Amor was curious about his next opponent, they were about to walk out to the battlefield from the tunnel, and it was a name he would know, because of course he would. This man was the current Champion of the reason which only confused Amor on how he wound up paired with him, but it didn't matter. Amor had met most of his challenges head on, with the exception being that horse that Zac had. Though there were times when you just had to admit defeat no matter how much you wanted to keep on. Though again that defeat yielded more than lucrative results as Zac gave him access to all the battle data he had from his gym, some of which included other Legendary Pokemon. Defeat was an easy price to pay for that.

However now that he was up against the current Champion he couldn't help but to wonder how he measured up to him in terms of skill, though he doubted he would be using his A-Team as it were, it would still be interesting. Besides he already had his Pokemon picked out. Though he hadn't released him yet, his Sceptile was raring to go. It would be it's first battle of the entire tournament, and he was raring to go.

"Yes...That is me. It is nice to meet you Mr. Lopez." the business formality apparent in his tone. Amor was dressed in his usual black Kalosian suit, and he nodded to his opponent. "I look forward to testing my mettle against you..." He smiled softly to the man, and then headed out to take his spot on the battlefield. They could continue on with the niceties, but Amor was here for one reason. To see how he measured up against this regions trainers, whether win or lose, he would learn all that he could.

He let out a soft chuckle when he stated that calling him 'Mister' made him think of work, and Amor could respect that. Perhaps he was just immune to it because everyone where he lived, called him 'Sir', 'Mister', or 'Master' he would have to remember that not everyone was like that. Nodding to him he noticed the man was twirling his Pokeball in his hand, and playing catch with it aimlessly. For someone with such a high stature, he seemed very easy going, though that would make it the most fun. If he was the typical silent, and stoic trope, Amor doubted he would have made it as far as he did.

"Well I will do that. Kyle it is. If you're ready, then I say let's get this started, yes?" He asked the man curiously holding his own pokeball carefully in his hand. Once the go button was pressed they would both send out their Pokemon, and Amor's chance to take on the Champion would begin. Though it wouldn't be the last time, once he collected the necessary badges he was going to go, and take him on again officially. After all why stop short of greatness?

The man sent out a Washer Rotom, Rotom was a pokemon that was seeing more wide spread use as it acted as an artificial intelligence of a sort. Able to inhabit many things, and make them better in a sense, Amor sent out his Sceptile in a flash of light, and the man called out it's attack. It was to start out with a status inducing move, Vilu still had his weights on, so he was moving at normal speeds, but that didn't mean Amor was going to allow him to be burned.

"Vilu, dodge, then use Leech Seed!" He called out answering the mans own status move with one of his own. Vilu leapt to the side avoiding the ghostly blue flames of Will-O-Wisp, and then from the seed pods on his tail, beams of light would shoot forward towards the W-Rotom in an attempt to tangle it within a leech seed. The hope was to slowly sap his strength while they attacked him in order to cause him to fall over quicker.
