The sun was sinking below the horizon, no longer agitating her eyes. Two battles under her belt, and the beach was wide open and free for the taking. It was the perfect time for a battle royale. [break][break]

A battle royale! Fighting against three trainers at once! Cardamom had been a bit nervous about the idea, which was why Luke had suggested Nash be the one she brought to the challenge. The Absol was actually already loping along beside her, his eyes darting back and forth and his blade at the ready, despite its cracked, pitted state. The family had done their best to take care of it, but even they could only do so much for the level of damage it had sustained over time. Nonetheless, the Absol was a vicious and determined fighter, and Cardamom knew he was quite capable of standing strong even without the use of said blade.[break][break]
Once they reached the beach where the battle would be taking place, she saw that one other person was already there. She lifted a hand to wave. "Hi!" she called. "Are you here for the battle royale too?" Nash was already moving to stand in the makeshift arena, pawing at the ground as he waited for his opponents to arrive.

Three more people arrive and they are all given the clear to proceed to the battle arena in the sand. Their section of the beach is blocked off from the rest, with spectators nearby and drones in the sky to capture the heat of the battle.[break][break]

Someone releases a Ninetales, and Emma notes that there are two children in among their battle royale band. Her attention lingers on the one familiar voice for a moment: Eris Halla before returning to the task at hand.[break][break]

She releases her own Pokemon into the fray alongside the Absol and Ninetales: a gigantic Araquanid. It shifts, eyeing up both opponents with it's bulbous, water-logged head.

Unlike many of the others, Luka is a rather nervous one, easily thrown off by the thought of fighting against more seasoned combatants. And yet, he's not quite one to be scoffed at himself, having been able to fight against many of her own pokemon and come out on top.

Nash stared around at the group, his eyes focusing most on the Riolu as the small Fighting-type appeared. The Ninetales' Psychic attack simply washed over him harmlessly, not even having to dodge. He let out a low snarl, crouching as he continued watching the situation. "Don't worry!" called Cardamom. "You know how to handle Fighting-types, right?" The Absol let out a slight growl of agreement, before his eyes flashed a pink color as he gazed at the Riolu. Nothing seemed to happen, but Cardamom knew the Future Sight would hit, even through a protective move like that.

Araquanid only wilts temporarily at the pulse of EXTRASENSORY. One defended, one lunged- but not at her. Which left the Ninetales wide open, and the spider was more than happy to take advantage.[break][break]

with so many opponents to watch, it's nearly impossible to keep up with all the sorts of tactics, and abilities used. the LIQUIDATION meets the ninetales's ribs, pushing her back and into the ground. steam rose from the cream colored pokemon's coat, as her warm body began to bake under the water pressure.

Well, it seemed like the Araquanid and the Ninetales were going to focus on each other for now. However, that meant Nash had to deal with the Riolu, and it was already charging at him fairly fast. "Quick Attack!" called Cardamom. Nash, hearing the command, immediately spun around on his heels, before charging as fast as he could towards the Riolu, aiming to slam into him with his own bulk. The Force Palm would very likely connect as well, but at least he'd be able to deal some damage to his opponent before also taking some.

Steam rises where her attack strikes- but when she tries to do it a second time, it fails. It was like pulling the trigger on a gun with no more ammo, there is just.. nothing. [break][break]

So she opts to do something else instead, changing target last-second to LUNGE at the Absol as it barrels down to QUICK ATTACK the Riolu. All six legs aim to seize the dark-type, to pin it to the ground with the giant spider's full weight.
