as the lucario and tapu locked eyes the moment the legendary felt a drop of sweat roll down its cheek before getting hit square in the head with a zen headbutt that send the lucario flying along the ground and crumpling into the dirt. as it came to a stop it willed whatever strength it could muster to push itself to its hands and knees and glare at the legendary pokemon and raise a paw up to the sky as droplets of life dew sprinkled out over the steel dog to help regain some of its energy and heal the purple bruise that was starting to grow on his forehead from the psychic attack. as he healed himself he swiped his paw to try and hit a few of his fellow teammates with his healing water in order to keep them as healthy as he could despite his own weakness.

on the electrical side of the battle simba watched as the heliodisk swapped places with his legendary friend only to turn his sights on the zeraora as it came charging forward with a bulldozing final rush. however the zeraora lit up a light bulb in its brain as it was going to take a page out of its fellow electric opponent and turn this fight into a rotation battle as it jumped back, turning into a bolt of lightning as it grabbed the nearby mismagius and volt switched with the ghost type.

the ghostly witch didn't take too kindly from being grabbed and thrown at the enemy however the bulldoze wouldn't have much effect on her thanks to her levitating just above the ground enough for it to move out of the way and let out a mystical fire scream that looked to engulf and burn the heliodisk.

noctis wasn't having a good time either as as soon as it came out of the blizzard of flower petals it found itself hitting its beak against a shield propped up by the grass type that suddenly stung the bird back as spikes erupted from the shield and send the bird to the ground and knocking it out of the air. the corviknight flapped wildly with its wings beating against the ground as it pushed itself up to a sitting upright position to take one look at the marcatus and screech at it before its body let out a glow that traveled to its beak that erupted into a steel beam at the grass type. the beam did not last long however as as soon as it was fired it slowly diminished as the recoil damage from using up the steel along its body left the bird so weak that it fainted where it sat and fell to its side.

and then there was one.

it was a dangerous one however as the legendary pokemon called upon its power to make the vegetation around everyone suddenly grow at an alarming rate. goodwitch took this time to hide herself within the shadows as a bundle of thorns looked to overtake her but her phantom force allowed her escape just in the nick of time. her teammates weren't so lucky.

as the lucario finished his healing he saw the tapu suddenly come ramming towards him with his horns drawn and the lucario wasn't able to think of a way to counter it other than...well to counter it. really all he was going for was a reversal as he let the legendary crash into him but quickly grabbed onto its horns and dug its feet into the ground as it was pushed back so it couldn't get knocked down as it looked to swing the bull by the horns and slam it into the ground.

the zeraora was probably having a worse time as it had to deal with a large tree coming its way. "simba! let's show them our real power!" kaz screamed out as he dropped into a pose and both he and his pokemon's body began to glow as the zeraora suddenly let out a roar and charged at the tree as his body exploded into lightning and a rapid fire series of punches was all that it took to break the tree apart into splinters thanks to its treuno destroda z move that it was hoping to save for later. however it wasn't enough to destroy it completely and the cat was still overwhelmed by the side of the tree and found himself pinned under its remains as it fell on top of him and drowning in a pile of splinters from a second earlier.

as the foliage began to die down the zeraora let out a yowl of victory as it pumped its fists up into the air and earned a pat on the shoulder from its lucario ally as it bumped elbows with the steel fighter. all the while the mismagius let out a sigh of relief as she flopped down onto the ground to catch her breath. meanwhile kazimir was rubbing the underside of his nose at zac's praise and question about the move that finished their little battle.

"liked that did ya? ever since i got simba he's been a ball of energy so one day i decided to try and see just how much energy he had in him. turns out its a lot, and battling is a good place to expend it all. one day i was having him try out some new moves when suddenly i found myself kinda copying him. trying to get into his head to feel how a zeraora would move about. that's when i had him gather up as much electricity in his fist and let loose a thunder punch. well that was the intent anyway, but i guess we both got so in sync during training i sort of rubbed off on him and well...that move happened. like a thousand thunder punches just rained down from the sky and nearly electrocuted me and eveyrone else on my team."

he looked back at his cat and gave it a smile when it wasn't looking. "we don't use it much but its a nice little trick up the sleeve. i don't think anyone else with one of them have ever reached that kind of power before. always gotta stay a step ahead of the competition, 'specially now am i right?" then he looked over to tapu bulu. he had to admit he felt a little sorry for putting the legendary pokemon through the wringer like that, guess he and his team didn't know their own strength just yet. "sorry about bulu there. hopefully it kinda wakes him up to taking battles a little more seriously. its a strong one but...doesn't seem to really care about battling does it? but hey if ya ever want to put it through some more training i'm way more than happy to help out. ought to be fun y'know?"
