A real battle against Killian Decker? Honestly, Lex was thrilled. It was exciting and playful. She stood across the field from him with a broad grin paint across her red lips. She hoped her little black bikini wouldn’t be too distracting. Lex dipped her sunglasses to glare at him with playful intensity, “You better not,” she teased back, pushing the glasses back up over her amber eyes, “You know I like it rough,” The Spectrier behind her snorted and stamped a phantom hoof until the hot sand. Finger curled around the beast’s muzzle that hung over her shoulder, “Get ready,” she whisper, giving the equine a little kiss.

War phased through Lex who shivered at the cool touch. It tossed its head, rearing up in a dramatic display of enthusiasm before striking the sand with force. The ghostly whisps of mist that danced around the Spectreir flared up, glowing an intense purple as it readied itself with an AGILITY. Jolteon follow suit beside the legendary, curled her claws into the sand as AGILITY caused electricity to crack and pop along the length of her body, fur standing on end with static.

“Your move, babe.”

Even with the crowd, Killian didn't bother to hide his leering. Did she have to wear that bikini? Keeping his mind focused on the battle was going to be difficult when Lex looked so delicious.

"Oh, I'll give it to you rough, gorgeous." during and after the battle.

Lex made the first move, but it wasn't an offensive one. It figures she'd go with something that boosted speed. "Thermite, use Fire Spin. Poipole, go ahead and think up some Nasty Plots."

Flareon dashed, leaving behind a trail of flame as he moved across the sand. He ran in a circular motion around the horse and its spiky companion. The fire left behind in his footsteps erupted into a flaming twister around the pair of Pokemon.

From next to Killian, the Poipole allows its thoughts to run wild with nasty and violent urges.

Crowd? What crowd? At least for this battle, her attention was fully focused on him. He was looking, she could tell. She loved it, her grin spreading even wider at his comment.

The problem with fighting Killian Decker was that she’s predictable. He knows all her little tricks and the way she strategies. Of course, she knew Killian well too. But unlike her, she switched things up every once in a while. Lex didn’t, she’s a one trick pony which is honestly why she agreed to something like this tournament. Lex needed the practice, desperately.

“Phantom!” War obeyed. As the Flareon dashed forward with a Fire Spin, the equine stepped forward and into the spectral plane, disappearing from sight and avoiding the wrath of the fiery vortex.

Jolteon, on the other hand, was consumed in a circle of flames. The electric-type winced and growled at the Flareon as the fire buffeted her dual colored coat, “Slow him down,” The command is headed with a nod. Claws raked against the sand as another wave of electricity coursed over her body, stimulating her muscles with another AGILITY. Dark eyes peered through flames at the other eeveelution before the Jolteon dashed forward towards the Flareon with impressive speed. Her hair stood on end as a silent, numbing wave of electricity pulsed towards her chosen target.

Killian Decker

One out of two wasn't bad. While Spectrier was gone, Killian could focus his attention on the Jolteon. "Faster!" Flareon quickened his pace, prancing forward with renewed vigor. The fiery tornado flared, peppering Thermite's fellow eeveelution from all angles.

Focused on keeping the twister going, Jolteon's Thunder Wave caught him off guard. Electricity ran through him in painful waves. Thermite stumbled, skidding along the sand as his muscles stiffened from the current.

Flareon is Paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

Praise dances on the tip of his tongue, but Killian chokes it back. He opts instead for an approving glance in Lex's direction.

"Be on your guard Poipole." he orders, "Once Spectrier reappears, hit with a Dragon Pulse." the Ultra Beasts nods. Its eyes scan the battlefield nervously for its target.

Fire whipped around Jolteon like a tornado of flames. Heat buffeted her coat, eliciting a wince of pain even as she advanced after the Thunder Wave, “Switch!” A short, curt command changed the Jolteon’s target. Dark eyes left the Flareon and focused on the Poipole. The strategy was to distract the Poipole from Spectrier since Killian was nice enough to let her know what it’s next move was going to be. Lex smiled from across the field, blowing him a small kiss.

Leaping forward, flame tornado following, the Jolteon rushed towards the Poipole. Her sharp fur quivered, eyes glowing a bright green before a series of sharp, pointed barbs shot out from her fur towards the Ultra Beast.

War heard the command from the phantom plane. Their spectral form moved from the Poipole towards the paralyzed Flareon. Shifting its form, the equine leapt from ghostly world back onto the hot sand, rearing up to strike the Flareon with PHANTOM FORCE.

Killian Decker

He'd given her an advantage unintentionally. Maybe Killian was more distracted than he thought. He'd be upset with himself, but it's hard when she's blowing kisses his way. Temptation again bites at the back of his mind. It begs him to say something witty and flirtatious. Killian forces himself to focus, eyes narrowing on the battlefield.

The tide of battle shifts, and Poipole doesn't have the training to adjust. Best to worry about the Pokemon that does. Two quick whistles through puckered lips signal Flareon to defend. Static runs down the feline's orange coat as he raises.

Thermite's ready the moment War reappears. Giant hooves slam down to hit him but impact the sand as he leaps back. Fighting through the sting of paralysis, Flareon quickly counterattacks. His hindlegs kick off the ground as he lunges into the air and at Spectrier's throat for a deadly Bite.

"Jolteon," Killian looks to the feline, "Fall back to Lex's side." an order. Taking advantage of the fact he'd gifted the Pokemon to Lex wasn't exactly fair, but Killian needed the edge right now.

Blue eyes dart back to the Poipole. Jolteon's Pin Missiles jet out from the beast's body like thorns. It winces in pain, on the brink of tears. "You're really going to take that, Poipole? Show her who's in charge." Killian's firm but encouraging.

The ultra beast steels its nerves and shakes the needles from its body. Bloodborne tries its best to be intimidating, but its narrowed eyes and weak scowl fail to convince. Regardless, Poipole fires a beam of draconic energy from its mouth.

Steel hooves miss their target and the Spectrier grunts in frustration. It’s ears pin back in defiance, a rough neigh belts out as the Flareon lunges. It’s so caught up in its frustration that the BITE is hard to dodge. It tries, leaping back a step but despite the paralysis the fire-type digs sharp teeth into ghostly flesh. A cry of pain pierces the air. Black ectoplasm oozes from the wound and down the equine’s leg. It drips onto the sand like tar. In a furious effort to dispose of the Flareon, War snorts, driving forward into the sand with its weight in an effort to BULLDOZE the fire-type off.

Huh? The Jolteon perks up at the sound of Killian’s voice after the Pin Missile strike true. She’s met with the unrelenting force of a DRAGON PULSE that forces her into the sand with a yelp, “What the fuck?!” Lex growls, pointing an accusatory finger at her lover, “So not fair,” she’d get him back for that later, “Don’t listen to him, Jolteon, get back up!” The electric-type slowly rises, shaking the sand out of her fur and the baring sharp teeth at the Poipole and Killian, electricity snaps and pops across her body, stimulating her muscles with another AGILITY.

Sharp fangs pierce deep into spectral flesh, filling Flareon's mouth with the taste of ichor. Foul like rotten flesh, it trickles down his throat, and he fights the urge to gag. As he does, the equine's blood spills out the sides of his mouth, dyeing the tuft of fur on his chest a muddled black.

His teeth sink in deeper despite the taste. War reacts violently, slamming Flareon's body into the ground. Thermite's brain bounces against his skull, and he craters deep into the sand. He struggles to recover, electricity sparking down his blood and sand-covered fur. Somehow, Flareon finds the strength to stand.

A deep growl followed by a sudden sizzling fills the air. The moist ichor on Thermite's coat burns as smoke and flames engulf the tiny lion's form. Wild and furious, he steamrolls ahead, a Flaring Blitzing comet ready to slam War back.

Killian chuckles, "Never said I'd play fair." he throws a playful wink in her direction before focusing back on the battle. Poipole's still nervous despite actually landing a blow. Jolteon's continuingly increasing speed is going to be a problem too. Better play things safe for now. "If you don't act, it's going to hurt you. Do you want that, or do you want to inflict some pain yourself?" Truthfully, Poipole wanted neither, but it had little choice. It aims at Jolteon with the needle at the top of its head. Toxic ooze launches out, covering the sand in purple sludge and attempting to do the same to the feline.

War’s retaliation for the BITE is swift and powerful. Merciless in his efforts, the specter drives the Flareon into the sand with a powerful BULLDOZE. It’s meant to shock and force the fire-type into submission. War is a vengeful and relentless spirit. That’s why a grunt of frustration rattles through its throat as the Flareon rises from its sandy crater like a phoenix, ablaze with bright, burning fire.

The mythical pokemon stomps one of its hooves, kicking up a burst of sand. It challenges, provokes the Flareon forward. Being the mischievous ghost it is, a wicked grin pulls across its muzzle before it disappears, leaving the Flareon lunging towards nothing but thin air.

PHANTOM FORCE. Cheap? Yes. Does War care? No.

Lex’s lips curl into more of a growl than a smile. She’d get him back for that . . . eventually. Her stubborn, competitive nature starts creeping in. She doesn’t respond to Killian, instead she turns her attention back to the pokemon battling between them. She watched War disappear again. It’s good to know she doesn’t have to coach the Spectrier, it seems to be able to take care of itself. Jolteon, on the other hand, needs a bit of direction.

The AGILITY to recover from Killian’s dirty trick was clever, at least it wasn’t a total waste of a move. The electric-type attempts to dodge the Poipole’s TOXIC but the attack is wide spread and splashes, not only across the sand, but also across the pokemon’s yellow and white fur. It cries out in pain, singed by the corrosive substance that begins to leak into its veins.

Frustration is written across Lex’s features but partially hidden by the black sunglasses. A finger points towards the Flareon, “Copy cat!” Hopefully, the Jolteon could make some hits count before it was consumed by the toxic.

The kit turns, eyes narrowed on its fire-type kin. Lunging forward, the Jolteon opens it’s mouth. A caustic, thick, purple sludge expels across the space between them, looking to consume the opponent in a similar way it was poisoned.

Killian Decker

War vanishes, and Thermite passes through the cloud of shadows left behind. Paws skid along the ground, turning sand to glass with the heat from his body. He comes to a sideways stop near Killian's feet. The once intense flames that surround him smolder into smoke. Angry, Flareon vents his frustrations with a snarl. What cowardly tactics. When Spectreir returned from the void, Thermite would be ready and waiting.

The sneer on her lips and lack of response make Killian's jaw clench. Though the sunglasses obscure her face, the tightness in Lex's shoulder speaks of frustration. His smile fades with the tension that fills the air. He'd really gotten under her skin. She was going to start taking this seriously now.

Unblinking, the embers of passion dance behind blue hues. Inside Killian's chest, a fire begins to burn. A blanket across a freshly made bed, its warmth spreads through him. His blood boils with eager excitement and pride as the heat rises.

"Give it to me, Little Dove." a silent demand, "Show me those talons." he'd suffer their wrath happily.

The piercing sound of Killian's whistle cuts through the air. Two quick breathes pushed through puckered lips signal Flareon to dodge. Lex pointed, and that was her mistake.

Muscles tight from paralysis, Thermite has to use Quick Attack to barrel out of the toxic slimes path. There's no time to aim, so he charges straight ahead.

Seizing the opportunity provided by Jolteon's shifting focus, Poipole goes on the offensive. Violet sparks of electricity run down its arm like a slinky down a flight of stairs. Bloodborne takes aim, purple lightning arching from its hands and across the beach. Despite its appearance, Venoshock is toxic in nature. The toxins flowing through Jolteon's veins act as a lightning rod for the attack. Drawing the poisonous bolt to him for a deadly strike.

After a failed attempt to destine her Flareon to the same fate, Jolteon skids to a halt on the sand. The pokemons breathing has significantly increased. Her heart raced, which didn’t help. The poison burns, seeping into her veins like water in a tree’s roots. It makes her cringe and wince at the sudden sensation. The sparks that dance across her fur dull, and her moment of pause is enough to let the Poipole’s VENOSHOCK find her. The poison draws the strange power to her like a magnet. There’s a sharp yelp of pain before the Jolteon’s legs give out. She’s weak, barely hanging in there. The poison would finish the job soon enough. Jolteon doesn’t have the strength to attack, but she can at least promote War’s effort with HELPING HAND.

When the phantom emerges from the dark portal it’s beside the Poipole, not the Flareon. A pale pink horn rises from its skull. With a powerful push, it cranes its neck forward, striking at the Poipole with PSYCHO CUT boosted by the Jolteon’s Helping Hand.

A singular focus on Poipole proves effective. The tiny Poison-type doesn't much of a chance against the boosted assault of its fellow legend. Sharp psychic blades slash across fresh, and the tiny bloodsucker is left crying in pain.

Poor thing.

Its body drops to the floor.

Flareon, on the other hand, roaring to go. Ready to take a shot at ramming itself into the ghost horse with Flare Blitz.

War’s PSYCHO CUT lands on it’s mark. The beast feels no remorse, but Lex winces at the Poipole’s painful cry. She feels bad about knocking out the young thing. She bites her lips, watching its small body drop to the floor. At least it is over.

Joltoen is quick to follow. The potent poison proves too much for it and the electric-type and her body slumps to the ground, being knocked unconscious.

Then there were two.

Lex watches the Spectrier anxiously. It relished in i’s fatal strike. War rears up, thrusting its hooves forward as an eerie, GRIM NEIGH pierces through the air. It grows stronger, a haunting power pulsing through its body. Unfortunately, that will matter little.

The Flareon ignites, flames dance through the air. It lunges forward in a flash of light. The Spectrier, still coming down from its victorious high, doesn’t stand a chance. The FLARE BLITZ strike hard. If the ghost had breath, it would have lost it. War loses its balance, falling to the sand with a thunderous crash. A piercing cry of pain echoes through the air. It strikes a chord in Lex. It struggles to rise.

Panic. She can’t lose the beast she just found. A pokeball suddenly appears in her hand and light engulfs the Spectrier, “That’s enough,” she then returns the fainted Jolteon, forfeiting to match to Killian, “You win,” she grins across the field, returning both spheres to her waist, “very impressive,” she smiles, stepping forward. A familiar salacious smile crosses her lips, “Come get your prize.”
