Melody was excited today! It was time for her first sky battle! She swung her feet in the air as her Drifblim carried her with it's arms holding onto a swing set, it looked like it was straight out of a movie that she used to watch as a kid so she was happy with it. [break][break]
Besides her was her Chimecho and her Dragapault who she chose for her battle as they both flew around freely in the air waiting for their opponent to join them. "It's kinda spooky up here huh? I'm at least glad you guys are here to make sure im fine. Well you guys and this parachute." she says trying to laugh off some of the nerves she had. [break][break]

A sky battle. Killian hadn't had one of these in a while. Against one of Hoenn's gym leaders, no less. Looking at her from across the sky, he felt almost bad. The Sootopolis leader had no idea the fate in store for her.[break][break]

Naganadel and Golurk were his choices. The Ultra Beast was a terrifying force of nature. Golurk, a powerful Pokemon that you'd never expect to see.[break][break]

In an arrogant show of confidence, the admin rode atop Naganadel's neck. He'd be experiencing this battle up-close. Killian did have a parachute in case things went wrong.[break][break]

"Good luck, superstar." he winks and takes the first move. Naganadel darts toward Dragapult to Leech Life from its spectral body. Golurk fades into the Phantom Force with a mass of swirling shadows.

"Woah! An Ultra beast! Where'd you get this bad boy?!" she said eagerly as she leaned forward on her swing set almost slipping off of it before she grabbed it and readjusted herself. She hadn't seen an Ultra beast before in person so she was really intrigued to see one of them. "So these things were the ones causing chaos everywhere? Interesting. I hope you've trained it well." she said squinting at it, she had faith in her Pokémon so not much to worry about! [break][break]

As the battle began the golurk faded and melody's dragapault was hit with some leech seeds. Ok basic opener, one pokemon acts as a distraction and the other one goes out of sight. So time for a surprise attack! "Chimecho! Wrap it's head! Dragapault dragon pulse!" she orders as both attacks were aimed at nagandel

"I found it in a cave." Killian's curt with his reply, riding on Bloodborne will make talking difficult during the fight. [break][break]

Leech Life lands, providing Nagandel the chance to drain energy from the ghostly dragon. Only a fraction before's quickly darting out of the way of a Wrap attack.[break][break]

Golurk exits from a swirling portal of Phantom Force behind Dragapult. It attempts to tackle the dragon with its shoulder.[break][break]

Sadly, he's too late to stop the Dragon Pulse from hitting Bloodborne. The Ultra Beast is tough, however, and shrugs off the blow. Draconic energy gathers at the tip of its needle and fires a Dragon Pulse out the Dragapult.

Well that puts a certain wrench in her plans, Dragapault was now leech seeded and hit by the dragon pulse Melody had to focus on one target specifically. [break][break]

with no way to really take it off she had to make sure this fight didn't drag on or else she'd lose. Or would she? "Chimecho use safeguard! Dragapault Use bite on golurk!" she orders as Dragpault zooms forward with it's jaws wide open and latching down onto golurk as hard as it possibly could to try and damage it's stoney body. [break][break]

Meanwhile Chimecho floats idly staring at the fight before shaking the bell on it's head as a white thin coat of energy covers both Chimecho and Dragapault's body

Dragapult's teeth cut deep Golurk's skin from its bite. The Golem emits a series of inhuman sounds before taking advantage of their closeness. Fist cloaked in shadows, Golurk attempted to strike Dragapult with Shadow Punch. [break][break]

Nagandel sets its sights on the Chimecho. Fluid floods its bottom needle and sprays outward. A spark ignites the liquid to a Flamethrower that scorches across the sky.[break][break]

The flamethrower consumes chimecho's entire body "Chimecho!" she shouts and the punch collides with dragapult's body and she also calls out to her pokemon. Dragapult releases it's grip on golurk and gets sent flying back a bit. Chimecho seemed alright for the most part and so did Dragapult, however it seemed like dragapult took a bit more damage due to the effective typing. [break][break]

Melody had to quickly counter attack as Golurk was the more immediate threat at the moment due to ghost typing being effective against itself. "Dragapult! Dragon darts! keep some distance if you can! Chimecho use extrasensory to hold it still if you can!" she says expecting chimecho to struggle a bit due to type match ups

Another series of repeated whistles leave Killian's puckered lips. They signal Golurk to go on the defensive. The spectral golem is slower than those around it. Rather than dodge, its body hardens like iron to defend against the Dragon Darts. [break][break]

Unfortunately, Iron Defense left it vulnerable to Chimecho's Extrasensory. Golurk seizes in place, unable to move against the bell's psionic hold.[break][break]

"Bloodborne." the admin whispered, "Drain Chimecho dry." a heft growl spurns the dragon forward. Needle aimed to Leech Life Melody's Chimecho of blood.

Chimecho was a total goof ball and didn't move out of the way in time due to the nature of it just kind floating in the air and got attacked by the nagandel. That thing was vicious! Chimecho's blood was seemingly healing nagandel Melody had to act quickly to remove it. "Dragapult! Quickly! Dragon pulse the nagandel, get it off your partner before it's too late!" [break][break]

she shouts as Dragapult quickly stops it's missile barrage on golurk and turns to blast the blood sucker as Chimecho was helpless against such a powerful beast.

Dragapult alters the focus of its assault, and Golurk seizes the opening. Body cloaked in a shroud of darkness, the golem charged forward like a comet. Shadow Punch poised to strike Dragapult.[break][break]

Naganadel's too busy draining Chimecho dry to dodge. Dragon Pulse lands a super effective strike against the Ultra Beast's armored shell. Killian steadies himself against the beast's neck as it rocks from the impact. [break][break]

"Again." another Leech Life aimed at Chimecho.

Chimecho knew what that mean't and suddenly let the wing just take it as it rapidly began to float around wildly and unpredictably "Now wrap around it's head!" she shouts as chimecho tries to wrap it's bandage around nagandel's head again since it was close again. Dragapult got slammed by the shadow punch and was sent a bit backwards from the force of the punch. "Dragapult! astonish golurk while chimecho tries to distract nagandel!"

The Chimecho was rightfully getting on the man's nerves as it's only job was to distract and support Nagandel, however Melody was not very informed on what ultra beasts even really were or what the ability of known ones could do, for example spit poison out of their mouths. Melody panicked as she had no idea Nagandel could do that, she only really knew it was a dragon and poison type but she should've expected this. Chimecho out a little cry and release Nagandel from the blind fold. [break][break]

However Nagandel's wrappings would be removed only for it to spot two Dreepys flying right towards its body as she fired off a dragon darts right into strange creature's body. The astonish sadly didn't work sadly but Melody was an artist, and artists adapt to situations! "Chimecho! Heal pulse dragapult! Chimecho wrap yourself around dragapult's torso!" if Chimecho wasn't that fast herself then she'd just have to find a solution! Chimecho did as ordered and rung out a beautiful soft tone that caused dragapult's body to glow and heal some of it's wounds.
