the first sighting of something that truly caught his interest.

greyson approaches the small pokemon, eager to see it up close. it however, was not as eager to see him. the wild pokemon's eyes widen and a psychic pulse is shot in his direction. without any time to react, his knees slump, and body feels sluggish. the HYPNOSIS has him on the ground before he could properly react to the attack.

when he wakes, he finds that he isn't alone. autumn, his delphox, levitates nearby, while the inkay was hanging upside down in a psychic bubble. she must've sensed the disturbance and came to help.

"uh, thanks. not sure what happened there."

a hand pats his head sheepishly, and he tosses one of the safari balls at the creature.

well, lesson learned.

and he was running out of time. shit.

having caught the inkay, he stands back to his feet, turning to the massive lake. a bulbous form peeks out, baleen laced mouth opening to... laugh? greysons brow furrowed at the mocking, turning to delphox.

"help me out here?"

she gives him a look that he's seen a million times, but when he doesn't budge, she sighs. using her PSYCHIC, she lifts the creature from the pool and onto the ground.

there, he's an easy capture.
