unfezant. The crested bird, gesturing and struggling to sit still, reminded him of himself. Jonah seemed to specialize in electric types, and thus catching it instead of knocking it out would prove to be a little complicated. He sicced his Manectric on it, and in a flash of orange, it’s white-hot jaws latched onto the side of the bird, trying to ground it with Fire Fang. Jonah then dug around in his mustard-yellow jumpsuit, and produced a pokeball. He dug his feet into the grass a little, and beaned the bird in the head with a fastball. The red beam from the ball tried to contain it, and the ball sat on the ground wiggling, with anticipation.

he listened to giona ferrara talk about how he was an outdoor person or whatever and blah blah blah. it was fine for him to like working out but it was strange to think that someone actually enjoyed all the manual labor that came with it. though he supposed that was part of the deal of being the muscle. "i want to be rich and i want to be powerful. it's as simple as that. i'm a very simple man." he wanted the money and power that could come with being in rocket. "and i want to have fun while doing it." he'd left school early due to being bored to hell with it and ended up doing meaningless jobs while trying to find his true calling. causing chaos seemed to be it.

but their chat was to be interrupted by a couple of pokemon that came by, nothing that really bothered him. not when one of them was a pokemon he'd had his eye on the lookout for for awhile. with a glimmer of excitement he jumped up to approach the conkeldurr. it was bit. it was strong and it was just the type of pokemon he loved to have on his team. and just like every other big lug that seemed to be unwanted all it needed was a little bit of attention to make it feel good enough about itself to love you.

digging out one of the many snacks from his bag he held it out for the wary pokemon to take. "don't worry about what's going on with them big guy... you can come with me nice and easy and i'll make sure that everything is fine." it was better of course than trying to fight it out. especially since glitch's pokemon on deck was his hatterene. a pokemon sure to obliterate the hell out of this meathead. so it accepted the snack and then cautiously accepted the pokeball rather than fight it out.

Jonah couldn't help but grin, watching Glitch seemingly dote on this big galoot, this creature that'd easily make him collapse like a folding chair. There was something charming about this fussy brat trying their hardest to be nice. He almost didn't notice the pokeball he threw stopped wiggling. A little "ding" came, and it sat with its red half poking out of the well-manicured grass of the bridge. His Manectric dutifully picked up the ball in its mouth and walked over to Jonah. It dropped the ball, and sat. It looked up at him and tilted its head slightly.[break][break]
Their meeting was interrupted by the appearance of not one but two pokemon. Neither looked as practical to have as either of the previous two. While he just kind of assumed that that little nerd would love swaddling the tiny bear in his arms, he couldn't think of a purpose for a Medicham, save for trading away or selling directly. Nonetheless, he whistled, and his Manectric trotted over to the Medicham. The hound trotted in circles around it, as the pink creature sized it up. Even if this exchange hadn't gone down, Medicham would've been strong and wary enough to take some... convincing. Manectric galloped towards it, flashing gold and covering itself in a fuzzy field of static. Its wild charge weakened the Medicham sufficiently, but it was responded to in kind with a zen headbutt. Jonah then threw a pokeball, beaning the Medicham in the head before things could get worse. He turned aside, looking over at Glitch. "Did you meet any of the higher-ups, yet?" He asked, thinking about his own incredibly brief exchange with Wolfe, receiving a rather restless Luxio. Furthermore, it was worth knowing if Glitch was gonna be stuck in the minor leagues with Jonah for a while.

of course he babied the big pokemon. babying people and pokemon was how you got them to like you. to do what you wanted. to be your friend. it was the best way to get anything really. with a smile he shrugged and nodded. "i've met a few, becoming close and whatnot to a couple. that's how you gotta do it. rub elbows and kiss ass until you're at the top." and he desperately wanted to be at the top. "what about you?" he wanted to keep tabs on his new buddy after all. make sure that he wasn't getting into any real trouble. or too far ahead of him. it would suck if he got surpassed by someone that had joined after him.

but he was getting ahead of himself actually. there was a new pokemon on the scene and it looked really cute. like, hella cute. he didn't really fight the pokemon he caught. preferring to win them over. except for a few. so he lifted the large stuffed animal and squished it gently. holding it close and petting it on the head. "this little guy is going to evolve to a pokemon that's over six feet tall, did you know?" he liked large pokemon and they were absolutely a blast to have a round. but the stufful just made a small squeaking noise as it was squeezed and stared at jonah. it wasn't going to go anywhere and he didn't want it to. so he was going to keep it like he did all the things he wanted.
