"How old are they?" He asks the man, slightly emboldened, leaning over to grab him again. "Can't be too old from the looks of you... five? six? Younger?"

He hums, tapping his chin with the tip of his blade, as if thinking.

"You know, I bet the force it would take me to break your arm... could probably snap their little necks pretty easy. What do you think?"

If the man sings like a bird, Chu-e doesn't actually know what he's looking for. He was thrown into this blind. Only THEO BECKETT would know.

he steps forward, places a hand on choi's shoulder, and beckons for him to stand. there's a subtle look of approval on his face — his words confirm it.

"good job, choi."

There's still that something there, in Chu-e's eyes, but he nods.

Like a flower looking for the sun, he soaks in the approval, no matter how small.

"Thank you, sir."

Later, when he's in his dirty little shared apartment space, he'll go to the bathroom and puke.
