to say the building looked dilapidated would be insulting to the word. it was a arceus-damned mess. the flora at the entrance was overgrown and riddled with invasive weeds. no doubt it would need to be cleaned up after they were done here.

but, that was someone else's problem. at least, sure as hell not hers.

Raphael stands on the other's left side. The older man much more comfortable when others were on his right side. "So is the rumor, makes me curious on what they could've been studying here," he looks to the other curious if she has heard anything more than he has. "Any theories?"[break][break]

He judges the other slightly as she seems disappointed about what this place might end up as. "Possibly but what it gets used for isn't our concern," he simply comments before entering. Thankfully it was day so the use of his arm wasn't needed. He scans around, most of the equipment was weak, but considering the foliage it was more likely due to age. [break][break]

moving up in the ranks? trivial in the grand scheme of things. rocket would likely fall again, like its predecessor, or take momentary control. nothing was ever permanent.

two arboks appear on either side of natalie, their hoods opening to cast a paralyzing GLARE onto the small host of a swarm. what creatures that were not burned alive had their muscles locked, and crashed to the floor.

snakes break off and begin their feeding process, the smell of dissolving carapaces and innards filling the small space. natalie makes no show of it bothering her.

As the other scientist throws out her snakes to help his Chandelure. The fire pokemon smacking short work of the infestation and their nest. Though he would bring out a water pokemon to boot to ensure more of the building wasn’t damaged. [break][break]

“Cold and cruel, many would make their own ranks suffer for their own gain because many were out for themselves,” it was harsh, especially when you got started. “But once you’ve been in it long enough, and have power of your own it gives a feeling similar to getting a breakthrough in a project that you’ve been spending near a month solving” [break][break]

Surely she would understand such a feeling.
