Siphoning the pokemon back into its pokeball, he would walk the distance over to Senon, extending an open palm before firmly clasping hands. "And here I thought I could turn it around with PAIN SPLIT."

But that would've required him to bait the spiky shield after, which he'd failed to previously. In the end he would've likely made Gourgeist fall on its own sword over and over again, just to try and make it work. Perhaps it was better this way.

He was probably being sentimental since getting back to Hoenn but he pulled Adrian in for a hug from the handshake anyway.

With where his life was going battles would become a thing of the past and leisure time with friends would be far more of a gift than a common past time.

Todemaru seemed too fatigued to question the exchange.
