the two men tumbled over one another, their fists, knees and even heads were weapons. a particularly troubling right hook has greyson feeing dazed, but he follows it up with an elbow into the man's throat. as he gasps for air, greyson pulls at the guard's belt, removing a tazer that he quickly turns against the owner. the smell of burning flesh and a small spasm later, and he's out; spit pouring down his chin like a newborn.

he slowly falls over to his side, breathing heavily, nursing multiple wounds that wound have him aching for days. iron overwhelms his sense of taste and he spits out a small glob of blood, the cut on his lip staining his teeth and clothes a dark shade of crimson. he takes a moment, just one, to collect himself before he's on his feet again to assess the situation. that's when he feels the marble sized pieces of hail pouring from the sky like a wound.

he sighs, eyes taking everything in.

one robot was missing entirely. it's fate left to the force of gravity, sab's attack having had it completely removed it from play. meanwhile, qes, the mareep, stood triumphant over hers, smoke rising ominously from it's corpses. that left one. on the other side, the last rocket member's uniform was in shreds and z was circling back for another strike. he wasn't going to make it. greyson needed to act.

"hey! over here!" he yelled over the falling ice and chaos. the man looked up, pausing for just a moment. it was enough. the corviknight ascended on him like death itself. with a wingspan twice the man's size, his massive form spelled only doom for his enemies. when it was over, the other man was unconscious. after all of that, this part of the plan was a success. he truly didn't look forward to the shit show that was inside.

"over there, please."

one of abomasnow's arms extends out into a WOOD HAMMER. it whips through the air before slamming down, crushing the robot against the earth.

"thank you."

and with that, they continue their advance.

greyson doubled over, hands atop his knees as he caught his breathe. he slid his thumb over the cut on his lip, staining it scarlet. he spit again just to clear his mouth of any residual iron and turned his attention to the only door on the roof. posturing fully upright, one arm over his head to block in the incoming hail, he moved towards it.

returning mareep and hatenna, his hand reached the knob and turned. z's heavy metallic form landed on the exterior and watched him from above. as he stepped inside, his blood and body froze.

voices. echoing through the stairwell. their heavy, quick-footed stomping indicating they were coming up. and fast.

fuck.

he closed the door and took a step back. had they heard him? was this a watch relief? he could only wait and pray there weren't too many.

once again, the mantra entered his mind. repeating like a digit of pi.

'no death... no death...'

COWARDICE

INSIDE THE WAREHOUSE, all manner of things can be seen. Half-hatched Pokemon eggs, electrical wiring, IV drips and vials of miscellaneous fluid—although you are pretty sure you can identify some by the coloration—can be seen set in organized chaos all around. Still, crates and boxes act as labyrinth walls.

In the center of the warehouse, scientists conduct experiments on a poor Kecleon, forcing it to change typing with mysterious gases.

"cover our approach, please."

a HAZE rises off the ground, floating up to surround them in a translucent cloud of aqua. she begins her approach, not bothering to be particularly stealth about it.

with the flick of his hand he returns the corviknight to it's ball. in moments, a gengar appears.

"put them to sleep once they come through."

when the rocket watch reliefs come, coking and joking with one another, the gengar quickly puts them to sleep with a well-timed HYPNOSIS. they don't even realize they've been hit before they're sleeping. for good measure, to make them suffer a little, gengar uses DREAM EATER and induces nightmares.

making his way down the stairs, slowing as he nears the bottom, he finds himself on a long metal platform looking down at the rest of the warehouse. he fails to spot aria, but sees the HAZE slowly filling the room. a number of armed rocket guards begin to look around in alarm, and confusion.

greyson simply continues down the platform to get into a better position.

[attr="class","aria"]having assessed their situation, she decides on a plan that would hopefully allow them to avoid a fight. she settles by one of the crates, placing a hand on it before whispering to her pokemon.

"try and stun them, frosmoth."

the bug-type nods, then flutters forward through the HAZE. a coat of yellow powder floats off its wings as it flaps them. it spreads a STUN SPORE across the vicinity, looking to paralyze anyone within it.

greyson moves quickly down the metal walkway, not paying attention to the noise he was making. speed over stealth.

"lets make this quick. put em to sleep."

a HYPNOSIS echoes outwards and below, layering on top of the STUN SPORE, catching anyone that managed to escape.
