[attr="class","spiral"]Today’s business in the Safari Zone is more experimental than usual. The excuse of venturing deep into the wilderness to catch Pokemon is apt enough to stave off any suspicions. No one bats an eye.

Fernando takes his walk leisurely at first. The entrance to the Safari Zone is met with a brisk pace that lulls him away from the attendants and staff. There’s work to be done.

He cannot waste time on any Pokemon that impedes his path. The call for his Legendary is met with a ravenous canine eager to please its master’s every command.

“Battle routine set.”

It crouches on its hindlegs, ready to pounce.

“Execute.”

It leaps forward in a tackling SUPER POWER. The Oricorio proves resistant to the attack, shrugging it off as it spins on its talons, engaging in a REVELATION DANCE. Fernando says nothing as the two Pokemon skirmish, readying his Safari Ball as he approaches.

STONE EDGE and DRAGON PULSE subdue the Pokemon and he catches it posthaste. The faster they depart the better.

[attr="class","spiral"]The appearance of another Minior is enough to catch his attention. “We’re about deep enough,” he gauges to himself.

He calls upon his Smeargle, giving the Pokemon time to charge up its attack. It cackles with a flow of blue and grey energy, voice growing increasingly louder as it aims its maw. When the power manifest it unleashes its ROAR OF TIME.

The distortion pales in comparison to the source. There’s no hope of mimicking its full potential. But the end result is more than satisfying. A fraction of Dialga’s power will suffice as long as he has access to Celebi.

Now he just needs a host.

A Safari Ball captures his first test subject.

[attr="class","spiral"]By now, his Smeargle has recuperated. Whatever strain the powers put on him, they’re recovered within their stroll. By the time they come across another Minior, the Pokemon is ready for power.

“Again. This time, scale it smaller.”

Trying to bend temporal powers into something more controlled proves impossible. Not on the second try. But familiarizing the Pokemon with the foreign ability will prove useful.

Watching the Minior remain suspended, armor peeling off at an excruciating slow rate.

He lobs another ball at it for an easy capture.
