Angelo’s eyes snag onto a familiar flash of a blade approaching in his peripherals, only the challenge Skyler presents is not one that intimidates him with its sharpness. It surges electric within his blood, motivating him to push the Braviary – push himself – faster with a squeeze of thigh muscles and an eager lean into the stinging wind. [break][break]
The exhilaration of racing neck and neck with the captain is addicting; greedily inhaled like oxygen. [break][break]
It's almost as sweet as claiming victory over her. [break][break]
“What was it I said last night? About kicking your ass up and down the beach?” His heart thunders rapidly in his chest as he slips off Braviary’s back, teeth flashing wild and wide. Completely ungracious in his victory as he turns to Skyler with a look of triumph.[break][break]
“I told you so.”[break][break]
Angelo drinks up the words that drip like honey off his tongue, savouring them not unlike when he captures her breathless moans and pleas in the dark on his lips. His smile is sharp, just the slightest hungry like those instances, too… [break][break]
A step is taken, following the pull that tugs magnetically towards Skyler, tempted to squeeze her in a tauntingly tight embrace or press patronising kisses to her face, just to watch her burn in rage. Only for his leg to nearly buckle when a foot sinks into the sand, Angelo’s muscles losing strength for a brief stumble. He bites out a curse. [break][break]

And 'a little', they’d find out when Angelo clumsily shrugs off his shirt in his adrenaline high, is an understatement. [break][break]

“Was worth it, just to see you make that face.” The Champion of the Skies would proclaim later without a shred of regret, ocean blues twinkling in drowsy, amused satisfaction as he lies face down in bed; brushing his words and lips against his loser’s toned stomach.
