for the record, it ain't five minutes, tops.

the rest of the run takes a good seven, maybe ten, and he pulls to a stop in front of their destination. with his hands on his knees, he pants, breathing quickly in a depserate attempt to catch his breath.

At least, it’s not for Angelo because he pulls ahead smoothly on his bike and gets there in two. [break][break]

“No,” he breathes smugly when Danny comes jogging up the path, out of breath and sweating like someone’s dunked him with a bucket. “But you did get here before the Poochyena. Just.” He snarks, holding onto their bags with the eggs, shaking a little as they appear close to hatching. [break][break]

A slightly sweaty palm pats Danny on the back after putting their bags safely on the ground, grin taking on a slightly less amused curl. [break][break]

“You did good, though! How ‘bout we get you some water or ice or something. My treat.”
