the waves were rough today.

[break][break] they crashed against the rocks unwillingly, the dark form of a human being barely visible beneath their current. his psyduck and shiny feebas swam behind him, as jayden dove deep beneath the waves. he was following up on a tip that he had heard about not all that long ago, of an abandoned ship only a few miles away from shore.

[break][break] sure enough, as he pulled himself to the abandoned ship that he had visited several months ago, there were bits and pieces still here. but it looked different.

[break][break] a piece of wood is pulled apart on it's hull, the unmistakable markings of what is a claw mark. 'it couldn't be... could it?'

fingertips traced the edge of the boat. he could recognize clawmarks of his brother's arcanine anywhere. a shiver passed through him as he remember aleks — a bright flash of red, teeth, claws —

[break][break] another shiver passed through him. but this was not due to a memory, no.

[break][break] jayden recognized this one. it set him at ease.

[break][break] he did, and surely enough, there was a yamask that had come to greet him. he straightened up and smiled as the pokemon drew close, fluttering. he reached into his pocket and pulled out a poffin that ghost-types often liked, and sure enough, the yamask took well to it. as it was distracted, the dark-haired youth pressed a pokeball to it's mask, hoping to capture it.
