"...so it would seem."

When something very light landed on his head, he glanced up to look at it. A brow arched and the whimsicott poked it's little head over and gave a soft coo while staring into Sam's eyes. Then the whimsicott booped Sam's snoot and giggled while flailing it's stubby little limbs, cotton wiggling.

Clearly jealous, the toxel at Sam's feet sent an ACID at the whimsicott. It went up, then gave a splat when it hit the whimsicott's cotton. Sam flinched, hearing the ooze hit the whimsicott had him pulling his hands up to take the whimsicott, frowning as the poor thing gave him the cutest little pout.

Then, it suddenly glared death at the toxel before firing off a MOONBLAST.

"Oh geez!"

Sam fussed, dropping the whimsicott, who fluttered along the wind and slowly floated down to the ground. The toxel was cackling.

The whimsicott, on the other hand, climbed back up Sam and took a seat on his shoulder, swinging her limbs and beginning to sing a little whimsicott tune.

Sam wasn't entirely sure what to think, so he just let it happen.

"Guess she's sticking around."

"This is new for me... pokémon don't tend to flock to me."

Still humming, the whimsicott kept a close eye on the toxel that was moving around the beach like a donphan, just rolling in circles. She'd stop every once in a while to inspect a shell, see if it had an owner, and when it came up empty she'd put it in her mouth and then launch it out to sea.

"Then again, I usually deal with ghost types, and I've heard fairy types are notoriously more friendly, or, shy."

He motions toward the popplio to make his point, while the whimsicott inspects Sam's ear curiously, and then plays with some of his hair and coos.

The small whimsicott on his shoulders was still singing until the pink fluffy thing decided to try and hit the little blue clown. Then woosh! The puff was out and the clown was the winner.

She clapped happily as the battle concluded.

Toxel immediately began to clap as well, and it left Sam with an apologetic smile toward Eliora and her new friends.

"Well now I know why the whimsicott liked me. I thinks he has as dark a sense of entertainment and humor as I do."

As if to agree or show he was right, said whimsicott grabbed Sam's profile and gave it a great big smooch. He winced, but accepted the love from his new pokémon nonetheless.

Seeing the water gun had Sam's eyebrows arching up, the whimsicott covering her mouth in a small little gasp, and toxel giving a cackle and admittedly applauding the efforts.

Sam and whimsicott both glared down at toxel and instead of kicking up a fuss, Sam just picked the little purple salamander up and gave her a pat on her head to make her be quiet. Her giggles vibrated his stomach.

"You okay? Why don't we see if there's a towel at any of the festival stands?"
