I'm addicted to the panic

Walter had forced him out of the penthouse for the day, and rather than stick around Mossdeep with his irate neighbor, or irritable neighbor is how he should say. He got on Draco's back, and had him fly to this place. According to the event calendar on his Holowatch there was some sort of festival, or gathering event going on at the moment. Apparently it was a big event where everyone came together to harvest all the berries that had been growing from up to that point. Thanks to the volcanic ash the harvest was always good, and with so much they always needed extra hands. The other upside was that you got to keep a few of the berries afterward for helping out. Not that he needed to work for what he wanted, but Adontis would appreciate the festivities he figured so after about an hour they landed in Route 113.

Recalling Draco back into his pokeball in a flash of red light he looked around as the harvest seemed to be starting. Not asking for permission Amor simply grabbed one of the empty baskets nearby, and with Adontis on his shoulder he set about helping. It was strange not wearing a suit, but there was a time, and place for all clothing. Right now he was sporting a pair of cargo shorts, and black tank top, his long silvery hair was tied back into a pony tail. Adontis skittered up his arm, and into the trees grabbing a berry, and bringing it back down into their basket as he grabbed the ones that hung low. The little Pichu was very energetic as was the norm, but he was simply thinking about the berries he would get to eat at the end of this little festival.

"Pi Pi Pichu! Pichu Pichu Pi!" He exclaimed as he held up an oran berry, and was about to take a bite out of it before Amor snatched it from his grasp causing the little pokemon to pout.

"Ah ah...If you want your reward you have to behave first. They won't reward bad Pichu who eat the berries before they are ready." he teased his little Pokemon, whose cheeks sparked defiantly. With a gentle chuckle he patted Adontis lightly on the head. "Now now...We will be done soon, so just be a little patient, yeah?" he explained to his partner as they went back to work. Adontis nodded a bit satisfied, and continued to run around the tree darting between the trees picking up all the berries, and carrying them back to his, and Amor's basket.

As he did this there was a girl who happened to be picking up the same berry as he was right now. Tilting his head at her curiously, his cheeks sparked happily, and he waved at her happily. Mainly because her hair was a similar shade, and length of his trainers. Adontis liked shiny haired people like that.

"Pichu! Pi Pi Pichu, Pi Pi!" he exclaimed to her happily, and put the berry in her basket, and waved at her to follow him. Whether she did or not he didn't even know but he made his way back to Amor, and motioned back to the girl.

"Hmmmm?" A very confused Amor looked at the direction his very exuberant Pichu was pointing, and waving.

[attr="class","hanatext"]If there's anything Lilith has learnt through her years of travel, it's that berries are one of the most valuable resources available to her. Boasting medical benefits, curing status ailments and easily found no matter which region she travels to, they are a blessing that remains constant in her life even through rough patches. With every chance of harvest comes a wave of relief, the need to make a trip to pharmacies and town stores greatly reduced. Lesser financial burden and the ability to destroy any tracks to be traced… There's barely anything for her to lose when it comes to attending the berry harvest along Route 113.

"You know how to do it best." Though it seems she speaks to herself, the air seems to waver with a deep sense of foreboding, a soft laughter echoing throughout the clearing. A tentative step in one direction, a great rustling of leaves in the other; Without warning, a Mimikyu pops out of a pile of fallen leaves, his carefully woven head lopping from side to side as he scampers towards one of the flowering brushes. Then with a cackle, he extends a shadowy hands, flexing sharpened claws before he Slashes the berries right from the tangled vines.

His achievement is celebrated with a maniacal howl and even more ravenous hunting, an action only acknowledged by a sigh as Lilith sweeps the results of his labour into her basket. "Don't go overboard, Hex. Make sure you're only cutting the ripe ones or you'll cause harm to the plant." It's times like these that she reminded of why she has to exercise caution with his antics, idle hands working to pick her own as her attention lingers on the Mimikyu.

But she's momentarily distracted by the appearance of a tiny mouse, hesitance slowing her movements as she realises he's reaching for the same berry that she is. "Oh… uhm… hi?" While they don't quite speak the same tongue, Lilith catches the glimmer of curiosity in his eyes, the happiness that melts through with his excited waving before he places the fruit into her basket and scampers off towards another person in the distance.

"Okay… uhm… bye… I guess…?"

Perhaps, she should consult Dakota a little more on the behavioural sciences of pokemon.

I'm addicted to the panic

Being urged on by the child like Pokemon who was incredibly excited for some reason, Amor made his way over to where his Pokemon wanted him to go. When he arrived he saw a small girl who seemed to be picking berries like the both of him, Adontis was clearly excited because of the way he was waving at her. Perhaps he should teach his small Pokemon that bothering strangers wasn't great etiquette, but he doubted he would listen either way. Adontis was a stubborn child at that, but when the little Pichu jumped up on his shoulder, and began motioning to his hair, and then back down on the ground, and motioned to her hair it clicked for Amor. A small chuckle left his lips as he knelt down, and patted the rambunctious little mouse.

"I am not the only one with long hair buddy...Or with hair of this color for that matter...Though I'm glad you think it's special..." he laughed good naturedly, and ruffled the fur on his Pichu. "It appears my friend has caused you some trouble because he thinks we look similar...My apologies for that..." he stated to the young girl, and bowed his head. Adontis realizing that his trainer was apologizing for something, for some reason copied him, and bowed to.

"Pichu Pi!" he said trying his best to sound sorry, but he was just mimicking Amor in his normal adorable way.

"I am Amor...I see you have come to help pick some berries as well? Is that your Mimikyu?" he stated sounding slightly fascinated. It wasn't a Pokemon that he had come across often though he normally steered clear of fairy types because he wasn't a good match up for them with all his dragon types. Though he was slowly trying to broaden his horizons, he was always going to be more comfortable with dragons than any other type. The sole exception being Adontis.

"Would you like to pick berries together since my friend here seems to like you? If not that is okay as well." he stated with a simple tone as Adontis brought him another berry, and they continued to fill their baskets together. Amor wasn't in the habit of making others do things that made them uncomfortable.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Imagine running into a Pichu that gave up its berry and promptly scampered away… As far as Lilith knows, this is probably going to be the least of her problems should the Pichu bring company. And her gut instincts are immediately proven right by the rustling of foliage nearby, footsteps growing steadily in volume as she looks up to meet the eyes of a stranger.

"It's… not a problem…" In fact, she doesn't see the harm caused by the little slipup - If it even is one to begin with. Confusion dusts her expression as she watches the duo bow, but she supposes it's one of the many weird ways that people express apologies… Right?

"Lilith." Her response is kept brief, uncertainty hinging off her words as she nods at his questions. "Hex is… a troublemaker, to say the least." The Mimikyu jumps in response to his name being called, rapidly abandoning his post of de-shrubbery as a mix of twigs and leaves scatters from his head. And he is quick to reach her side, his head flopping from the momentum of his movement as he stares Adontis down. Then, he growls, shaking vigorously as a shadow tendril begins to peek from under his cloak, only to be stopped by a gentle hand placed on his head.

"Sorry, he just tends to get a little aggressive around other pokemon… Not all Mimikyus are like that though, if you're worried about it…" She keeps a steady rhythm with her hand, rubbing Hex's back in circular motions before signalling for him to return to shredding the overgrowth for berries. And he complies, albeit with a hint of hesitation, huffing as he creates some distance between him and the Pichu.

"Feel free to do what you like…" She can't exactly stop him, neither does she feel like exerting more effort than necessary to do so. As long as Adontis doesn't try to pull any tricks on Hex, he will remain on his best behaviour and all will be well.

The girl describing her Pokemon as a troublemaker caused him to look over at Adontis, and he couldn't help, but mentally agree with her. His own little Pokemon was quite rambunctious if he was left unattended for to long, though when she explained that her Mimikyu was aggressive with other's around, he whistled for Adontis to reclaim his perch on his shoulder. It wasn't that he didn't trust her control over her Pokemon, but Adontis was very friendly, and just liked to be friends with everyone. Amor would rather avoid making her partner angry with good intentions. So he turned to his little buddy, and smiled at him.

"Alrighty buddy...Stay up here alright? And do your best to not cause the little lady more trouble than you already have..." he smiled at the Pichu, who nodded his head eagerly, but how much attention he was actually paying was hard to say. Especially when he leapt from Amor's shoulder, and into the tree, and began darting across the branches knocking the berries down, and into their basket. Adontis seemed to like the girl, so he would humor the little guy, and let him spend some time with the girl who had hair similar to his. It was amusing to say the least, but if it made him happy.

"So Lilith do you live near here? Or are you just passing through like us?" he asked her curiously as he plucked more berries off the lower reaches for himself. After all while they were helping out, it would be nice to meet some of the other locals that lived in this region. Though his thought was interrupted by an excited Adontis who leapt from the tree, and back on to his shoulder with a very large oran berry.

"Pichu Pi! Pi Pi Chu!" He exclaimed excitedly as he held it up triumphantly, and without a second of hesitation he began to eat the entire thing greedily. Amor wasn't quick enough to stop him as he devoured it like a black hole.

"Adontis...We're not suppose to eat them as we pick them..." Amor was at a loss for words as he stared at Adontis whose cheeks were stained blue by the berry, and was just shaking his head happily from the after taste. "What am I going to do with you..." he laughed a little, and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the berry juice from Adontis's cheeks. "I uh...Can sympathize with you having a troublemaker Pokemon..." he chuckled at Lilith.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Baby pokemon are in a league of their own, always eager to satisfy their curiosity and earn praise from their trainers in their own little ways. It is because they aren't privy to the shadows that they thrive in the sunlight, exuding positivity and love for everything in this world. But the moment that they're exposed to the monsters...

Lilith acknowledges the Pichu's willingness to cooperate with a soft smile, one so rarely seen that Hex even stops his rampage to do a double take. Grabbing a handful of berries, the Mimikyu hops on over, gently placing them into her basket before tugging at the seams of her skirt, his shadowy arms reaching out as if asking to be carried.

"Passing through mostly... Never like staying in one place for too long..." And she complies with his little request, scooping the fairy up into her arms and placing him on her shoulder. "Once you get too familiar with your environment, things start getting boring..."

Or dangerous, she should say. Familiarity does breed a false sense of security, a feeling that she hasn't let crawl under her skin ever since her trust had been ripped to shreds.

"At least he's comfortable enough to be mischievous around you..." Watching Adontis commit his little crime draws a snicker from the girl, a certain playfulness shining through as she notes the way Hex seems to be eyeing the berries up high. With steady hands and a quick tiptoe, Lilith manages to lift the Mimikyu just high enough for him to grasp onto the branches of another tree, keeping a watchful eye on his balance as he pulls himself up.

"A berry for every 5 that you pick, deal?"

Hex let out a strange bark, a vigorous flopping of his head indicative of the need to up her price.

"Fine, and a slice of chocolate cake after all this."

He nodded at the girl as she explained she was passing through, and how she didn't like things getting boring, or at least that is what he took from it. Regardless their little mission to help the harvest today was going easily as Adontis kept darting through the trees dumping more berries into their basket. Though Amor caught him snacking on a few stray ones as well, with a resigned sigh he figured he would let him have his fun, after all he couldn't be to upset. Freshly picked berries were delicious, and it wasn't often they got a chance to procure them themselves.

"Well I hope he is comfortable around me...I've had him since he was just an egg. I've had him almost as long as I've had Draco...They were my first two partners, and I trust them implicitly." He stated as if it were fact, there were other pokemon that he had for a while as well, but Adontis, and Draco were definitely his oldest ones. Tapping his cheek as the girl bargained with her Mimikyu for him to behave, Amor just smiled.

"Well if you're going to promise him a cake, and a berry spread after this, why don't we have a picnic when the Harvest is over? We can relax under the sky, and just eat? If you're up for it?" He asked Lilith curiously as he continued to work from tree to tree. Adontis from up in the branches hopped down hearing what he had said, and nodded vigorously.

"Pichu! Pi Pi Chu! Pichu Pi!" He exclaimed trying to get the girl with the same hair as his trainer to agree. It was innocence at it's finest, and Amor just smirked at the little Pokemon.

"Calm down buddy, don't pressure the little lady..." he shook his head, and booped Adontis on the nose.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Though she can't quite say she's had the same experience of getting to raise her pokemon from their moment of hatching, Lilith can somewhat relate to that feeling. It had taken a while for them to open up but once they had gained distance from the grounds that had caged them, the four pokemon had seemed like newborn with their overflowing curiosity and boundless energy. Of course, they had still bitten and scratched her, remained wary of her touch even as she fed and sheltered them. But she hadn't minded in the slightest, always taking their reactions in stride as she continued to chisel away the walls they had put up.

"A picnic, huh..." While part of her did wish to get going as soon as the harvest was over, the sharp gleam in Hex's eyes beg her to agree to the proposal, his void-like eyes staring down from the tree tops as he wiggles his head eagerly. Picking yet another berry and adding it to her stash, Lilith sighs, throwing her plans right out of the window as she concedes.

"Well... if Hex really wants it, then I guess it can't hurt..."

He smiled at the little Mimikyu as it seemed to plead with the girl in it's own way to want to take part in the picnic, and she relented in a similar manner that he would to Adontis. At her acceptance Amor began scanning the orchard they were in for a clearing in which they could have a picnic. It didn't take him very long, and with a smile on his lips he pointed to it walking forward. Taking the basket of berries with him to pass off to one of the people organizing the harvest. They had done enough for the day, it wouldn't hurt to take the rest of the day off, and lounge around.

"We worked hard enough already...We can relax until it's time to go home." He stretched out as he walked to the clearing where they would have their quaint little picnic, and laze the day away. Amor had been training himself hard at home in between trying to secure a more economic foothold in this region. Walter wouldn't let him get rusty, and for that he was thankful, it also helped him keep his mind off of other things. Things he didn't really want to think about, he was always at his best when he was focused on his goals. To much time to think always spelt trouble for him.

"Besides with the berry spread we are given, they will have more than enough to eat, and we can make a few items for ourselves, and if needed I can fly to town on Draco to pick up more stuff, and bring it back for us. So I think we are going to have a great picnic..." he nodded to Lilith, and Adontis. It was okay to relax every once in a while...Or that is what he told himself.

[attr="class","hanatext"]What would Rubia have said if she were the one here instead of Hex? The Wooloo might have given Lilith a nudge, offered her the chance to make her own decisions and not have made as much of a fuss if she had turned down the invitation. As for Yule or Eclipse, she's sure that the wily mischief-making twins would have found some way to stumble into someone else's picnic if it meant an abundance of food and sweet treats to be had.

Seemingly motivated by the new prospect of a picnic, Hex picks up his pace significantly, dropping berry after berry into her basket without missing a single beat. Soon enough, her basket is also full enough to call it a day, a triumphant screech echoing through the clearing as the excitable Mimikyu jumps down to join her in turning in the goods.

Though Amor speaks of many possibilities, Lilith can only provide a mere nod in return, slipping Hex yet another berry in hopes of pacifying him for the time being. Whatever they choose to do to acquire food, they should probably do it fast.

For the hungrier a gluttonous Mimikyu, the grumpier it gets.
