The promise of food was what lured a Wimpod from hiding under one a wooden partition. Plus, Chu-e was kind of the only one here right now. He tended to come early in the new Safari Seasons and get all his business done. It scuttled over and stated to nibble on a few crumbs that Chu-e had dropped in the sand; proud of himself that he had only flinched a little when the Lilligant pulled back her (empty) fishing line.

"Hey lil bro." The Wimpod squeaked and went to hide under a nearby beach chair, which just had Chu-e raising an eyebrow behind his sunglasses. A piece of his pork cutlet, the outside fried to a crispy perfection, was plucked from his lunch. Sitting it on a napkin, he sat it down on the ground and then went back to relaxing.

The Wimpod, eventually, came back out, the temptation of food too strong. It nibbled on the offered treat, sighing to itself in contentment. When it was done, Chu-e leaned over and gave it another piece. This time the Wimpod didn't flinch away as hard (though it did wince, at first, at the small pat the human have him, as if he was expecting to be hit instead).

"Stick with me and I'll feed you whatever, cutie."

CATCHING WIMPOD

Chu-e had just moved the Wimpod into his lap when Lilligant let out a cry. She stood up and started to pull on her line... only for a few moments later a purple wailmer to surface. She yelped, shook herself out, and shot a Magical Leaf at the water type as she had been instructed.

Chu-e had hopped up, placing the Wimpod down in his seat, and pulled out one of the Safari balls. He flung it at the Wailmer hoping to catch. Needed more water types.

CATCHING

Lilligant had barely had time to sit down after that excitement when her fishing rod started to tug again.

She almost freaked out, pulled hard, and from the water a Dratini was flung onto the sand. The poor, confused, pink pokemon writhed for a bit before coiling up and righting itself.

The Dratini didn't look particularly bothered, at least, so he picked up what he and the Wimpod hadn't eaten and walked over to the dragon type. The food was offered first, then a small pat given on the Dragon's head. "Sorry about that. She got excited." The Lilligant, for her part, did seem a bit bashful as she cast her line again.

Chu-e talked to the pokemon while it ate, making sure it was okay. When it was finished he went to put his stuff back in his bad only to find a snaky tail wrapping around his ankle. Turning in confusion, he sighed at how the dragon type looked up at him with puppy dog eyes.

"You too? Geeze, is my cooking that good?" He laughed to himself but offered the pokemon one of the safari balls.

One last tug of the line and Lilligant finally had something she could keep on the line- an Inkay that kept a stubborn latch onto the hook.

"Hell yeah. You did it." Taking out his phone, Chu-e took a picture of his pokemon standing proudly next to her catch.

But, shouldn't let the poor thing suffer, so he nodded and she quickly knocked the Inkay flat with a Magical Leaf. Chu-e tossed the safari ball quick. This would be his last catch of the day, so he went ahead and started to pack up his things.
