The power behind the blows the two exchange is terrifying up close, and there is part of him that hurts to see Sage push himself so far for this. This was not the friendly battles most trainers did, and it hurt him to put his pokemon through this. But Sage has been with him since near the start of his time as a Ranger and was no stranger to these types of battles. Poachers more than willing to go in for a kill and so training needed to be adjusted. But despite the training its clear that Sage has been doing this for not even a year. Where as Razz knows this Nidoking as been by the other's side since he was a kid. [break][break]

So its almost comes as no surprise as Chesnaught is sent flying back into the wall, out cold, "Sa-Chesnaught!" he calls for his pokemon in worry because he was not the monster he was raised to be anymore. He has to correct himself to not use their nickname as Razz does follow to check on him. Make sure he is still breathing as he ignores the cheering crowd around them. [break][break]

A small 'tch' escapes him when the other seems to demand his name. Razz just taps on the mask where his chin would be in response, "If I just give you my name then what's the point of the mask?" he's giving attitude, something he would never dream he'd be able to do to who was once his superior. Something in his head is yelling at him for not falling in line, but he isn't that same kid anymore. Right now he is a ranger undercover to find those behind this ring. Though maybe he could use this?[break][break]

"Besides whose asking?" he's not looking for a name, he knows it, the announcer called it so that means nothing to him. He wants to know who this man says he is to see what he wants. And honestly? Razz just needs that extra second to think of a name.

That causes him to stiffen up. While Rocket's Hoenn was no longer secret just the fact that Beckett came and dropped the name as if it were nothing. Investing into this mask was probably the best thing he's done in weeks, as he wasn't sure he could keep up with hiding his expressions around the other. Not right now at least. [break][break]

"You can call me Ashton, though I would think you want this more a private conversation? Get yourself healed up?" as he says this he gestures toward the crowed and the announcers calling them out of the ring. Thankfully there is no after taste in his mouth this time, perhaps it was his wording? With that he would return Sage to his pokeball before heading toward the exit.

[attr="class","beck"]the calls of the announcer ushers them out of the pit. he recalls the stomping nidoking, saving the crowd from more tremors, and disappears back into the tunnel.

surprisingly, the battle tent has a first aid station set up. he strolls over, sits down, and allows them to tend to the two pins stuck in his shoulder. it takes a good fifteen, maybe twenty minutes, before he's stitched and bandaged up.

it takes him less to find ashton.

While Theo spends some time getting himself healed, Razz almost surprised how willing the other was to try and talk to him with the damn pin missiles in his arm. God damn psycho paths every last one of them. Okay maybe he was being harsh there but there was still a lot of resentment Razz carried these days toward old Rocket. [break][break]

While the other is in first aid Razz uses the time in the bathroom to wash his face clean and cool himself off from having the mask on. Whelp time to deal with it all over. It may have been a long time but he act he forces a smile as he tries to think more of this 'Ashton' alter ego before the mask is back on and he exits the restroom. [break][break]

Its not long before Theo is there to confront him again. "My ma a bit, but I also got a lot of anger issues shit like this helps resolve," he is going to drink so much water when he's done here he can feel it.

"She was just some trainer who got knocked up too early in life not something I would think people of your rep would be interested in, but then again I'd never think I'd catch interest either what's Rocket doing coming to shows like this?" he could do these questions right? Was he coming off to arrogant? Though he feels too late to go a more obedient route. He could act, he tells himself once more to encourage himself, though he really wished he had Salem here to help calm his nerves.

There is a small pause there from him. Was that really something they didn't do even in this place? Fucking hell, was slipping back into the old glove just that easy for him that he would miss a detail like that? He'll hate himself for it late though, at least the mask hides his emotions.
