After a while with this whole underwater thing he was starting to enjoy it more and more. Liking how he didn't have to pretend he know how to trash talk. Because they were underwater and calling out would lose their breath. [break][break]

The PSYCHIC does what Skyler intends and keeps empoleon from moving much no matter how hard he swam, and even the ICE BEAM hits it's mark and gets a fin. But they were too far ahead, and in the end they reach the shore first. Sharpedo getting up to the surface as they have reached their goal. [break][break]

Looks like his pokemon got their revenge.

The race is over before Skyler realizes it; the next time she blinks Razz and his pokemon have breached through the surface, having reached the beach first. Not too long after, Skyler and her pokemon do the same, the ship captain skillfully hopping down from her Kingdra and out of the surf.

A littany of foul curses words is the first thing Razz hears from his friend as the breathing device leaves her mouth. It's not aimed at Razz as much as it is at the thought of Angelo's teasing when he finds out. And he will, she's sure of it.

Both Kingdra and Starmie flop down onto the sand; Kingdra, being a far more noble loser, gives both the Empoleon and the Sharpedo a nod of respect.

"This tournament is cursed... Cursed!" She plops down next to Razz, drops of salt water falling from her wet hair. "Nice race though. I'll have to fight dirtier next time."
