Eva happily cleared a small part of her schedule to help Matias with some Officer training after their last conversation. With Blade’s TELEPORT, it made things a bit easier to schedule although she much prefers to ride her Salamence. Taking to the skies is much more fun than popping in and out of places. The Gallade trails behind them attentively. He regards Matias with subtle recognition and appreciation for getting Eva out of the lab.

“Always a pleasure,” she grins, “Just like old times,” she gives him a playful nudge before they approach the tent and her posture straightens into something more serious.

“Well, did you teach them how to avoid it first?” there’s a somewhat playful aspect to her tone. She doesn’t doubt he did, “What are we teaching them today?”

there's comfort in familiarity, he realizes that much holds true.

"i did. we're teaching them how to subdue the enemy."

he thinks. he can't really remember. but he shrugs the thought away as they approach the tent. a slide slides through the flap, holding it open for her.

"ready when you are."

inside, a small group of what look to be officers are sat waiting for them. among them look to be maybe one or two civilians, judging by their casual workout gear as opposed to the officers' uniforms.

Eva nods and ducks into the tent beneath his arm. The attention of the officers and few civilians immediately turns towards the two and the Gallade that followed behind Matias. Blade takes a quiet place in the corner and out of the spotlight, but he won’t go far. The Gallade is still painfully protective over the blonde since their excursion. Annoyingly protective, really.

Before speaking, she pauses, turning towards Matias curiously, “With pokemon or in hand to hand combat?” she asks in a hushed tone, realizing he didn’t specify which. She assumed with pokemon but if Matias wanted to grapple they could get down and dirty.

[attr="class","matias"]though he's meant to be leading the course, he takes a step back for eva to make her introductions, only to be caught off guard by her question. he steps, leaning close to whisper:

"whichever you'd prefer, eva."

Her cheeks flush for a moment before they’re tamed by some sort of demeanor of professionalism. He receives a nod of acknowledgment before she turns to the group, “Alright, thank you for being here today. My name is Major Morales, but you can just call me Eva. I’m sure you already know Sergeant Silph,” it flows off the tongue nicely, “We’re gonna demonstrate it’s not about size in a fight but skill and raw determination,” A little demonstration to inspire and erase stigma before getting into the nitty gritty never did any harm, “Then we’ll get into the pokemon stuff,” Pokemon weren’t always around to protect you anyway.

She’s rusty, but hopefully it came back quickly, “Alright, come on,” she grins, turning towards Matias, at the ready. Blade tenses in the corner, displeased with Eva’s decision.

[attr="class","matias"]he had planned for the former but he doesn't mind this deviation — it shows in the way his lips curl into a grin, playful as she beckons him forward.

"alright."

he wastes little time in shifting into an orthodox stance, leading with his left. he feints a left jab, then shoots low to hook both arms around her legs in an attempt to take her down.

You can’t miss the bright smile that lights up her face when Matias moves forward. It’s the first taste of excitement since the excursions and her craving has been insatiable since. She had a taste of life outside the lab, and she couldn’t get enough of it.

The left jab slips past with a subtle movement back. A light grunt escapes when he makes contact and tries to take her down. Instinct kicks in and her hips and legs drop behind her and leans into it. As she pushes down on the back of his shoulders, an arm attempts to hook around the back of his neck and meet the hand back on her other side in a front head lock. A subtle shift in posture to stand straighter attempts to curl his head down in a gentle guillotine, seeking submission.

[attr="class","matias"]she drops her weight, resisting, then shifts and slides an arm around his neck, suddenly attacking. he feels her forearm press against his throat and pressure only increases when she straightens her posture.

though he could resort to something more forceful, he restrains himself, tapping on her waist once to submit.

after a brief moment, his body straightens back up, grin still prominent on his features. he takes a step back, readies, then meets her gaze.

"again?"

Eva’s not stupid, she knows he could kick her ass. She’s out of practice and he’s about twice her size. For the sake of demonstration, she’s grateful to feel the tap on her waist. Her grip releases and she takes a step back with hands planted on her hips. There’s a little chatter from the peanut gallery but nothing she can make out clearly.

He readies again, she tilts her head for a moment, forgetting about the students watching and smiles. She can feel the Gallade’s consciousness pressing against hers, a plea for her to stop. As usual, she ignores it, “Hell yeah!”

Eva readies and inches closer with a grin. This time, she strikes first with a quick, playful jab to the ribs before dancing back and teasing him with a wink.

[attr="class","matias"]whatever chatter comes from the crowd goes unheard, ignored in favor of the head scientist before him. she attacks, pokes his ribs, then shifts back.

it's her wink that lures him forward. like last time, he throws a left jab, then shoots down low to hook his arms around her thighs. only this time he slides a foot behind her ankle and pushes, tripping her backwards.

he follows, mounting.

“Oh!” she’s caught off guard by the ankle curled behind her foot. Instead of resorting to a similar technique, she finds herself flat on her ass with Matias on top of her. Quite the predicament for a small woman.

Eva doesn’t waste much time. She picks a side, her favorite side – her left. The doctor tries to grab Matias’s right arm while curling her left leg around his right. With a powerful push from her right leg and a thrust of her hips up and over, she attempts to roll Matias onto his back to escape the mount.

[attr="class","matias"]she's small, he's big, so naturally she manages to slip right out from under him. he feels the push against his leg, feels himself about to roll over, so he reaches for her arm, tightens his grip, and pulls her with him, reversing their positions.

with her on top, it leaves him open and vulnerable. but thankfully, this isn't a real fight, so a breathy chuckle escapes him as he lays on his back.

"you're good, eva."

It’s easy for him to pull her along and she finds herself on top. His chuckle elicits as laugh of her own as he leans back. Eva pushes herself to her feet and offers a hand to help him up, “I’m surprised I still remembered any of it, honestly,” It’d been a while since she had done any of that. Perhaps if she practiced more, bryan delarosa wouldn’t have been able to get his hands on her and Mt. Pyre would have ended quite differently.
