"Double Team now," Adrian would bark at the fly-scorpion; its body would flicker with a sudden agility before dispersing into a plethora of after-images, allowing it to slip past the set of lustrous wings on either side of the hulking Corviknight running it down.

Maneuvering about-face after making the pass, Gliscor would hold the position, anticipating Corviknight to circle back around for another pass.

Whipping up gale-like winds, Corviknight sent gust after gust of air surging for Gliscor and its array of clones, buffeting them all at once while the true Gliscor swooped low, attempting to fall underneath the raging tempest before pulling back up hard. Its tail charged with a sickly purple shimmer... "It won't work, Gliscor! Use Thief instead!"

Reluctantly obeying its trainer, it would hope to flank Corviknight while its massive wings powered the torrential winds, surging from below before rising up, clipping at its wings with its jagged claws, stealing off with a handful of its lustrous feathers.

While mocking the Corviknight with an outstretched tongue and a fistful of its feathers, it came at him in one fell swoop, landing a decisive blow to its chitinous armor. Its lavender carapace fractured from the strain, and the pokemon grunted with anguish before diving—falling from its aerial vantage. Oh, for the love of...!

As it plummeted the Gliscor struggled to find its bearings before righting itself, once against swooping down and building momentum before rising up, this time ascending from the Corviknight's rear before overtaking them. "Hit 'em hard, Gliscor."

Falling on Corviknight, both its pincers lurched forward, claws clamping, gnashing and tearing at the vulnerable joints, attempting to clip its wings midflight and send it careening to the ground in a grand reversal. That was the idea, anyhow.

C'mon, c'mon—break off! Watching the two of them spiral towards the ground, he became overwhelmed with dread anticipation, feeling the fight had slipped away from him. While it was true the match up neglected to do Gliscor any favors, Adrian was invested in their success, unwilling to surrender. They would just keep pushing.

As they very nearly reached the ground—too close for comfort—the lithe night-glider broke free of their doomed descent, employing agile ACROBATICS to dislodge itself and recover from the imminent landfall just before it and Corviknight's comparatively hulking figure would've slammed the ground in unison. Instead the raven's own weight would be its downfall, encumbering it should it resist inertia. It was a start.

"Don't let up," he urged the leathery winged creature onward.

Gliscor would not let up long enough for this to pass. After its dire urging from Adrian, and the perfect opportunity presented by Corviknight's crash, it would immediately fall upon them. "Now's your chance, while it's grounded!"

Performing ROOST was a move made for the long game, but in this singular instance it would be their turning point. Sand began to encroach on Corviknight's position, clinging to its body and working its way up to its feathers, clogging the joints and eventually swarming the pokemon's steel body. Having lost its type immunity it was now a vulnerable steel type, suffering greatly from the smothering sands.

Hyper Beam? No... Either way, whatever it was meant trouble for them.

"Gliscor, evade it." Another array of DOUBLE TEAM afterimages began to fill up the sky, but the outpouring steel beam pierced through the sky for what seemed too long. One by one a clone would fall from so much as a glancing blow by the eerie attack, causing them to disappear. Among them the real Gliscor would be struck, winded from the punch in its gut before gliding slowly towards the ground.
